Zima Ion (Shiima Xion) Signs With TNA

I agree breaking up MCMG was dumb

The Guns weren't broken up. Sabin is injured and will be out until January. Where would you put Shelley? I wouldnt mind him in the BFG series, but he wouldnt be a serious contender most likely. The X division is the best place for him right now.

As for Zeven Ion, I have two thoughts on this. The negative part of me says I dont care about Ion, because he didnt impress me as a character. The flip side is that it looks like TNA is damn serious about rebuilding the X Divison, which is a great thing. It was essentially what TNA got recognition for, and the signings of Aries, Ion, Kid Kash, and the return of Shelley has me excited for whats to come. Its quite possible we'll get more storylines out of it, which is an awesome thing. Shelley and Aries have already developed a rivalry, and its not even over the championship. Signing Ion is a great thing as long as they focus on him, and the other new signings, and give them storylines and ring time. With all the recent signings, I dont see how they can't. This is another great move by TNA in what appears to be an attempt to rebuild the best division in all of wrestling. Now give him a defined character, a reason to like or hate him like they did with Aries, and Ill be quite happy. This is an exciting time for Impact, and I look forward to the future to see growth in the division. Awesome move.

Am I complaining about them bringing in Jack Evans despite MY PERSONAL dislike of him? No. I'm not saying don't bring in guys that had a chance, but there are guys out there who are good. TNA is suppose to be the place for guys who aren't Vince's idea of Champions...but TNA people are telling me Shelley can't be viewed as serious or a champion? Next thing you'll be telling me Jericho was never main event material

Well when Jericho first came into the game he was in an environment in WCW where guys like him were put into the Cruiserweight Division. It was only until WWE who were actually pushing young guys at that time, that he got his big break. But please remember, Jericho had things Shelley had such as a gimmick, mic skills, the ability to work other styles. Shelley at the end of the say is seen as just some high-flyer.

He doesn't really amaze me as much as a guy like Aries or Kid Kash did when signed. The reason being he's shown to have very little if no personality. His time in the X Division tournament just showed him performing high spots and nothing more. Get another guy like him and TNA pretty much found replacements for the released Generation Me.

Didn't feel like he showed me much on his first showing on TV. However, he did work his way through the contract match and never looked out of place. At the same time he never looked like the guy everybody was watching and cheering for. I guess that isn't saying too much given his competition but I feel you've got to grab the bull by the horns in a position like the one he was in, just like Aries during his matches.

From the view so far he seems like a decent filler x-division star, a consequences creed/suicide type guy who'll put on good matches but never be the star. I feel he has to show me more before he deserves it, speaking as someone who has only his two matches and interviews so far to go on.

In a way I'm because it's giving a young and unknown talent a shot at the big time in front of a worldwide audience but at the same time, he didn't impress me in his Impact Wrestling match and it needed the experience and abilities of his Destination X opponents to make him seem a lot better.

I hope TNA make sure he gets the right opponents to help him settle in and improve because otherwise it'll be another fail signing like that no talent Jesse Neal

Still not sold on this guy. From the limited exposure we've had from him, he can work a match fine, but character-wise he's certainly sub-par, and his personality is incredibly dull. Someone ought to teach the guy how to cut a promo and not sound like a D-rate actor, if possible. They could keep their EYE ON him, so to speak. ;)

For people to get a better look at how he is promo-wise, I found this on YouTube. This isn't the EVOLVE promo I was talking about as that one took place right before his match out in the ring, but it still gives you a chance to see him actually cut a promo. It's not amazing or anything, but it's certainly not bad.

He displayed some very good heel-ish personality on a few of the shows this year that I've seen him work on, typical cocky "Look at me and how awesome my moves are, you suck", and that's a good commodity to have in this business. Besides, we don't really even need him to talk in TNA, just have him wrestle those fun X-Division matches and we're golden.

What I like about this signing is the potential upside with this kid. He's young, can do great spots and didn't look out of place in the contract match. He'll be going into a division that is starting to be refreshed which should be a confidence booster knowing they have a spot for him and intentions to use him on a national stage. He has a good look, and paired with AA and Shelley and kash we have a group of workers that can make the X Div interesting. IW will need to create a reason for people to care about him though, aside from his athletic gifts. At first just being a young upstart trying to make a name in the X Div. will suffice but if he never gains an edge he'll be stuck in mediocrity. I like this signing alot actually and am still holding out hope for Low Ki.

I don't know much about Xion except for the two matches that I have seen him in and I wasn't overly impressed, but I'm not against giving him a chance to see what all he can do and if he can develope a good character/personality. I would prefer to see him change his tights, they're not a good look IMO and might be why I'm not overly thrilled or into him. I would have like to see TNA resign Low-ki, I've always liked him and the intensity that he brings to his matches.
