WZCW Discussion Thread

There's a couple surprises but nothing out of left field in regards to results at least from my point of view. I'll have to give the show a more proper read once I'm home.

Holy Shit. Awesome show...

Congrats to Showtime for becoming a two-time world champion. Loved the whole thing; the pre-show was a neat idea and tons of storyline progression.

What was up with the tag turmoil clusterfuck? I like it, just wish there was a definitive winn

To elaborate, there was a tag turmoil clusterfuck, and nobody won.

That said, the belt stayed with the right team, and I'm pretty happy with how it ended. The belts should never have been defended in such a gimmicky way in the first place, especially on this PPV, and especially with one of the challengers being a thrown together tag team, and especially with one of the teams being brand new and far less worthy of a title shot than Strikeforce.

But I like what's being done here. I think there's the possibility for a 3 team feud in the future, and while that might be a little hard to coordinate for both creative and the RP'ers, it has potential.

How do you figure that? I agree about the gimmicky match and the thrown together team, but we haven't lost a standard tag match since the team debuted, including a match against Strikeforce.

Yeah. Not just because it's my team you're talking about, but we earned the right to be in the match.

Because you won, what, two matches? And only one of them was against a real team. Plus, we beat you in your debut, so you're not exactly a major threat to Saxton and Saboteur.

I am glad to see the potential brutality of Barbosa's Multiplicity finally demonstrated. Pity it was on Barbosa himself.

Then again a powerbomb over the top rope onto the steel steps is pretty brutal too

In an 8 man tag. You didn't even pin us, Titus did and we beat him 2 weeks later. Strikeforce deserved a rematch, but it's hard to say it should be 2 on 2 when they lost to us.

Pinned a former world champion. Schweet.

I wonder if I should PM Steamboat and see if he wants a Ricky vs Ricky match.

I CAN MAKE IT ON MY OWWWWN

Bummed as fuck to see Gentleman Masque lose. Even more bummed to see Sam Smith win.

Our match was interesting, hoping this leads to a proper feud with a heel Strikeforce. Really wish there were more tag teams around so TNC could be kept busy by some faces.

Not the best PPV ever by any means - The card itself was cluster as fuck and therefore automatically disqualified the show from being the best it could be - but you did well with what you were given. Looking forward to seeing where everything goes.

On the topic of reading others' RPs, I always make a point to read Saboteur's (obviously), Ace Stevens, Connor Reese, Le Gentleman Masque, Rush, and Barbosa. Ones I occasionally read are Krypto, SHIT, Alhazred, Titus, and Celeste. The rest really depends on peoples' feedback and rumblings of quality, as well as how I'm feeling.

Bloody hell guys, phenomenal show.

Everyone on creative should be proud.

Of course it should be one on one, they were the former tag champs. Anything less than one on one would be unfair.

Mason Westhoff has been in the fed for 3 weeks and after week 2 he was given a chance to be on the top of the tag division. From a kayfabe perspective how does that make sense when compared to guys like Saxton and Saboteur, who have been in the fed for over a year, and Howard and Stormrage, who have been in the fed for 6 months more or less?

Well, you won right?

I've been in feds with Gm for 5 years now. Tell me how you would feel after that being your first match with him ever.

And I'm not mad, at staff or anyone. You can ask Alex, I'm a huge Gm mark. Ask him how many times I've talked to him bringing him back.

Apocalypse was a mess but in a good way. Nothing wrong with a bit of carnage backstage and in the ring every now and then.

In particular, I thought the tag team situation has handled in a good way. Now we have the chance for some actual story within the division rather than just having the champions face this cycle's new challengers.

The fake cash in was a nice touch too.
