I felt the need to answer this. I grew up relatively close to MSG, and met many of the wrestlers in the late 80's and early 90's. I saw Macho Man as the nice guy that would buy a kid a hot dog, as well as seeing him be the jealous husband on TV, so I have always been a little jaded by promos that are supposed to be real.
The few promos that really felt like they were real, and meant something, all happened way too long ago. "Cane Dewey" was, is, and always will be my favorite promo. CM Punk was close, but that was so screwed up by the powers that be.
I can't think of a single promo during the modern era that really gave me those chills that you're talking about (but don't mention). The build for HBK/Taker and HBK/Flair was up there, but there wasn't a single moment (until Flair whispering "Thank you").
Tasty definitely nailed it with this, and the mistake I may have made, was reading the Discussion thread, before reading the promo.

Rolled high enough on a Strength check to pick up that many would be my guess. Or "A wizard did it" is always correct in any capacity for any "how" question.
I always go with the Wizard excuse.

As a fellow Umineko fan I can tell you that it was probably magic.
He got cloned. There's a million Leon's and rumors say Doctor Anderson did it because cloning is a form of ART!
On a serious note.... Stacey should be used more often across the board. People use Leon WAY too much in my opinion.
EDIT: Just realized you might have no idea who Dr Anderson was. He is my heel Art Professor character from All Stars. Here is that RP:

I've only used Leon and Becky my entire time here. Alhazred isn't allowed near women interviewers I would imagine.

This last RP was the first time I ever used Stacy, as far as I can remember. I would say a big part of why she's used less is that it can be hard to use a heel interviewer in general, but even moreso with a heel character, whereas Leon works with everyone

I haven't ever really used Leon. In fact I only ever recall using him a handful of times.
I used Stacey a lot when she was first introduced. Then Showtime got board of her...
I use Klamour a lot with Showtime. Not really with Ryder though, but there's reasons why I don't.
Leon is the safe interviewer. As the only face interviewer, he works well with both heels and faces. His dialogue can be pretty generic or in-depth. There doesn't need to be a whole lot of personality with him, whereas there usually is with a good Klamour or Stacey portrayal.

That was probably the first interview RP I've done in maybe 6 months. I used to do them every round with Celeste.
