Gimme some swank ass lucha matches to watch man. I've got the last three months of CMLL, AAA, IWRG, and PDM TV on my HD, but I don't feel like scouring through it all to try and find a few great matches.

What are some of the best lucha matches you've seen over the last few years? I'm on a big lucha kick right now and I need my fix man. I saw a kick-ass match between Valiente and Polvora on CMLL TV a week ago that blew my face off, and now I need MORE!

Also, I'm considering starting an All Things Lucha thread, but I get the feeling it will wind up as desolate as the All Things Puro thread.

Latest I've seen was "Homenage A Dos Legendas". Half of the card wasn't up[loaded by this channel, but the one's that were are fun.





The Middleweight title match was my favorite. Great work, simple story booking, awesome spot with a killer Moonsault.


Great all star match featuring Alberto Del Rio and Sin Cara pre-WWE and Dr. Wagner JR. Too bad the match is crammed with commercials.

If memory serves right, he's the current AAA World Champion after beating Dr. Wagner with Konnan and Hernandez' help. I don't see much in him. They should've tried re-hiring Ricky Banderas.

Is this a match worth checking out, or what?

Just watched Mistico vs. Ultimo Guerrero from 2/26/05, pretty good stuff revolving around Guerrero being totally over-the-top and being outsmarted by Mistico into losing two straight falls. Nothing amazing or anything but very good. ***1/2

Also watched Averno/Mephisto vs. La Sombra/Volador Jr. from 1/16/09 earlier and was blown away, the match of the year talk was well founded. Sombra sells his arm like a boss through out the entire thing and takes an epic beating. Volador gets pinned and it looks like a foregone conclusion for Mephisto to just casually dispose of Sombra after all the punishment he's taken, but he gets rolled up and Sombra and Volador win the tag titles. Awesome closing image of Sombra totally exhausted on the mat with his new belt just draped over him by Volador. Awesome stuff. ****1/4

Screw Impact tonight, I'm just going to watch CMLL.

Just watched Rey Misterio (the first) and Super Parka vs Rayo de Jalisco Jr. and Hijo Del Santo. Starts pretty slow but picks up in the second part. Not really that good at first but picks up rather well half way, unless you're into wrestling shenanigans. The original Rey Misterio actually played the gimmick by doing all sort of weird stuff in the ring.

To kill boredom, I'm gonna watch the latest uploading of IWRG. First time I watch the company since probably 2006. Something I clearly remember is that ALL their champions are Intercontinental Champions. That's just ridiculous. Anyway, to who may care and feels interested:
