The Ascension delay is on my shoulders alone.
I don't want to go through all the details because it isn't my place to disclose them, but my brother and his wife are currently going through a separation. My brother was going to come stay here for a few days in an effort to let things cool down. While my parents and I were helping him move some things out of his house, he got into a huge argument with his wife, in front of their kids. Lots of name calling, lots of threats on both sides(one involving a pizza cutter as inappropriately funny as that is), my mom tried to step in to break them up and she ended up in the hospital the next day because my brother shoved her and she fell and suffered a hairline fracture in her elbow. Things are just super crazy the last few days and my mind has been nowhere near the fed.
So yeah, the delay is on me. I swear when things happen they happen all at once around here.
On the plus side, my girlfriend and I are looking at places to move in together so things aren't all horrible on my end, just a lot of serious issues taking place.

Sorry to hear that Yaz, I'm the type that really melts into the background when serious confrontations happen as it makes me really uncomfortable.

That sucks, I can see why you wanted to drink then. That just means you've taken a wrong turn in this point in your life and you were meant to do something else, career wise. You can't let that get you down, once you've absorbed the drinking and got that out of your system hit the hard reset. Brush the dirt off and set a different goal, something you like doing.
As for the divorce, that's a pain I've never had to experience but I'm not sure of your situation so I can't offer any advice for that except to try and move on.
