....Wow.

I write one of the best RP's I feel I have ever written and my opponent writes one of the worst RP's I have read since joining the fed (not counting the times when people just put something up to avoid a no show) and I lose.

I know wins and losses aren't everything and I mean this in the nicest way possible...but how the HELL did I lose to Flynn this round?!?!?!

Perhaps it's time for the return of Harthan's Executive Feedback...

Because your RP was bad. You may have felt like it was good, but it wasn't. You crammed about three RPs worth of content in one RP. You lack subtlety, and that absolutely kills your RPs when you're trying to run a gimmick like the one you are. Flynn's RP was pretty bad too, but yours was worse.

And despite what FalKon said, it wasn't a close vote. You have good ideas, but horrible execution.

My advice to you is to pick one topic for an RP and stick to it. The more you throw into an RP, the less focused it becomes, and the less focused it becomes the harder it is to read.

Who even knows at this point. I'm just covered in blowjobs. Surrounded by them.

I'm living in a Blowjob Empire.

It's a blowjob bubble, and you don't know if you want it popped?

Side note; Kermit can write Zeus better than I. And I'm really stoked for KC. Rep coming around as I can

.... Is that from Orange is the New Black, Jglass?

Also, I feel responsible for this. Nightmare, keep your head up, man. There's gonna be bumps in the road.

It wasn't a 7 way vote for Flynn. There were at least 2 votes for Hunter, therefore a close vote. Either way, I'm just arguing something that shouldn't be worth arguing. I just need to prove my alpha male dominance over every creative member.

Okay J would you like to explain how my RP was basically 3 in 1? I really don't see it.

Also after taking a second look through my match I noticed it was basically a squash match. From the sound of things its not like 1 or 2 votes decided the match but come on was a squash match really needed?

Also I was told my manager (the new Katie in my RP's) would be allowed to debut as my manager and yet no sign of her? Also it was my idea for the the cane to be used as a weapon and the EXACT ways I suggested it be used it was....but FLYNN used it on me!

Again I know wins and losses aren't everything but if I'm counting right, i'm now 1-10. At this point it would take like a massive win streak for Hunter to even be considered a threat to win a match. I finally get settled in on a gimmick and begin taking the advice given to me and it makes no difference.

I wrote a pretty good RP, apparently, and I still lost (albeit under different circumstances). It happens. Get out there and win the next one.

EDIT: Seriously, don't go complaining about wins/losses in the discussion thread. It's not a good look. I've lost my fair share recently and you don't see me getting angry, do you? Not everybody will agree with your opinion on an RP -- you just have to keep writing RPs and getting into your stride.

But there's no guarantees the advice will change everything right away, man. At the end of the day, your character's story continues. And yeah, wins and losses are nice, but you just built some more foundation in the future for your character.

I take some blame for this loss; in that I should have said that it could be condensed. But just know, there's no fool proof plan to winning, and it's gonna take time man

I don't blame you at all. It's not your job to make sure my RP's are good.

You have been more help to me than anybody else.

Believe it or not, Jglass is helping just as much as I am, right now.

I'll admit; damn did I underestimate Jimmy Flynn, but I think Jglass is on the money in saying focus can't hurt you in the slightest.

Maybe I underestimated Flynn because he's the only sane one on the roster...

Regardless, this was a great show. Still reading through, but Kingdom Come sets up quite nicely

The way a match is written is not necessarily reflective of how the voting went. Anyway, you got 2 votes and lost 2-5. Shit happens, bro.

We forget things. Sorry. We don't get paid for this shit, and we had an especially hectic round.

We are not required to use to your ideas, or to use them in the ways you suggest. If you were under a different impression, you were wrong.

Losing is frustrating. But half the fed loses on any given week. You're not alone here.

Yes.. lets come off as smug fucking pricks to the guy. Oh shit happens bro. Man fuck, did you guys talk to me when I was upset over losing. In short lose the fucking big head additude, and talk civil to him. Take it to pm dude.

So first you have this random segment with Leon where Dustin Hunter gives this cheesy interview where he talks directly to Jimmy Flynn like its the late 80s and Mean Gene is trying to keep a straight face while Hulk Hogan goes on a coke fueled rant. This type of strategy can work (I know I used something similar to beat Ty and I'm pretty sure Smith has used it to some success (I know that Crock is a big fan of the Steve Austin ECW promo that exemplifies exactly how to do a "talk to the camera" promo)), but having it happen in a Leon Kensworth interview is passe and very, very corny.

That's one RP right there. Not a very good RP, but an RP nonetheless.

Then we go to Dustin's apartment where he's hanging out until he is joined by The Ringmaster. Having The Ringmaster magically appear in the apartment was good, but it was all down hill from there. I mean, what the hell is this?

Dustin: Yes he has. But don't worry boss, when I'm done with him he's gonna be wishing he never crossed my path.

Ringmaster: Excellent. Now I know I can trust you. Which means your ready for the next step.

So wait... The Ringmaster decides he can trust Dustin Hunter because Dustin Hunter wants to beat his opponent? How does that make any sense? And how does that qualify Hunter for the next step?

Furthermore, why the hell did The Ringmaster reveal his name to be Azazel? Was going around calling himself, "The Ringmaster," not creepy enough so he decided to invoke Hebrew mythology? It screams of trying too hard, and at that point it was almost funny how poor the dialogue was.

Two RPs.

Finally, The Ringmaster introduces a girl into Dustin Hunter's life? Why? I'm not sure. Maybe he believes sex is the greatest motivation. Maybe she's his daughter and he wants to see her with a good man. Maybe you're one of the many RP'ers that feel like his character can't exist without a one-dimensional female companion. Either way, the RP does nothing to explain the significance of this new woman other than that she has the same name as the girl Dustin likes and that she's going to be Dustin's manager, and that's really it. It would be nice to have a little more information regarding why, but you provide nothing for us.

So there it is. 3 RPs. One traditional interview with Leon, one where Dustin and The Ringmaster discuss their plans, and one where a new female character is introduced into Dustin's life. The only problem is that you wrote about 33% of each RP and then threw them together into one, and that left it as a very lackluster read.

I wrote a pretty good RP, apparently, and I still lost (albeit under different circumstances). It happens. Get out there and win the next one.

There were talks of putting you over, but we ultimately agreed that a no show means a loss, even if it was something that we were somewhat prepared for

I'd like to think I did, man. Of course, I didn't know you as well, but I don't think it's being smug, just saying the way they see it.

So, is there anything else anyone else took out of what was a pretty damn good go home show?
