Here in Texas we get 100 degrees in the shade for the majority of summer. It's quite nice. I detest cold weather. We had a bad ice storm last friday and I was ill for days due to it falling on an evening when I had to get groceries, plus the dogs had to go outside. Too much time spent in the freezing cold makes me catch a cold faster than most. I love the warm weather though.

What I hate the most isn't during the day of summer here in Tempe, but at night when it still hovers at around 100 F even at midnight.

I recently took a two day trip back to Los Angeles to see my mom, got off the plane in the early afternoon and it was 64 degrees... in June. I was so happy. Then fly back to Arizona on Sunday, get off the plane, 108.

When I deployed to Iraq, it was 133 one day in the summer.

Add 10 degrees to that because we had full kit on (helmet, body armor, weapon etc.) and it felt more like 145.

that is hot.

4 degrees in Dublin.

Hey Yaz, can I have a do-over for the secret santa name change? I wish I though of it earlier, but I would've loved you to be called Bill Tommington. Just to see who got the joke.

Crikey, must be some strange weather about for it to be so hot.

Was walking around Belfast today and the air temperature was 2C but it was damp and windy so it felt more like -7.

The weather in Ireland is rather strange, especially when it comes to the cold. I have experience absolutely brutal cold in New Hampshire's White Mountains (I think the worst was -18 in the air, another -10 from the wind, not to mention going up on an exposed ski lift with the wind blowing right into my face) but less than a week later, a temperature of 2C in the damp air of Dublin felt just as bad.

Of all the places I would like to visit in the world, Ireland is 2nd.

Not exactly sure really.

I can't say I'm overly familiar with Irish culture, history, etc, and I know (or I think I know) a lot of places in Europe have amazing scenery and sights to visit but for whatever reason I just have a strong desire to one day hang out in a pub in Ireland with some close friends over a large hot meal.

Is everywhere else tied?

Lol no. For me it goes 1. Japan 2. Ireland 3. Greece and then break it down into "hey sure why not" places.

Except Mexico, I never want to go to Mexico.

Yeah, Dublin when it's cold is awful for reasons I'm not sure of. It could be something to do with where it is related to sea level, or pollution or whatever. But I went to the shop tonight and the wind felt like a blizzard.

You're not missing anything by not seeing Ireland. Unless you're a fan of grass or junkies. The place is a heaven for grass and junkie enthusiasts.

Last night has to mark the first time that Shotaro was the loudest during a podcast. I had a hard time hearing Haiku and FalKon at times but I really enjoyed this one. Looks like you guys had a lot of fun with it! :)

So we have two mystery participants in PPV matches and DirtyJosé returns...

Could be coincidence, like an Xfear "return." And then there's the case of a Mr. Black.
