WZCW Discussion Thread

And yes J, I have my roster page all tweeked out. I went with the smaller samuray del sol, and was going to do Quicksilver, the silver dragon. But with ty back ill just be using Quicksilver. Out of respect, of course. I just have to do my moveset now.

Random question, who had the longest undefeated streak in WZCW history? By that I mean who went the longest without getting their first loss, not the longest span of time without losing after already having 1 or more losses on their record.

Very happy to see Garth Black return, though I feel it should have been bigger.

Very happy to see Saboteur pick up the victory, though I don't get why the crowd chanted for Saxton seeing as he's in China. Felt it took away from Saboteur's huge win, really.

Me too. He's a former tag team champion, you know ;)

I didn't mind the Saxton chant. I think it really helped put over the fact that Saboteur is truly on his own now because before, Saxton would've been out there to help.

I got my hopes up that IHW was returning soon when he posted in here again cause Hunter-Blaze will one day make a fucking awesome feud. But then he breaks my heart and tells me via PM he won't be able to return for awhile longer.

Two things;

1. I really do appreciate creative keeping me strong in the loss. It felt as though Zeus was still kept strong, while keeping it feeling like a big win for Tastic. Though if some nice member of creative would be nice enough to let me know if it was close, that would be grand.

2. Tastic, go kick some ass in this. I think you have the basis for a very solid theme (4 years without a title shot, the Bully Ray angle), so god damn it, do it

There were votes for both Zeus & Tastic but it wasn't Barbosa/Vega close.

Once Aftershock goes up, I'll do a huge feedback for everyone and I'll reveal my votes for the round so I can go into detail about what I look for when it comes to voting, giving some idea of what to do to get the victory in WZCW.

Welp, I had a funny feeling the loss was coming. Really did enjoy Tastic's RP this week, glad he got the victory. But now this does free up for something else, which had me just as excited.

This also taught me something you should all take note

There will be no more filler
Personally, I felt you posting it so early did you in. I started working on it as soon as the preview went up and then you gave me your RP to compare with a lot of time.

It's become quite aggravating. Much worse than Vega's issue.

By the way, Aftershock should be up in a bit.

Bout how much longer boss?

I think it's more than that; it was only up early because of my intestines issue, but you really put out a pretty damn good RP. That more than anything did me in

Raise your hand if you didn't have Sam Smith, Dr. Zeus, and James Howard advancing to the next round when the tournament brackets were debuted.

::Sees no hands raised.::

That's what I thought.

Two huge upsets in my opinion as far as characters go, but arguably deserved by both RPers. I think Ricky's swag run could be really amazing for him creatively. All he needs is to find other ways to annoy the reader without over using the word "swag" and he'll have found his groove.

Personally I thought AS kicked MDs ass this week, felt more well put together and the ending was pretty sweet. Props to Kermit, too... absolutely loved the way you wrote Vega's segments this week.

Titus, lol.

Am I the only one who thinks Phatso is cool?

Nope.

Couldn't disagree more, mostly becaaause....

...I completely agree with this. For me, the Action Saxton chant really drove home the notion that Sabs is alone now. The crowd chanting for him to be saved during a 2 on 1 beat down, and having it not happen is pretty new for Sabs, and I think it only leads to more interesting "television." JGlass clued me into the fact that he'd probably be entering a prgram with Holmes/Crimson, and I was immediately intrigued. Seeing it play out like this so far has only furthered my interest.

Creative booked you strongly because...

"Hickory dickory dock. Creative is on Zeus' cock." -Vega :p

Personally I thought it was handled well because, IMO, a victory in it of itself is huge for Tastic, and he still has more of the tournament to further him momentum if he goes balls to the wall. Zeus doesn't need this tournament, and part of me is glad because you're the type of person that, for now, doesn't need a title. Your character has an aura similar to Jake "The Snake" Roberts, meaning that his words and actions are so engaging and enthralling, that he has the ability to almost over shadow a championship. Zeus, right now, is better off chasing Kurtesy than the title.

Haha, I'd love it if "Vega/Barbosa" became a WZCW term for a close ass match... kind of like how "X-Pac heat" became a legitimate IWC term for hating a wrestler for all the wrong reasons. I'm also legitimately excited to hear Falk's feedback. Got some great fb from Glass the other day, so I'll be eagerly waiting for Falks input, too. No better way to improve.

I told him that if you put forth an above average effort that he'd be in trouble... but I honestly didn't expect you to come through. No offense, Zeus has just been on fire. I told him I thought he lost me a little bit during his dialogue in the second part, so this is the moost surprising upset IMO. However, I would hate to be Zeus' opponent next week. If he's anything like I am, that loss will do him much better for the future than a victory would have. Losing early in my career to The Bearded Gentleman (fuckin' Jacoby Capone), and then to Connor Ree-uh, I mean Wilhelm Wunderbar 2 rounds later is essentially what fueled my half year undefeated streak.

I think it's more than that; it was only up early because of my intestines issue, but you really put out a pretty damn good RP. That more than anything did me in

Putting up an RP early can work against people, I feel. I know I love it when my opponent puts an RP up early.

I'd also like to point out that I do believe "Los Magnifico Dragones" is grammatically incorrect as far as Spanish goes. In the english language, the adjective goes before the noun it is describing, but in Spanish (and most other languages) it goes after. The name, if El Califa is truly hispanic and not just a gringo in a lucha mask, should be Los Dragones Magnificos.

I remember thinking how stupid Rihanna is for getting a tattoo on her neck a couple of years ago that said "rebelle fleur" which she said means "Rebel Flower" in French... however, grammatically speaking, it should read "Fleur rebelle."

It's nothing earth shattering... but if Vega ever had a match against El Califa Dragon, I'd probably lambaste him for his shitty Spanish.

Kermit you wonderful bastard, including the David Copperfield sign in my match was glorious.

However (and this is probably my fault for not changing it) I'm moving away from the Sexual Savior stuff, it was an Alhazred parody that's kind of worn thin.

On another note I think it's magnificent me and Tastic are facing each other when everybody wrote us off. Oh and I'm so happy fucking Beard won this round, the dark horses run this tourney. Shame it had to come at the expense of the whole TSA.

No I knew it was incorrect from the get go it should be Los Dragones Magnifcos. I switched it up slightly on purpose because it sounded better the way it is now.
