Tale Of The Tape​

Robin Diamond has just debuted in YWL. We see how Diamond made an impressive debut. On her first match, she defeated Madison Kluke. She defeated her next opponent Prince Kato as well. Ghoul attacks a fallen Kato after his loss against Diamond. Diamond runs down to save him when Ghoul bails. We see a flash of Ghoul's promo where he says "A woman beating man is unacceptable. Kato deserved the beating he got from me." Diamond confronts him and says "It was acceptable. If you think a woman can't beat a man. I have an excuse. I challenge you. I can beat you." Thereafter, Ghoul attacks Diamond numerous times. Subsequently, this feud turns into a bloody one. Diamond demands a Tables Match.

We open in Wembley Arena, Wembley, London as Alma Barnette who seems to be ring announcer is standing in the ring.

Alma: The following contest is a Tables Match. Introducing first from Wembley, London weighing 170 pounds standing at 5'5" "The Paragon Of Beauty" Robin Diamond

Pink lights fill the arena and Robin Diamond comes out to her music. She slaps hand with some fans at the ramp side. She enters the ring and poses on all four turnbuckles.

Alma: And her opponent from The Dark City weighing 235 pounds and standing at 6'2" "The Nightmare" Ghoul

Lights go out as a creepy music plays. A singular spotlight falls on the top of ramp where we see Ghoul standing. Ghoul stumbles his way down to the ring. Now, he stands quietly facing Diamond.

No sooner did the bell ring than Diamond charged at Ghoul. Ghoul sidesteps her as she runs into the turnbuckle. She screams as she is hurt. Ghoul grabs her from behind and gives a German Suplex Hold! Another German! Yet another German! Diamond is screaming in pain. She clutches her fist. Ghoul grabs her for another German Suplex... But, Diamond flips away. Ghoul is greeted with an Enziguiri as he turns back. Down goes Ghoul as Diamond gains some momentum. Referee starts counting. At the count of 4, both stand on their feet staggering. They trade punches with Yay/Boo situation. Ghoul gets the better of it as people boo mercilessly. Ghoul deadlifts Diamond for a delayed Gutwrench Powerbomb!

We come from the break as Ghoul slaps Figure 4 Leglock. Diamond is screaming. She tries hard to flip and finally the submission is flipped as pressure is on Ghoul now. People are cheering. Ghoul gets to the rope as referee asks Diamond to let him go. Diamond releases Ghoul. Ghoul is panting heavily. Diamond climbs up the turnbuckle and comes down with a Frog Splash. Ghoul is out cold.

Diamond pleads and goes out for a table. She removes the ring skirt and picks a table. She slides the table in the ring. Ghoul is recovering. Diamond stands on the ring apron where she is met with a big boot. Down goes Diamond as Ghoul soaks in the boos. He goes out, grabs Diamond and gives her a Belly-to-Belly suplex. Diamond is crying loudly. Ghoul lifts her up and sends her into the ring post. Diamond is now busted open.

Ghoul drags a limping Diamond into the ring. Ghoul enters the ring and lifts Diamond up for a Powerbomb but Diamond counters into a hurricanrana for a huge pop! Diamond climbs the turnbuckle as the crowd comes to life. She comes down with a flying leg drop.

Diamond sets the table and drags Ghoul. She lifts Ghoul up for a vertical suplex through the table but, Ghoul counters into one of his own. Again, the boos echo throughout the arena. Diamond stands up as Ghoul takes her down with a vicious clothesline. He drags Diamond near the table and deadlifts her up for a powerbomb. But, Diamond jumps away and nails a Superkick! Ghoul lays on the table but, it doesn't break. Diamond goes up the turnbuckle as Ghoul is lying there. She comes down with 450 as Ghoul moves away and Diamond goes crashing down the table. The Crowd is shocked.

Tale Of The Tape​

The Skull Baron was arguably the greatest threat in YWL's history. His intense physique and violent nature frightened people. He took the YWL by storm. He was the first wrestler to sign with YWL. On the first episode of YWL, he began his reign of terror as he crushed Robert Martel in a fairly short match. Since then, he had destroyed every obstacle that came his way. Giants like Freddy Wilson also lost to him. Overall, he was the greatest villain ever seen in late 1990s.

A youngling named Brick Mason was rising his way to the top during The Skull's reign of terror. He had the spectators behind him. His motto was to "Never Give Up". He was, in fact, a man of mettle. He rose through stardom and the last hurdle in his way was none other than The Skull.

This match was made official by YWL's owner. On the biggest annual show of the year Coronation 1988, the prestigious inaugural vacant YWL World Heavyweight Championship was on the line. This match eventually became the most talked about match in YWL's history.

We open in Wembley arena, Wembley, England to see 6,500 fans raising their voice at the biggest event of the year.

Announcer: The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the YWL World Heavyweight Championship, Introducing first from St. Cloud, Minnesota, weighing 290 pounds and standing 7' tall The Skull Baron

The Skull comes out extending his hand wide. The look on his face frightens kids and women in the arena.

Announcer: And his opponent from Providence, Rhode Island weighing 240 pounds and standing 6'6" tall, Brick Mason

Brick Mason comes out to a humongous pop. He gets in the ring and high fives fans. Now, the music fades as referee calls for the bell.

Long staredown to begin with crowd going wild. They start with a lock up for the test of strength. Obviously, Skull gets the better of it and applies a headlock. Mason is trying his best to overpower but, he is unable to. He kneels down and punches Skull in the gut. Skull loosens the grip as Mason hulks up. Mason elbows him few times in the guts as Skull lets go Mason. Mason runs to the ropes and eats a clothesline from The Skull. Skull again applies the headlock. But, Mason moves away. Mason stands up with faltering feet. Skull is still fresh but, Mason is exhausted. Skull grabs Mason and executes a Suplex to loud boos! Skull covers 1..2..Kickout. Mason kicks out at 2. Mason hulks up and stand. Skull and Mason go face-to-face and the shoving begins. Skull Irish Whips Mason into the corner! Another Irish Whip! Turbuckle Clothesline! But, Mason moves away and Skull goes right into it. Mason chops Skull few times on the chest. Skull shoves him down! Skull delivers a standing elbow drop! Cover 1..2..No. Mason kicks out at bare 3. Mason rolls out of the ring. Skull sends Mason into the ring post. Skull grabs Mason but Mason moves away and nails a Boot! Both men are down as the count begins

Mason and Skull get inside the ring at the same time. Mason clotheslines Skull down! Cover 1..2..Kick out. Mason is frustrated. Slowly, both stand. Skull with a Big Boot! Skull lifts Mason up for a Gorilla Press Slam! Skull is laughing. Cover. 1..2..No. Another Kick Out! Everyone is shocked! Mason kicked out of a Press Slam! Skull again lifts up Mason but Mason runs away. He comes back with a clothesline! Skull falls like a massive statue! Mason, taking advantage of the situation, hooks the leg up for a cover.1..2.. Kickout. Skull kicks out right before 3. Skull slowly stands up and corners Mason. He headbutts Mason. More headbutts! Mason moves away and Skull's head is rammed into the turnbuckle. Mason sees the oppurtunity, and irish whips Skull into the opposite corner. Skull stumbles to the middle of the ring. Mason lifts Skull up and POWERSLAM to the pop of the night! Mason runs to the rope and executes a leg drop! He hooks the leg.

Fans cheer heavily as their hero has just defeated a monster. The emotion at the face of people and Mason can't be put into words. The referee raises Mason's hand. Mason takes the YWL World Heavyweight Championship and bursts into tears. The show ends with 6,500 fans on their feet cheering loudly.
