You Make the Top 5 (or Top 10): WWE Wrestlers Likely to be Future Endeavored Soon

SixMovesOfDoom

Occasional Pre-Show
Hey all,

Now that Wrestlemania is over, it is usually around this time that WWE does a purge of its talent.

So what I want to know is who do you think will be future-endeavored within the next few months?

REMEMBER: this is not necessarily about who you think deserves to be future endeavored, but rather who you think will be removed from the roster due to other factors.

Here are picks for a possible list:

1. Jack Swagger - great in ring talent, but nowadays all he does is job to Rusev.

2. Zack Ryder - speaking of jobbers, they seem to put him in there only as fodder for others. Seldom on TV. No longer an Internet darling.

3. Adam Rose - Declining presence on TV. If they don't do something with him soon, I can see them releasing the Rosebud.

4. Eric Rowan - Constantly jobs to Big Show, now that he's no longer tagging with Ziggler and Ryback, will they do anything with him?

5. Lana - They seem to be giving Rusev more and more time on the mic, as well as teasing a breakup between the two.

6. J&J Security - Big Show and Kane also serve as security for Rollins. I could see him letting them go via a beat-down from Kane and Show and then they fade away.

What does everyone else think?

Zack Ryder - Surprised he lasted this long honestly. He'll be gone soon.

Lana - There's no need for her with Rusev.. Rusev is good on the mic and doesn't need Lana, put her with someone else or they'll get rid of her

Cameron - No use for her.

David Otunga - He's only there because of his wife and i think WWE will realize soon it doesn't mean shit if he's married to Jennifer Hudson.

Fandango - His stock has fallen so much he's never seen anymore.

I would say AJ to, but she's already gone. :D

1. Zack Ryder- If they don't cut Ryder, I wouldn't be surprised if he just quit as they have nothing for him.

2. Fandango- He hasn't been relevant since his feud with Chris Jericho.

3. David Otunga- Can't see a good reason to keep him on the roster.

4. Adam Rose- Unless they give him a shot as Leo Kruger again I don't see him staying around for long.

5. Heath Slater- Not sure that creative will have any use for him.

As for those suggesting Lana should get cut, there was an article last week stating that Vince Mcmahon was high on her and that he had big plans for her so it seems there would be no chance of her being cut.

Jobbers have a place on the card. Guys like Luke Harper and Zack Ryder have a spot on television just as much as Ryback and Rusev do. I can't imagine WWE letting go of somebody as intimidating as Harper. Dude can get pinned every week and still look like a threat when he needs to be.

And Lana being Future Endeavored? Come on. The only person today that holds a candle to her is Paul Heyman and she doesn't even have all of Heyman's experience. Can't let go of someone like that. If it's splitsville for Lana & Rusev, then Lana can make a star out of somebody else.

J&J Security are needed with The Authority so far. Seth Rollins is the champion that needs backup on a daily basis so without Noble & Mercury we'd have Kane & Big Show and I'd rather choke on my own plucked eyeballs than to see them as Seth's sole protectors.

There is only one person on the roster that continues to get paid and I'll never understand why, and that is Cameron. She makes The Bellas look like The Hardy Boyz and Big Show a fan favorite. Her acting is on par with something you see in a children's unrehearsed play and her ring skills are the equivalent of a geriatric dying on the floor of a Bingo Hall. She was the first to get kicked out of the last season of Tough Enough yet she's screeching her way on tv. God. Damn.

No WAY are they releasing Lana... they just put her in a movie, she's in the Pitch Perfect sequel if anything they promote her...

Otunga is probably safe as he can work legal, his contract there would be roughly the same as his talent contract so it's not really an issue for them to keep paying him as they get value for his services.

Others like Fandango and Slater have probably had their shot now, with NXT grads coming up in batches at least 5 mid-card guys could be in jepoardy but also bear in mind they have saved a lot on contracts this year compared to last with Punk, ADR, Rey and now AJ off the payroll... all the NXT guys coming up are on far lesser guarantees and will be heavily incentivised, so the need to cut isn't as bad.

Anyone who gets cut this year is arguably worse off however, as it won't be a cost cutting move like Drew Mac, where it was clear he had value but not what they were paying him... guys who get cut now, it's cos they blew it and there'll be unlikely to be a way back for them.

My number 1 pick would be Randy Orton, Started off with good potential with the legend killer gimmick and had great matches with Undertaker, Mick Foley and Beniot but has just completely fell away for me the past few years, Haven't really seen a good Orton match for like 10 years and it just feels so dull and repetitive watching him now and hes probably one of their highest paid so they could save a lot of money in comparison to cutting one of the jobbers.

1. CAMERON: Rumor has it she won't be on Total Divas next season, so REALLY no reason to keep her around now.

2. Fandango: Haven't seen him around the ring lately, and that's never a good sign. WWE doesn't seem to have anything for him at this point and he could be on the chopping block.

3. Heath Slater: Slater's really done all he can in the WWE and he' built himself a nice little career. That being said, there's too much talent for Slater to be of any real use right now... unless WWE decides to keep him on the couch, I can't see him staying much longer.

4. R-Truth: Perhaps Wrestlemania was Truth's send-off? He's over 40 now, and has had two decent runs in the WWE. I personally liked K-Kwik better... seriously though, I can see WWE setting Truth up nicely on his way out.

5. Rosa Mendez: Same reasons as Cameron.

As for Adam Rose, Erick Rowan, Luke Harper and the like, I think WWE still sees potential in all of them. They're still relatively young and WWE always needs guys who can work, even if it's just to job. Luke Harper would be especially hard to replace imo. I picked my 5 because I feel they all have had chances to prove themselves time and again and have fallen flat, save R-Truth who has built a good career. Why keep dead weight?

You must be Joking or Trolling Anyway
Here are my top 10

10. Zeb Coulter - Poor Guy has nothing left for him to do.

9.Cameron - Who? The less popular Funkdacktyl who has done absolutly nothing ever, Usless time to leave and make space for Sasha and Charlotte.

8.David Otunga - He had potential but theres nothing anyone can do to save him.

7. Brad Maddox - Got fired as a GM never came back

6. Los Matadores + El Torito - Usless Gimmick, Useless Everything!!

5.Adam Rose - People can't do anything with this Gimmick Unless they bring back Leo Kruger or Adam Kruger!!

4. Summer Ray - Talentless just a nice face

3.Hornswoggle - Where has he been, Released thats where.

2. Layla - Shes getting too Old and theres no place for her on the Roster

1. Christian - As much as i'm a fan of him he's one of the best of All time but he has nothing left to do in WWE or Anywhere he deserves a Hall Of Fame induction next year.

Truth is no one can actually "Blow it" if your Gimmick is a Matadore with a Twin who says Ole for no reason and a Dwarf Bull as ur Manager thats what ur stuck with and if ur an Indian Rockstar with a Southren and Scottish tag team partner with the same Gimmick thats what u have to deal with, its all in Creatives hand.

A lot of people listed have plenty to offer or have only had one shot and need the chance to try a new gimmick. Some suggestions seem ludicrous but most have a basis. My opinion on so many of these people are positive

Adam Rose- has only had his one gimmick so far and it is such an extreme and face one it may seem hard to salvage it but really there are a fair few avenues to go. For me i'd suggest him start behaving more and more depraved and incoherent, as if his party has gone on too long and he's losing his mind from it all, he touches on that in his Rose Garden clips on WWE.com. it helps recently he's been having watery red eyes and smudged eye shadow, makes he seem less of a fun party animal and more of a drug addict with a twisted perception. He can talk very well when allowed, he has an intimidating South African accent and can deliver one hell of a spine buster. I honestly think he'll be safe they just need to have him re-find himself with an edge.
also here is one of his promos as a heel/jaded warped individual
http://www.wwe.com/videos/adam-rose...en-wwe-app-exclusive-january-19-2015-27027790

Luke Harper- Quite simply the best 'big man' wrestler that's been seen in decades, can tell phenomenal stories in the ring, can pull of cruiserweight moves and super heavyweight ones without missing a beat, and if your see his other work can cut promos and pull great matches out of the bag when requested. should stay hopefully.

Lana- Has charisma, looks, mic skills, and is apparently training for in ring competition at some point, and one would assume given her ballerina credentials (and don't be mistaken, ballet is one of the most physically demanding and difficult acrobatic feats somebody can attempt) she may be capable of having a good match. also she's got a blossoming film career that can be profitable for the E

my predicted 5 would be

- Zack Ryder. He is stagnating and offers very little currently, however he's still only 29, has almost 9 years of WWE experience, so hopefully a spell away would let him refund himself, gain some momentum, and actually one day return with a bit more about him

Heath Slater. Has good ring skills and can be very funny, but again has suffered and stagnated, having gone from group to faction to team to partners he's never truly stood out on his own aside from 1MB which never really had hopes of taking off. Hasn't had a fair shake of the whip but unfortunately is towards the bottom of the pile

Byron Saxton. He's currently in a sink or swim situation and is clawing for air. His voice is pretty boring and he lacks a lot of charisma. I can't imagine Vince caring much for his commentating and with their Full Sail connection probably have tonnes of guys clawing at the bit to get on screen in a non wrestling capacity. id say if he doesn't turn the past few weeks around he could be in trouble. Also Albert is an extremely capable commentator who could find his way on regular TV at some point

I feel there could be a few ladies being let go to make way for what could become the greatest female class in WWE history when the NXT girls mix in with the likes of Naomi, Natalia, Paige, and Nikki. Those that I feel could go both Summer Rae and Cameron offer nothing outside of Total Divas which has a large cast that can chop and change quicker than even wrestling can. Also Tamina could be at risk as I'm unsure if she's still injured or not, but either way could be dropped due to lack of activity or a lack of use, which would be a mistake as she can wrestle very well and offers something no other woman can in her size and strength. Hopefully we'll be saying goodbye to Rosa Mendes, Cameron, and Summer Rae.

First off I'd just like to preface by saying that I'm such a big fan that I like pretty much all of the performers in one way or another & I don't want to see anyone lose their job. But as a fan, there's a few of the talent that I really don't care to see on my television screen ever again, such as: Adam Rose, R-Truth, Darren Young, The Bella Twins, Eva Marie, JoJo & Cameron. As for the superstars I could actually see being released this year for one reason or another:

- Brad Maddox: He hasn't appeared on TV in a very long time, which is always a bad sign, & he hardly did anything or got any sort of a reaction when he was on TV. While I personally found him to be somewhat talented & entertaining, I don't think most fans even remember who he is at this point, let alone care.

- David Otunga: I think he's been off TV for even longer than Maddox, I've completely forgotten by this point. I never cared for Otunga & I think most fans either forgot all about him or have no idea what he's been up to & don't really care. Unless Otunga becomes the new JTG, hanging on to his employment by a thread for several years, I can't see him being with WWE much longer.

- Heath Slater: Slater is probably my "long shot" or "wild card" in some ways just because he is the only one on my list still appearing on WWE TV regularly or semi-regularly. But overall, I just don't see WWE doing much more with Slater. The last time he was really relevant was probably his One Man Band schtick leading into RAW1000, which was almost three years ago now. He's a talented guy but his matches usually get some of the smallest reactions of the night & all his gimmicks since, from 3MB to Slater Gator pretty much scream of him being desperate & the writers having almost nothing for him. Unless he can catch another little wave of momentum to keep him going, I don't see him hanging on much longer.

- Layla: Another one that has been off of TV for awhile now. & while WWE has seemingly run their course with some of the other performers, I think they have REALLY done just about everything they can with Layla since she has been there so long. The Divas Division is obviously moving in a newer & more fresh direction, & with whatever knee problems & personal issues she's been dealing with on the side, I just don't really see a place for her anymore.

- Rosa Mendes: She's a bad performer, she's had multiple stints in rehab, I believe she's currently banned from in-ring action (although that could have just been for the stupid Total Divas show), which speaking of, she has apparently been dropped from the upcoming season of Total Divas, the list just goes on & on. The girl has issues & her only real "talent" is being attractive. I honestly don't see why she's even been kept around this long.

- Hornswoggle: Another performer who's been with the company for several years, he's done just about everything entertaining that WWE could do with him & he has now been off of TV for awhile as well. Not to mention he's had a longer & more successful run than almost anyone thought he would. I say good for him, let him retire to his lair under the ring & live out the rest of his days watching re-runs of Little People's Court.

1. Emma: Here is one of the few in recent times whose transition from NXT to the main roster didn't work out so well. At one point, she was seen as the future of the divas division along with Paige. But look at the difference in level between the two now. A huge part of the blame should go towards the stupid dancing gimmick, but getting sent back to NXT from the main roster is never a good sign. NXT too already has its share of talented women; I feel the WWE has nothing more in store for her, and will be releasing her this time.

2. Cameron: She is the female version of JTG, although even less talented. Kudos to her for hanging along for so long, but her time is up. She is totally useless- no pretty face, no remarkable assets, no acting skills, no wrestling skills. With Alicia Fox, Summer Rae and Rosa Mendes as the resident jobbers, there is no need for her even in that department.

3. Zack Ryder: The most popular pick in this thread, it seems. Sparingly seen on TV, same old Woo Woo Woo, suffers from the spineless JR syndrome, and someone that would rather take a naked stinkface from Festus than train some more. Will surely get fired this time.

4. Goldust: He was brought back to help out his brother Cody when the latter was struggling; he have his best performance in his final run, winning the tag team titles, showing some versatility other than the sssssssssss breathing, adopted two new awesome face paints, and gave us the brother vs brother feud that we wanted to see. With Stardust going strong presently, Dustin has served his purpose.

5. R-Truth: Ron Killings has reached a plateau. Good unorthodox wrestler, actor, comedian, singer/rapper, but there is only so much more that he can do. Right now, he only adds numbers to mid-card ladder matches and battle royales. People relegated to this role are always on the edge of the cliff and may be swept off by a strong gust of wind like the post-WM season firings.

For the people listing Brad Maddox, he did make a very brief appearance on Raw on Monday so idk if that means he is coming back or what but you never know.

1) Zack Ryder - I think this dude has stuck around way longer than most expected him to. I will give him props on making himself relevant a few years ago but its obvious WWE sees nothing in him. If he isn't released he should just ask for a release.

2) Cameron - Why is even on the roster I don't understand. It's time to clear the useless people off of the roster and since Brodus Clay left, she has been of no use.

3) Hornswoggle - I am pretty sure the little guy is still under contract as I don't recall seeing him be released be reported. Hornswoggle should never have had the feuds he had, he should consider himself the luckiest sob on the roster.

4) Bull Dempsy - Do people see anything in the guy? Because I certainly dont. He reminds me of a toned down less talented version of Husky Harris.

5) Mojo Rawley - He doesn't get hyped, he stays hyped. Thats his character...LOL. Just let him go.

Talking about J&J being released it a bit silly. They're road agents who happen to currently have an on-screen role. That's not going to last forever, but that won't mean they're released, either, just relegated to their previous duties.

Admittedly I'm not a big NXT watcher, but from what little I've seen, I think he's pretty good for a guy with his size and bodytype. Nothing amazing, but good enough to be a worthwhile jobber- if anything.

It's really hard to say. WWE isn't doing anything with Adam Rose, but they didn't do anything with Curtis Axel for a long time either. It wouldn't surprise me if Rose appeared on NXT again. I think Zack Ryder is a major possibility, but he did look really good when he returned at the Rumble. Too bad he hasnt really done anything since then.

Heath Slater has become to look sickly to me and I'm not sure why. Last year, he looked fine. But his last few appearances, he looked older, tired and even more pale than usual. There was a time I thought he'd be safe, considering WWE loves using him as a comedy act. But he was more-or-less replaced by Mizdow and now Curtis Axel is playing the role.

Otunga is probably the most likely though for the obvious reasons.
