WZCW Discussion Thread

Basically I'm only likely to have chance to write anything good next week so whatever makes that within deadline I would appreciate.

So just an impromptu poll. How many people would like to see the boards for the Roulette Rounds go up before All-Stars in finished? I'm not guaranteeing that this will happen, but I'm trying to keep the fed train in motion while All-Stars comes together.

My vote is no. Simply because it often leads to people missing them if they don't log in between boards being posted and show going up.

That being said I realise I'm in the minority so why not.

The fed usually is dead between the RP deadline and the shows and this time its more than just dead. So I would welcome this idea. At least it'll keep the members talking.

BZT is also going on so many of us are occupied with that.

I vote no due to several members being guest writers and I'd hate to have them juggle the Roulette Rounds where there is a possibility they'll get title shots and the like. All Stars is coming together very well and I should have matches finished on my end by the end of the day.

Shouldn't be a question. All Stars and BZT aren't the priorities for !most of us. Besides it'll have to be an extended deadline anyway.

I've gotten enough feedback that I've posted about it in the back.

I don't want to undermine All-Stars, Spidey has been doing a wonderful job, but I figure an extra few days for the deadline can't hurt.

Why not post the card in the .com section? (which would be a good use for it FWIW, hit me up if you want me to write it up as an article)

I definitely say yes, as all stars and the bzt aren't something I'm into, so it's been a very dull period for me on here..just anxious to see what's next really

Hmm, according to the live events schedule...after All Stars V, we have MeltDown Madness. Is this an advanced version of MeltDown? What's the Madness all about?

The roulette rounds are next. Everything is randomised from the participants to the stipulations to the title shots. Titus might end up defending his championship in a triple threat match OR he could just as easily be in a tag team tables match where the championship isn't up for grabs at all.

We're not supposed to know who we face though, that's half the fun of the Roulettes. I'd say only have it revealed what the potential gimmicks are. And I definitely think every title should be on the line no matter what. We had this discussion last year since Howard drew Slaughter for example.

I remember drawing the world champion last year. I only suggested posting the matches to the .com section because it's a good way to produce content for it and I had forgotten that we all post our RPs into a single thread.

Let's face it that whole section has been bereft of content for years. Posting match cards there immediately after the shows and having hype threads for PPV matches right after they're announced seems like a good way to produce content for it.

The Roulette Round RP boards are literally just a single thread for anyone to submit. You guys don't have to design the matches until the RP deadline, and even then, it's all randomised anyway.

Why not just post up the single thread with an extended deadline? We get an extra week for people like Tasty who can submit an RP, and for people who are guest writers for all-stars. Tasty can RP in the first week, guest writers can RP in the second week... and there is no skin off creative's back.

This is pretty much my thinking.

All I would be doing is posting the thread now, instead of in a couple days after All-Stars is finished.

I'm finally catching up on all the NXT specials.

Any PPVs I should check out as well? I started Barely Legal the other day.

Without sounding like a dick, a cursory internet search will provide you with tons of lists of the best PPVs available on the network.

A lot of the In Your House PPVs were above average. There were some stinkers, but more often than not they were good.

KB's site is really good for this as well.

I usually don't put much stock In stuff I read on the internet for the same reason I don't listen to movie critics. I generally find them unreliable and completely full of shit.

I may disagree with anyone of you guys but the odds are a lot smaller.

Like Thriller said, use KB's site. I generally agree with his reviews, and I know you have admitted to being a fan of his books. A good rule I use is that if the PPV is an A or an F I have to watch, for various reasons good and bad.

Off the top of my head, if you want to watch the exact moment when people started to get tired of Hulk Hogan's shit, watch Uncensored 1996. It is a largely crap PPV aside from a solid match between Konan and Eddie for the US title, but it has a laughable 30 min street fight with The Road Warriors fighting Sting & Booker T, and Hogan and Savage fighting ten men in a triple cage. I think KB gave it a Z rating it was so bad.

The Uncensored 1996 review is still hands down the funniest thing I've ever written. I'm never going to try to redo it because I can't top what I've already done.

FYI, I'm enjoying a break from all things Fed related... Or forum related too, I guess, until the All Stars round is posted. I'll get all PMs and other stuff when I return.
