WZCW Discussion Thread

Yeah, great feedback, Show. A lot of people will find that very informative. And a lot of it mirrors my own thoughts. For those who want to know my thoughts on (almost) all of the matches, I'll be posting my feedback for (almost) all of the people who took part in this round after the shows are posted.

I would really like to hear your thoughts. Hope the shows are close :)

There's a new App out now called- Grammarly - going to use it for all future RPs. What do you use to check your RP for errors? I used Free Spell Check online but that only goes so far. This Grammarly is supposed to not only spell check, but also fix sentence structure and correct wording as well.

I use nothing other than myself. :p

Awesome. Looking forward to that.

Call me old fashioned, but I prefer to try to catch my own errors than to rely on any type of software or website to do it for me. It may flag things as errors when I know for a fact they are correct. Same reason many people hate Autocorrect.

This scares me a little bit

It shouldn't. Even if it comes back negative, a feedback from a veteran Creative member is always a good thing considering they are the ones determining the official results.
My brain knows this but my first instinct is to curl up and a desire to quit hits me. I actually have to read it twice to actually get what they're saying and process it.

Counter-argument.

When Showtimes says this:

This type of event in an RP is one chance, you can’t recreate this type of moment
he's showing how little he understands creative writing.

Not only can you recreate this type of moment. You should do it in every single one of your RPs from here till the end of time. Own it. Make "Tony's parents die-but-not-really a mafia-ish death" the selling point of everything you write. If you really want, this can be something I've long dreamed of: WZCW's version of Tim White's Lunchtime Suicides.

Do it, Milenko. Don't think. Unless thinking helped you write this round's RP. Then definitely think.

In order for me to do this I have to know what you're talking about...which I don't.

Happy birthday to both Milenko and FWR. I expect whoever is writing that match to include a giant birthday cake with strippers inside to pop out and sex up both Manson and Mancini.

This is perhaps the best idea of all time. It's right up there with Milenko/FWR's match being a lumberjack match consisting of their past characters.

This has a good outline for a gimmick-type RP. Every RP Tony's Parents die in horrific fashion, Tony is trying to come to grips on his own reality and starts to slowly lose his mind. The reader only getting little hints here and there on what really happened. This would be a major turn around for the character and it could have interesting upsides. The downside would be; taking Tony seriously anymore and it just starts to blur the line between comedy and seriousness. Plus, there's already two or three WZCW characters that have issues going on in their heads. One more might make it too much.

If anything Frank N Stein, your RP has generated chatter in the boards. That's better than having a boring, unmemorable RP.
