Fucking RP's, if I give someone the gist of what I want written, would somebody mind writing it for me?
I'd normally leave this to Barbosa, but he's got a title to defend this round.

My RP is what I would call a fence-sitter - even in my own mind. One minute I think it is good, the next I want to delete large sections of it.
The character development is either inspired or madness. At this moment, I am veering towards the latter...

I am growing warier by the minute.
Still probably better than a Ricky Runn Valentine's day.
Was the Jon journal entry a good addition for fleshing him out, especially so creative gets a better handle on him? I was planning to do like three of them total.
If it's seen like the one I did a few years back, you are SCREWED.I'm writing a Christmas themed RP, so either this works brilliantly or Ricky get's dropped onto his head... several times.
It was a good read, but I'll provide you with a tip. I wouldn't ever submit something like that for a match. I read it out of boredom (don't get me wrong, I liked what I read and want to read more of these) but had I not been bored, I might have skipped it. You only used one font color. That could hurt you in a match RP. Look at mine for instance. I have assigned a different color for each character in my RP's. Theron is always red, no one else ever speaks in it. Pink is pretty much always going to be Tiffany/Kirilah but it might be used for a female NPC if Tiffany/Kirilah does not appear in that RP. Either way, the color is only used for one character. The same point can be made for the rest of the allies and the colors I assigned for them to speak in. Cyan or purple might get used more than once but they are always used for NPC's, villains/opponents, etc. Descriptions in black. See what I mean here? The differences in text color can help bring in more readers. Your story kept me reading, but your big block of text might make some avoid it in the first place.
Oh yeah no, I'd never ever do this for a match, as I think the writing style I've been using thus far (prior to this journal) is what works for me.
The reason everything is in navy was because it's a journal entry, so being as it's just Jon writing, there wasn't much of a reason to have multiple colors, y'know? But yeah, I dig the multi color thing, that's why I break up the song stuff into dark red, actions into black and Jon's dialogue/thoughts into navy (bold and italic respectively).
The journal was a means to get out a bit more of his story without trying to directly tie it to something, like music or an opponent, y'know?
If it's seen like the one I did a few years back, you are SCREWED.
Right, but even for a random RP that is a journal entry you are better off somehow changing up the font color. A huge block of text is all that some posters are going to see, and they instantly will go to the next thread. With journal entries it is tougher to find a reason to use a different color, but if you want more people to read it that's just a suggestion. For what it's worth it made me like your character more once I read it.
We have two actually.Do they even have Christmas in Mexico?
I see, alright for the next one I will try and break up the colors, perhaps even if it means just adding in some actions of him actually writing it in between sections.
What about it made you like him more? Should we move this to PM (if you want to continue that is) as to not flood here?
Man, fuck this Australian heat. It's going to be around the 40C mark for the next few days and I've got to write a bloody PPV RP...
Better procrastinate by going finishing off my Christmas shopping and setting up my ps4, with some Minecraft in the mix!
Still probably better than a Ricky Runn Valentine's day.
Here in Arizona we get sometimes 49C (120 F).
