Mario is much faster than what you calculated. He can outrun cannonballs and dodge lightning and lasers. In SMG2 he outran meteors.

As much as I'd love to load the tourney up with people like Satsuki, Kamen Rider Fourze, Minako Arisato, Sho Minamimoto, Yu Narukami, Faust, Slayer, anyone from Baccano, KOS-MOS, etc etc etc, I have to find the right balance of fun, unique, and well-known. I get my self-indulgent picks like Light and Alucard and then I get to contribute some fun obscurish ones like All Might.
