WZCW Discussion Thread

Man, another show and another 2 big wins for people... congrats to Krypto & Beard. My bracket is totally busted. This was a fun first round to the tournament.

I love any show with a good dosage of S.H.I.T. in it, so this was pretty good. Loved giving him the opening segment. So far, S.H.I.T. seems to be the only champ without a clear contender at this point. Gonna be interesting to see which of the people out of the tournament can get a shot @ the Elite X Title...

Also should be noted while JAM and I were trying to think up names, that I had a rare conversation with Phoenix at the same time and he agreed that Los Magnificos Dragones sounded better. Like you said it's nothing serious but it is in fact incorrect grammar wise in Spanish. I'm not too worried about it.

Good shows tonight guys. Looking forward to a Titus vs Vega feud.

The stuff with Armando's momma was hilarious and Izzy went from being the Ice Queen to the Low Blow Queen it seems.

I loved the way KO and Hunter interacted with each other, whoever wrote that segment between the two along with Killjoy for writing the match deserve mad props here.

I'd like to formerly apologise to everyone about the tardiness of this round - there were things that happened during the round that made it difficult for us as it was to get the shows "repaired" and get them up on time but I ultimately pushed everyone on creative over the edge and being a complete dick in terms of dealing with me. I made decisions that weren't approved by the creative team as a whole and I truly went Vince McMahon crazy as Fed Head... delaying the shows even further than regular.

Having the shows delayed, especially with Ascension being late by two days, falls squarely on my shoulders, and I'd like to apologise for everyone about that. I'm assuring everyone that this won't happen again and I'd like to thank the rest of the creative team for putting up with me and creating the shows together like champs. Honestly, after re-reading the shows, these are probably the best shows I've seen in recent memory. So again, sorry.

---------------------------------------

On a lighter note, I'm going to do my RP feedback in three segments (Meltdown, Ascension & Aftershock). Depending on how things go, Meltdown might be up within the next 12 hours but I'll definitely try to have everything done before the weekend ends.

I'd also like to point out that I do believe "Los Magnifico Dragones" is grammatically incorrect as far as Spanish goes. In the english language, the adjective goes before the noun it is describing, but in Spanish (and most other languages) it goes after. The name, if El Califa is truly hispanic and not just a gringo in a lucha mask, should be Los Dragones Magnificos.

I remember thinking how stupid Rihanna is for getting a tattoo on her neck a couple of years ago that said "rebelle fleur" which she said means "Rebel Flower" in French... however, grammatically speaking, it should read "Fleur rebelle."

It's nothing earth shattering... but if Vega ever had a match against El Califa Dragon, I'd probably lambaste him for his shitty Spanish.

"Los Magnificos Dragones" is NOT grammatically incorrect. It's like nicknames. The Amazing Spiderman is "El Asombroso Hombre Araña" in Spanish.

The thing about losses is that for every victory there has to be at least one defeat and even more in multiple matches.

As soon as I saw I was up against Yaz, I knew I was going to lose, but Grizzly was still made to look rather strong AND it was a big man match with some nice spots.

Losing can be frustrating, but with a story arc, it doesn't matter.

Also, how exactly does trash-talking work in MMA? If you lose after running your mouth, SURELY you must look like a right ********.

I loved our match, huge props to Falk, hopefully one day we get to work again without crazy circumstances.

Two 300+ pounders going at it, gotta love that. I marked when Grizz held Mikey in the vertical suplex, as much as I love watching Mikey just power through everyone, seeing someone who could finally match that power like that was amazing.

It's really good to be back. It was me doing an impression of a fictional character doing an impression of Bob Marley, congrats to those who noticed. I would have hidden it a bit better had I known it was going on WZCW.com. Congrats to Cooper on the win, he probably deserved it if I am honest, mine was a bit left field and didn't quite work.

:lmao: I loved how Cooper was written this round.

I figured that if anybody is going to be a giant fan of Justin Cooper, it's probably going to be Jack Cohen.

I also used this round to continue my quest to make Jack Cohen Jewish. He has a Jewish last name and he complains all the time, so I'm pretty sure he is one of the chosen people.

You had a good RP but Cooper was honestly one of the best RPs this round. Under most circumstances, you would have gotten my vote.

Holy crap, I didn't expect at least half of the 2nd round bracket to beat their Round 1 opponents.

Also, I'm glad I lost and I didn't go out weakly or anything. I thought my RP was overkill having looked at some feedback and re-looked over it myself from another standpoint. But I assume the voting was tight on the final 3.

But I have a good idea what to write about next round.

EDIT: Are RP boards up today?

You went out after the best spot of the match, if I may say so.

Honestly, nobody in the Battle Royale deserved to go out first or second, but difficult decisions had to be made.

Really surprised by how strong Adams was made to look in the Battle Royal. I really enjoyed the match too, anyone could have won it. Coberer was a worthy winner.

I'm also really excited about where Adams is heading now. Plenty of ammunition for a good feud in that lot.

You're welcome.

Genuinely enjoyed S.H.I.T's parody of generic, post title win opening promo's. Very much the sort of thing I had in mind.
