Yoshi Tatsu

Sora/roxas

Pre-Show Stalwart
Know if you dont follow superstars at all you wouldnt know that in the last few weeks he has picked up a few wins and last week on RAW he won a tag team match against the tag team champs. So the question is, where is this push, however minscule, leading to? i'm sure for the next few weeks its a tag team with Mark Henry and a tag title shot which they will lose. From there im not sure. It depends on how they lose. If they lose clean then im not sure, but if they lose from interference i see a longer lasting tag team and maybe even a stable with Evan bourne. Thoughts?

Its leading him to being a consistent player on Superstars. I remember hearing people clammoring for Chavo to get pushed because he won like 3 straight matches on Superstars. I like Yoshi, I really do. But he's marginally taented, and hes not threat to any title. Any storyline he's involved in wouldn't work, because he barely speaks English. He and Henry may get a token title shot against Gabriel and Slater, but nothing more. his biggest barrier is he doesnt speak English, so it makes it virtually impossible to build a storyline involving him. I think he's destined to be a Superstars guy, and theres nothing wrong with that. Many a wrestler would be happy to have his job.

Lulz. Yoshi Tatsu isn't going anywhere; you're looking too much into this. Superstars is a show that rarely anyone watches anymore. Very few actually give a damn about that show; and very few give a damn about the talent that appears on there. Yoshi Tatsu is no different. The fact that he has won a few matches and has had one, maybe two appearances on Raw in the past weeks means nothing.

Perhaps the reason that he was in a tag bout with Mark Henry against the tag champions was because they were just doing their jobs---being jobbers. Although they may have won the match, it still doesn't deny the fact that that match was just a filler to compensate for the night's schedule. Yoshi Tatsu is nothing more than a jobber and I doubt that he will be getting a push any time soon. Simply put: he's future endeavored.

As others have said, there's no push going on here. Realistically the only reason Yoshi Tatsu was in that tag team with Mark Henry is because Evan Bourne is out at the moment. There's nothing in Yoshi that we don't already have in the WWE in several other wrestlers, and we aren't likely to see him do much more than he is now, unless his English dramatically improves.

LOL... I think you are digging a little deep with this one. While Yoshi isn't the best talent WWE has, he isn't the worst. Hell, everyone has to win a match every once in a while. He is marginally popular to a small degree.

This will not amount to anything and he will continue to win and LOSE matches on Superstars and/or Raw. I can guarantee you this....... He will win more matches on Superstars than he will on Raw, his whole career.

God damn would I love a push to be given to Yoshi. He is just like santino, a ball of pure fun and energy, there is absolutely nothing dislikable about the guy. He has been in WWE for long enough that they can start really using him now, he's paid his dues so to speak and it is time for a hint of a payoff. Not only that but he hasn't put a foot wrong, he has wrestled just great and played his part to a tee, for me it is purely hopeful, but I want to see the guy start to get pushed into an evan bourne position ie have him seen more or less weekly on raw in unimportant matches and positions.

For me the plum in the pudding was when jericho had his contemperate version of his famous man of 1004 holds promo, he was listing good opponents he had beaten and in that list he named yoshi tatsu, go back and listen if ya like. But this to me, unless chris jericho couldn't think of any more names, means that he considers tatsu somewhat of a good opponent worthy of mentionning... of course from his japanese days.

He has the likeability underdog factor already just like taka mikinouchu did in the first light-heavyweight championship match, and ability to make something more of himself than he is given, he just needs a push now. So I do hope your right Mr. thread maker.

I think Yoshi is fun to watch, but with no cruiserweight championship in the wwe, he isn't going to do much of anything. A pairing of him and Bourne would be great to see as the high energy offense would sure make people watch. Yoshi was fun to watch on ECW and if he's a regular on Superstars, at least he's on t.v and we can see him again!

Yoshi Tatsu as talented as he is, the man cannot speak english nothing can involve him unless he gets a translator or something that can help him communicate with the crowd. He is a jobber plain and simple, superstars is his best gig and really to be honest that is all he will amount to a glorified jobber.

My guess would be nowhere. It's a shame too, because he is pretty good in the ring. But since they won't give him a mic I am guessing that his mic skills are held in pretty low regard. One thing that gets on my nerves though is the mark henry + cruiserweight tag teaming. I would love to see 2 high fliers team up to go after the gold.

Let's look at the facts..

Yoshi Tatsu will most likely never be pushed. EVER. Why? Well, he can't talk at all and his in-ring skills are far from perfect. Plus, he can't sell murchandise.

Let's put it this way, do you buy tickets to Raw so you can see Yoshi Tatsu? Exactly. He's a smaller guy, too, and let's face it; Vince doesn't normally push smaller guys.

I like Yoshi in general but he's not a very good entertainer. I hate to burst your bubble, but it's the truth.

Yoshi will get minor pushes from time to time, to keep him popular, but nothing big will happen. The most I see happening with him is that he makes a tag team with mark henry/ Evan Bourne. They go for the tag titles a couple of times, then break up.
