Okay guys...listen up please, I have something important to say.
Okay so as you all know, the RP deadline is the 17th of February. The 14th is Valentine's Day which is why the RP deadline isn't due on the 14th. Now, I am sure that there HAS to be like 4 of us, maybe less or more, that think that having the deadline be bi-weekly is not necessary. It doesn't take a long time to write a single promo RP or a story RP. It's not really that hard, maybe it is for some...and if it is then it shouldn't take you more than a week. I wrote a 2932 word RP for another fed that I am in, more difficult than this fed, and it is weekly. I wrote it on paper, typed it up...was a lot so I typed it up, one weekend, and then read it on the computer for 3 days and edited it and formatted it. It took me like 5 days to post it, because I needed it to be perfect because I was 4 - 0 in the fed...my first ppv match...first time I'm getting a title shot! So if I lose this match, I lose 3 things (1st ppv match...1st title match...1st match that I lose)
I wasn't really stressed out because I started right away. It didn't take me that long. I would be in my bed, in the hospital visiting my grandfather, in my grandmother's house, wtvr I did...I had my notebook (actual paper) with me and I wrote the RP. I then typed it up...took me a long time...but I did it and I posted it with like 2 days to spare.
I seriously don't understand why the shows have to be bi-weekly. I know I am different than others, but it CAN'T be that hard! Now I am not saying I spoke to anybody, I am simply voicing my own opinion. Take it or wtvr.
Now I know that the RP-ers aren't only the people we need to discuss...also the creative people, the staff, everybody. When the RP's are posted within a week...instead of giving the creative people 2 or 3 days to write the show...give them like 5 days. 7 + 5 = 12 where as 7 +7 = 14 (RP deadline) + 3 or 4 = it comes about like 17 or 18 days...and it always takes longer than that. It's hard...no doubt...but if we do a weekly show every so often, then we try doing it every other show, then when we get used to it, we can have it all the time...but let's not talk about that.
I back Reaper up 100000 %...there is NO need for bi-weekly shows, no need at all.
This is how it should work:
The card should be posted Wednesday.
The RP deadline should be one week from that Wednesday.
The show should be up by Sunday night. That is genius...and if we work on that system...it WILL work!
So let's do what we did today:
Card was posted on Thursday.
RP Deadline: A week from today: The 7th.
The show should be up by Sunday Night or Monday night the latest (the 10th or 11th)
Then the card can be up on Weds or Thurs.
We should do it like that. If we don't have enough writers than we have this:
Creative Team:
1) The Enforcer - MOD
2) Sincade - MOD
3) Will - MOD
4) Iscariot
The head of all TECH stuff:
1) DJ
2) Gus (if he wants to)
MATCH WRITERS:
1) Will
2) Gus
3) Reaper (He did the Mayhem match)
4) Ricky (I think he did a match)
5) Iscariot (He did the 4 on 4)
PROMO/SEGMENTS STAFF:
1) Me...I can only do promos or segments.
2) Anyone else.
I think we can really make this work...please let's just give this show a chance!! And if we don't then let's do this plan...
So the RP's are due in 2 weeks, correct? If everyone can get their RP's in earlier (Hopefully within a week, you don't have to but try) then the creative/writers can start writing the matches earlier, getting the show put together earlier, getting the show, all together, posted earlier. It shouldn't be mandatory to get the RP's in within a week, u don't have to but if u can then do it. Just try to...to help the schedule move faster...and for the mods/creative/writers to speed up this process.
I personally love the 1st idea...if anyone doesnt get a particular part...ask me and I'll tell you. I have it completely thought out in my head.
BUT...I am not the only one in this fed...and I know that...but this process wouldn't affect anyone, because the guys have a lot of time to get the show together, and posted, and it gives everyone enough time to RP (1 week is more than enough!)
Just take it for the team...let's try doing it with this show. If we do this process then by February 12th the show should be posted.

Look, regarding the RPs.. Reaper, I understand that you want the show to be out quickly.. but I really want you to understand, if we speed everything up, then it becomes "work" more than "fun."
And you know what, outside of one or two arguments about the shows being behind, or slow, or delayed.. everyone loves W.Z.C.W. If we fast forwarded everything, we'd be ruining the product. The reason our shows come out good, is because we put detail into them.
Sincade in real life is a Police Officer, who can't dedicate his life to this. He's got a life outside of that too.. Enforcer has a Family, and a job. I have a Family. Everyone on creative has their own personal life.. and I'm sorry, I don't mean to offend or piss anyone off.. but the fact is.. we can't go weekly with this.
I understand the 17th is outrageous, I was pushing for it being the 10th.. but you know what, I'm not gonna fight the date.. because regardless of if the show is done tonight, or next month.. hopefully, its going to get the very best we have.
I've heard from several people already, who are asking the show NOT be bumped up to weekly, because they think it'd fall apart. I happen to agree, because I know "I" for one couldn't write my very best, if pushed to do it quicker.
So, Reaper, Leore.. its Enforcer and Sincade's call.. but if this falls apart majorly, because you both want to be (no offense meant).. impatient.. then don't complain later, when the whole fed crumbles do to it no longer being enjoyable and fun.. so much as "work" without pay.

oh yea, i'm back, just in case nobody noticed that i was gone...
Will, i think the point you make is clear. If this was going to go weekly, the workrate would increase but the quality would decrease.

While i would love for this to be more often (due to my semi regular internet access, i am on here about 5 times a day during the week and i dont have the net at home BUT due to impending redundancy at work this wont last) i dont know how regular my visits will be in 5 or 6 months time when i have a new job and everything has changed.
I think why wczw has become so popular is that we never know what is happening next and a Match of the Year candidate could always be the next match.
Yes a three week wait for a show to be posted is frustrating, and maybe we need more round these pages to get involved in (maybe these in character posts and replies could be done in the two locker room threads?) but the wait is always worth it.
Maybe this could be considered?:
An idea i have for the Roulette show would be if someone could post the layout of the match type wheel for us on the .Com page? Maybe just a list of what we could be up against. it would make a great thread for us to say what matches we would make if we were in creatives position.
Guys i know we have speculated about who we will (or could be) fueding with who in the future. And maybe it would be easier if we could be told what plans have been made for our characters. But in their position, creative do a lot for us and if they were to send anywhere from 15-20 pms to us individually, it would create a massive amount of extra work for them.
While it would be something i would welcome, i know that the 4 guys in creative at the moment work their behinds off coming up with ideas that we would enjoy as well as keeping us all in check! I guess what i am trying to say is that venting at creative wont help too much, we are part of something pretty cool here (its not like anything i have ever done before) and we should not want to see it deteriorate to near ruin by being (as Will said) impatient.

I think that it should at least say what type of matches are on the wheel, like hardcore, last man standing, steel cage, ladder, strange bedfellows (lol) etc.

Aright, I still think that we should at least TRY to have just 1 show be weekly, but correct me if I am wrong...didn't we already have a show that 1 a 1 week RP deadline, thing? How did that workout? Not bad. It was still a really good show. Everyone can pitch in, and instead of them 4 doing most of the work...the work can be evenly divided by most of us here.
But if it isn't goign to workout, then it isn't going to work out and I guess I'll have to wait 3 weeks for a single show. It's fine, I still want to try for 2 episodes to have weekly schedule, and if those 2 weeks weren't good then fine, we can continue with the 2 week deadline, I'm just saying. I think it would be good, and a few agreed and then when one person said no it wouldn't be a good idea, everyone else agrees with that person.
I'm not at all a bit worried, mad, pissed, or anything like that, I just feel that we should at least try it with THIS particular fed, to see if we can handle it or not. It's simple, but again, if it doesn't happen then it doesn't happen, no big deal.
I'm out for now guys...I'll be back saturday evening (like a little after 6 p.m. maybe a bit sooner)

i think the idea for a 1 a week could be good we could still do the big 2 week show of meltdown but on the one week we could have younger stars doing more pr's to get there writing strength up sort of a heat show for meltdown ofcourse if the bigger stars like the champs wanted to rp they could come to possibly just my 2 cents

we could add another show and just add a new team to posting it, say have enforcer or izzy or will in charge of the layout and hand the matches over to the writers, that way it would work just fine we would just need one mod in charge of it but again as alex said its just an idea nothing would be set in stone
