I can't say I'm not a little bummed that I lost, but it was a good match.

Congrats to remix for the win.

Also, my bracked for the tournament just got blown out of the water.

Creative booked you strongly because...

"Hickory dickory dock. Creative is on Zeus' cock." -Vega :p

Personally I thought it was handled well because, IMO, a victory in it of itself is huge for Tastic, and he still has more of the tournament to further him momentum if he goes balls to the wall. Zeus doesn't need this tournament, and part of me is glad because you're the type of person that, for now, doesn't need a title. Your character has an aura similar to Jake "The Snake" Roberts, meaning that his words and actions are so engaging and enthralling, that he has the ability to almost over shadow a championship. Zeus, right now, is better off chasing Kurtesy than the title.

I think at the end of the day, this is really correct, and subconsciously I knew that. But I think my eyes got a little too big, and I wanted to be able to chase Kurtesy and the World Title, all at the same time. I thought I could pull it off, but it became apparent really early in my RP where my focus was. And to be honest, I hate that I sacrificed Zeus' character (he would never just give up on a patient) for a pie in the sky dream.

This, on the other hand

However, I would hate to be Zeus' opponent next week.

Was going to be true, no matter the outcome of my match with Matt Tasc. This week's RP was supposed to lull you into a sense of security. If you got the feeling that it wasn't as threatening, that was exactly the intent. I wanted to set up this feeling, for the next week.

Also, something I just realised. The Battle Royale took place at a house show before AF happened. Does that mean WZCW revealed who won the CBR to fans at that house show since the winner of that match was due to be included?

Scratch everything that was said beforehand, as the card is always subject to change. For kayfabing purposes, let's just say you guys did not compete in it at all so that you don't have to address that you lost twice.

We lost twice? Only the CBR winner would have been in the match.

Though I suppose that Corvus (for example) could run with the company screwing him and everyone else in the match over by removing the chance of entering the GR BR.

Let's not make things more difficult than they have to be. The winner of the CBR was not in the Gold Rush Battle Royal at the House Show. Which would be you. See: Card is always subject to change. It's a very, very, minor point in terms of kayfabe.

Voting wise, yes you were considered. I'm saving you from having to have had a lost already on the house show in terms of kayfabe.

Creative booked Zeus strongly because JGlass doesn't know how to write a back and forth match that ended with Zeus losing. I'm sure I could have figured it out if I put more thought into it, but to be totally honest, I didn't do as much planning ahead for this match as I do for others. Usually I try to think of a story and a few spots ahead of time, but for this match I think I came up with it when I was on the john.

I had read Meltdown and noticed how few pin attempts there are in most matches and decided I wanted to write a match with lots of pin attempts, so I had Tastic attempt a bunch of different pinning combinations to start things out. I also didn't really feel like writing a back and forth epic between the two since it was the match going on before the main event and it was just a first round match for the tournament. At first I thought, "This is Dr. Zeus' first loss, maybe I should make it a little bigger," but then I considered that he's really only been undefeated for 5 shows, which is impressive but hardly earth shattering. Besides, catching him with a surprise pin is still a cool way to end the streak (a la Ty Burna).

So ultimately I decided the story I wanted to tell was that while Zeus is the most brutal wrestler in the company, Tastic is the superior wrestler, and this time skill beat power.

I don't know why I shared all of this with you folks, but I suppose it might be interesting to see what goes on in the mind of someone while writing a match.

Also, creative isn't on Zeus' dick. I mean, not all of creative. Just some of us.

I think most of the fed is on his dick... myself included. & for good reason, too. I think Haiku knows that I mean no ill will when I say that. It's an insult coming from Vega but a veiled compliment from myself within the RP. Vega usually tears most people down, but with Zeus, he's more jealous of the attention he gets as opposed to viewing him as pathetic or inferior. It's similar to the way Vega used to speak about Sam Smith. Jealous.

Edit:

On a completely unrelated topic, I just finished reading some fb I got from Shotaro and it got me wondering...

How many people here hate the way I format RPs? I've heard the light gray thing mentioned, so I switched it to darker... but lately I've seen some backlash against centered text as well. I never thought it was that big a deal, and figured if most people don't do it that way, then it helps set me apart a little bit. I've never heard anybody mention that it'd cost me victories in the past in other feds years ago... but here, I've heard some grumblings. As long as there isn't someone on creative that HATES my formatting so much that it's costing me votes, I'll probably keep the centered text, but who knows.

Working on my birthday blows. At least I'm slacking off all day and my boss provided me with apple crisp this morning.

Thanks Falk. I REALLY needed that. Good advice, I never even THOUGHT about climaxes (in the literary sense) when writing Grizzly. I'm soooo far behind my scheduled repping ;)

I do, but you already knew that

Also, I've got plans for Vega. You'd better retain that belt, because after Redemption I'm coming for you!

So wait today is Ty Burna's birthday AND Cassadee Pope's birthday? Well shit this day should be a national holiday then!

Happy birthday Ty.

I don't really mind one way or the other.

This ain't the bar room, sucka.

It doesn't bother me, I've seen so much worse over the years. Like people who use yellow. So that's one vote you're not losing over formatting.

Working on my birthday blows. At least I'm slacking off all day and my boss provided me with apple crisp this morning.

That's funny, your mother spent the night working on my birthday blow on Friday.

Happy birthday, buddy.

You definitely won't lose any votes, but I would be lying if I didn't say that it would make it a hell of a lot easier for me to read.

Right, last time I remember being so pissed off, I beat the Eurasian champ. I'll take either of my lineal title shots now. :)

Happy Birthday bro and trust me, working on your birthday suckssssssss but you should pull through.

Thanks man.

I might just go lock myself in my office and drink by myself however after work.

My wife forgot it was my birthday today.

My own grandmother calls me at work, and all she called for was help on her computer, I get it working and I get no birthday wish from her.

This is depressing.
