Getting Noticed By Management
So there's a lot of complaining on these forums, which I'm not complaining about (see what I did there) it's a forum it's to be expected, but I just felt like being positive for once so I figured I'd ask what everyone's favourite three things happening in wrestling full stop, so any promotion, at the moment are? I'm sure it's been done before but the beauty of time is it moves forward so obviously everyones answers will now have changed. I'll start with mine obviously.

1) I might not agree with how they're booked all the time but Fortune 5 of the most talented guys in the industry none of who are exactly old and are all capable of 5 star matches. Very few stables can boast that. TNA struck gold with these guys and they could be the making of their company if put to work properly.

2) Christian and Orton, they've been putting on fantastic matches in the last month or so and with Christian now turning heel theres a lot of potential to make this even bigger. Hopefully Vince has been keeping his eye on all this and noticed that maybe, just maybe Christian could be given a longer title shot.

3) Last but not least Cody Rhodes, a guy who's taken a character that when I first saw I assumed would be his death toll and made it intriguing and fantastic. This boy could go to the moon and back if he keeps it up and I'm sure I'm not the only one who can say I would never have seen that coming out of the legacy split.

1) Rhodes- Agree and disagree. i agree that he is on absolute fire right now, and i think that the world title is not to far away for him at this time. i disagree because i knew he would become something during legacy. he was the one who always stood out between the two to me, and i thought he would go far.

2) Miz and del rio do not have the title. no joke. i got so sick of the miz as champ, and del rio does nothing for me. hopefully they are away from the titles for a long time. (note: not too happy about the holders being cena and orton, but ill take what i can get)

3) R-truth. his heel turn was the best thing for him and made him go from floundering in the midcard, to maineventing against cena.

1. R-Truth, I've loved his heel work since his turn on John Morrison, it's been so well done, the Little Jimmy jibes, the water drinking, his mic work in general, his paranoia it's Fantastic

2. Sin Cara, I'm a fan of Lucha Libre but unfortunatly for me there's no coverage of it over here in the UK so seeing Mistico/Cara in the WWE is great and he's getting a decent push to

3. The Miz, wasn't a fan of his until he teamed up with Morrison and since then his in-ring work and his mic work have improved massively and I hope he's in the Main Event scene for many years to come

1. Cody Rhodes - Kid is amazing. He has taken his character and made it his own, and instead of staying in his father's legacy like DiBiase did, he is forging his own. He cuts great promos week after week and the paper bag scenes each week are golden.

2. C.M. Punk - Albeit not doing much lately and being saddled by the heat-killer that is The New Nexus, Punk is still one of the brightest stars and most mis-used talents in wrestling today. He has heel in-ring psychology down to a T and can work the stick like a master, and could probably incite crowd riots if he tried and wanted to. And that isn't speaking on his actual in-ring abilities, which he has in spades. You hear people talk about all they want is wrestling, but it won't draw without an entertaining back story, at least not at higher echelon of pro wrestling. And vice versa, a storyline won't work if the stars invovled can't back it up in the ring. Punk can create one of the most interesting promos and back it up with a 30 minute, five-star classic with most wrestlers on any given day, a reason why I think he is quite possibly the best pro wrestler today.

3. Zack Ryder - Say what you want. Say he is only good for cheap comedy. Say he can work in the mid-card at best. Say he is talentless and is cheap, say his character will never work. The fact is, whether he is doing it on his own, or whether WWE is helping him somewhat, Ryder has charisma in spades and has combined it with dedication and solid in-ring action to develop a cult-like following in just two short years since his newest persona debuted on ECW. He was good as a Major Brother and Edgehead, but he shined in solo action and is becoming one of the brightest stars in the WWE and pro wrestling today, especially through his web show on YouTube, Z! True Long island Story. It may be through cheap comedy that sin't for everyone, but few can tell me he is not charismatic, because he is, and with the proper build and tweaks, he can succeed at any level, no matter the character or doubters. Few thought The Miz would succeed either, but look at where he is today.

I can't believe I missed out CM Punk... The guys golden I've got to agree with you even if Nexus isn't working Punk just seems to look amazing whatever happens. Might even be one of the problems with Nexus in that when you're put next to a guy like Punk it's a lot harder for the rest of them to stand out. Total moment of idiocy on my part forgetting him in terms of my list.

well for me i would say 1. fortune. i personally like every single member n fortune rite now n granted, after dis whole immortal crap is over wit honestly i would like for them to stay as a group, cause as far as tna are concen they r the best thing oin for them at the moment. hopefullu none of them will b waised n all get pushed to the moon soon. 2. chrstian, his matches wit orton have been phenominal, n wit dis heel turn im rea
lly curious wat theyre gonna do hpefully he will get nova tile run n a decet one dis time 3. c.m punk to put it simple hes the best at the moment. period.

1. Christian - Him having a short(very short) reign as World Heavyweight Champion was a bit of a slap in the face of the guy, but I think its lead him into better and brighter things. His pops are becoming increasingly louder with every week, his credibility as a main eventer I think is rising and his name is increasing is stature due to the push he's getting from the good feud with Randy Orton. All around, I have to say my number one thing in wrestling currently is Christian's deserved rise into the main event picture.

2. Alex Riley & The Miz - I have more interest in watching the promos between Alex Riley and The Miz than any promo involving the likes of John Cena, currently due to the rising star which is Alex. I've watched him since FCW TV, great athlete, good on the microphone, has the look. I hope he comes off the back of his feud with The Miz, in a big fashion.

3. Daniel Bryan & Cody Rhodes - I'm really anticipating a feud between these two, I think it's exactly what they both need right now. Bryan to get back into that position he had before the "Ladies Man" crap kicked off and Cody to elevate him further. Really hoping they're given a good program.

1. Michael Cole. His heel turn has done absolute wonders for him, he has charisma now and I certainly am a fan of the dude no matter if I get heat for this or not. He cracks me up on commentary at times, he's become hilarious.

2. R-Truth. Another man whose heel turn has done wonders for him. Like Chris Jericho said, he's the next big star in WWE. He's much more interesting than he ever was, his mic work is much better than it ever was and whenever he calls the little kids "Lil Jimmy's", I just can't stop laughing, fuggin hilarious.

I don't really have a 3rd tbh but I would say Raw would be the closest to being third cause it's only the interesting flagship show these days and I look forward to it every Monday and watching that horrible TNA has just made me love WWE even more. I thought WWE may have been in a bad state with this PG era but turns out TNA is even worse in their own little "Attitude" era. But boy a TNA in PG would be the end of the world as we know it *shudders at thought of TNA in PG*

1.TNAs Knockout division : They actually have good matches and even sometimes extreme match types , and they all do it while looking sexy as hell

2.Zack Ryder and his attempts at getting a huge fanbase and hopefully a push by promoting himself through funny internet media

3.R-Truth acting like a maniac is hilarious as someone else mentioned

1. R-Truth - Why didn't this heel turn happen sooner? I can't look away from the tv when R-Truth is on now.

2. Alex Riley - Finally getting his chance to work week in and week out in the ring.

3. Cody Rhodes - Took an awful gimmick and made it interesting. Only Cody could pull that off this effectively.

My favorite three things in wrestling at this moment are:

1. Christian vs Orton: This is the kind of stuff that we fans have always believed that Christian is capable of. We have always known that he can put on show stealing matches and feuds and hang in the ring with the very best of the company. We are seeing all that manifest currently. The storyline is not anything earth shattering but at the same time it is intense and emotional mostly due to the talent of the competitors involved. The matches that Christian and Orton have put on so far have been the best matches in the WWE this year upto this point.

2. R-Truth: Man! this guy has been brilliant ever since he went heel. He raves along like a lunatic conspiracy victim, says the most outrageous and entertaining stuff and yet he can do serious promos equally well. I would say that he has been the highlight of RAW ever since he has turned heel. There is no telling what R-Truth will do or say next and it is the first time in years that I have been this interested in his character. His new entrance music or the lack of it also adds to his character. "The truth shall set you free": simple yet effective.

3. Riley/ Miz and Cody(tie): Cody would probably have been higher on my list had this topic been made a month earlier. I haven't liked his stuff that much lately even though the matches have been solid. That paper bag stuff that he does looks way too gimmicky to me. WWE needs to focus back on Cody's paranoia at becoming ugly in some other manner. Still he is one of the more entertaining young superstars in the WWE currently.

Riley has been mighty impressive so far in his feud with The Miz. He does seem to have some genuine charisma because the crowd has popped huge for him whenever he has either talked back to Miz or attacked him. The real test for him, however, will come when he gets in the ring with The Miz. But he certainly has been given the platform to become a star.

1) John Cena :

He's the man, and I believe in him. Call me a kid, a girl, or whatever you want, but I'm a huge fan of him, he's the main reason I watch Raw and PPVs every time they're on.

He has never failed to entertain me, he has wrestled great matches especially in last 2 years, he has had best angles and stories, and he's the only guy that I 100% care about in wrestling. He makes me interested about the product, I liked Nexus, I adored Miz, and I can't wait to see what happens with him and Truth, Del Rio and other coming people, and that's all because of John Cena. There you go.

2) The Miz: I love him.

He, for me, is like the voice of our generation. He is different. Big players in WWE have always been big guys with badass looks with action hero haircuts and alwasys trying to be either intimidating or funny on the mic.

But here comes the Miz, he has different look form what you expect from a wrestler, his size is like the average guy, his catchphrase is as simple as it could get, and he never tries hard to sound funny or heroic or dangerous(hey, Randy), he's just himself and he's like one of us younger fans, that's what I like about him. To me, he is the evolution of wrestling characters, and I'm really looking forward to see what happens to him next.

3)R-truth/Christian :

Hey little Jimmy! That's all I'm saying for Da Troof.

Christian is the guy who I felt in love with recently, he is introducing an interesting character back to wrestling. The guy who thinks he needs to prove something to everybody, while he knows that It's really about proving himself he can be the man. That's something that's been missed since maybe Eddie and Benoit times, so I'm enjoying his work.

1 - R-Truth, R-Truth, R-Truth! The Truth, the whole Truth, and Nothing but the Truth Shall Set You Free! R-truth is the best reason to be watching wrestling each and every Monday night right now. His heel turn has been handled better than any in recent memory, and the angry, crazy, paranoid black man is easily the most interesting and entertaining character on any wrestling show right now. The "Little Jimmy" and "What" interactions he has with the crowd have not been seen in WWE in years, no face or heel gets into it with the live audience like Truth does right now. I look forward to hopefully seeing a long and fantastic feud between Truth and Cena.

2 - The Champ is Here!! I love John Cena and I hope to see him keep the WWE title until WM28. No matter what Cena is doing right now it entertains the hell outta me. Be it him kicking ass or telling corny jokes, he is still my favorite wrestler of the moment.

3 - Sheamus, this guy is the future of the WWE. He has it all and everyone knows it. He has had excellent matches against guys like Christian, Orton, and Henry over the last month and proven that he can hold his own in any style of match. His mic skills are above just about anyone that has been in the business for as short a time as he has and even beats some of the vets on the mic as well. I would love to see Sheamus have a face run maybe against a heel Christian, I think that would be an interesting feud down the line.

Honourable mentions to Cody, Christian, Crimson, ODB, Brian Kendrick and Eric Bischoff (who I think has excelled since the beginning of 'Wrestling Matters').

3: R-Truth - I don't know if he is destined for the top tier but the schizophrenic / paranoid Ron is absolutely molten at the moment. 'Little Jimmy' is THE phrase at the moment.

2: Alex Riley - A-Ri has moved seamlessly out of the Miz's shadow. If he gets a solid push on SmackDown then there should be big things ahead for him.

1: Bully Ray versus AJ Styles - When 3D broke up, I don't think anyone gave the overweight, ageing Ray any chance of singles success. But he has grasped the nettle, lost weight and delivers on the stick every time. His reward is a feud with one of, if not the best in ring performers about and what AJ lacks (promo work), Ray can more than make up for. As was oft repeated in Forrest Gump, these two look at the moment like they'll go together 'like peas and carrots'.

1/ Christopher Daniels is back on television. One of my all time favourites is back in the ring. I'm very happy that TNA has re-signed him and so far (thanks to being a part of Fortune) is on tv every week since his return. Happy Danielsmark right here.

2/ Hiroshi Tanahashi is doing a great job as the IWGP Champion. He is putting on some entertaining defences of the belt. =

3/ Sting is TNA World Champion. My favourite American wrestler is once again World Champion and kicking butt every week. I know he's over 50, I know he's not in great shape and I know he's not putting on stellar matches. But hey, I'm a massive fan and he's the champ! If TNA is a trainwreck than why not have the Stinger as your Champion to atleast try and add value to the title and damage done by Jeff Hardy.

1.Mr. Anderson dressing up like surfer Sting. Love the promos form him and its kind of a nice look.

2.Like most people, R-Truth. His new "crazy" gimmick is actually making me interested in watching Raw.

3.Bully Ray. He has been really impressing me on the mic and he seems legitimately intimidating.
