As a Wiccan I say ur wrong.

Then suddenly a Prismatic Dragon appears.... He does 60 D12 (720 HP) of damage to you. Nice knowing you, Spidey.

Maybe a nice Cleric or Favoured Soul will come revive you if you ask nicely, then again at -700 HP you might not be in good enough of a condition to do much of anything.

Nope male witches are wizards/warlocks/sorcerers.

Wizard can be neutral but females tend to be witches or sorceresses.

Both of you are technically correct.

In D&D and RPG terms, wizards/sorcerers are typically male, while females are witches or sorceresses. There are gender specific terms for magic users. Likely just based off historical writings that influenced the fantasy genre. Also keep in mind though, in the days of the witch hunts, males were also accused of being witches, not warlocks.

In Neo Paganism, which includes Wicca, often times witch is a nongender term used to describe both male and female practitioners of ritualistic magick and belief in either a duotheistic belif of a God and Goddess, or multiple gods pending on the pantheon your specific individual beliefs follows. This isn't just specific with the word witch either, as a nongender term is also used in Neo-Druidism (I'll let you guess what that term is). Heathens is also used in almost a semi ironic way but still a non gender term.

The reasoning for a nongender term is typically because Neo Paganism has a very firm belief in gender equality, the God and The Goddess are equal yet polar different parts of the higher power. This all being said, it's very possible that some covens or groups may have separate names for male and female practitioners, mostly due to how open to different interpretations are and the fact that it is often highly encouraged to develop your own belief system, and thus different ideas and terms may be in use.

Source: Heavily read up on Neo Paganism and religions in general.. I also carry beliefs from the traditional Gardnerian Wicca system in my own personal beliefs. My book collection in terms of Wicca is pretty extensive.
