I was more than respectful to you, but if that's how you want to handle it, I'll be more than happy to oblige. You have an attitude about you that I, frankly, find so fucking annoying, that I don't even bother reading half of your posts. Good for you -- you were a big deal in another fed, get over yourself. If you want me to get to know you, then make a fucking effort to actually respect the other members of the fed whose characters you've been trampling on. You've been doing it for days, and even if it's just an "opinion," it's annoying. If not for the comedy characters in this fed, it would be a shadow of itself; show up with an open mind and don't gripe about character styles.

Stop making excuses -- like only losing to Saxoteur because of Saxton's retirement -- and own up to it. I didn't tell you anything but why I disagreed with you and that I think you should be more open-minded. The point still stands.

EDIT: And let me just point out, I probably won't be responding to this argument much longer. I don't want to be the guy that derails the discussion thread (even though I already have), because I know how irritating that is. I'll gladly respond to PMs, though.
 
Honestly; I think the comedy characters (Saboteur's at the top) do this place justice. After all, we're a fucking E-Fed, so why can't we have these characters around? Krypto, SHIT & SaboSax are all legit & hilarious additions to the fed. I'm gutted we'll be seeing Doc leave after KC in all honesty.

We've got Alhazred as well, who writes some madly brilliant RP's. Even Ricky Runn has managed to turn himself into a comedy character that's brilliant. They really do make the place more interesting.
 
Basically put, the mindset of this fed is that if you have a character that is able to write excellent story and put out amazing RP's, you'll do well, regardless of character gimmick. Ty Burna, a character based around the supernatural (something that doesn't exist in this world), held the World title for a year because he was that good. Alex Bowen, a character was and still is real (implementing elements of his own life), held the Mayhem title for nearly as long. Both reigns impressive because of the story-telling both men were able to produce.

So yeah - as long as you write good stories consistently, you'll be reaping the rewards.
 
I do like that we're discussing this. I really like it, in fact. In another fed I'm in, most characters are fairly grounded in reality, but they do have quite a few gimmicky characters, like an alien that looks like a human female, a full Juggalo heel gimmick, etc. Hell, I use Erin Toyota in it, so...

I find it interesting to see peoples' opinions. Personally, I think a well-written gimmicky character (I hate using "comedy" because it really undersells the gimmicks thanks to the connotations) are just as good and hard to do as a well-written "realistic" character. In fact, I'm betting realistic characters are far harder to write in many ways because jesus christ one wrong move and you've landed smack-dab in the boring-as-shit territory.

Did you ever think if I was even half the things you're claiming I am I would have bothered to join?

Even if I wrote a ten times better RP then Saxton and I'm talking an RP worthy enough to be in the main event at KC... I would have lost if that was indeed Saxton's last match in the fed. I wouldnt have been bitter about it, I would have used it in my next RP. Do I think my RP was a guaranteed win last round? Absolutely not. Nor will I ever claim it was. I thought me and Thriller had a good shot. Obviously it wasn't good enough because we lost. Frustrating? Yeah, we're trying to get TSA a win to make it look better.

You might be misreading a lot of what I have been saying, because I don't believe, aside from this point in time, that I have ever bothered anyone. Nightmare disappointed me a couple days ago. I've since been trying to help him outline his RPs and downsize his development RP by RP.

Let me make it very very very clear. I like everyone here, I really do. I read a lot of RPs and I admit I should leave more feedback for people. I chime in once in a while and I keep my cool. This place is fun for me. I respect everyone here: that means I don't try or seek to start drama with people or lead them on. Whether I like their character is irrelevant.

I hate Kanye West as a person but I like his music. Same point, different example.

Like I said earlier, I don't want this to drag on -- but just as an aside: if you out-RP anybody around here, you'll win (unless you explicitly agree to lose the match).

Anyway, maybe I am misreading you and I have nothing against you -- this place is fun for me too -- but I felt compelled to speak up in defense of probably what I enjoy most about this fed. It is what it is.
 
On a less dramatic note...can someone tell me where the Supershow was held? Don't feel like searching through the thread trying to find it and it relates to my RP.

Consider it squashed. I got upset only about tripping on my own ego (so to speak).

Otherwise, I do agree with Doctor, it is an interesting conversation. Maybe my opinion is more based towards the imagery. In a Mikey Stormrage vs S.H.I.T. match, to me Mikey (and this is all based on the realism of the match) should destroy him. I know the ins and outs of why people win in a fed. Best RP wins, someone mentioned that, totally 100% agree. It's up to Yaz to step up to the plate. If he doesn't, and DC faces him the show after, that would be one of, if not the first thing DC brings up.

If DC were to face S.H.I.T., I would be dead set on posting an RP that would be so good there wouldn't be a way for DC to lose. No ego included, I'd just make damn sure I produced something to win that match. If I lost, I'd make sure in my follow up to address it before someone used it against me. So on and so forth.
 
My RP is coming along quite nicely - I've had to act out everything myself before putting pen to paper (or in this case, fingers to keyboards) and now my neighbours think I'm crazy for talking to myself in a female's voice. I'm like, "dude, I'm just acting" and they're all like "get out of my house and put some pants on before I call the cops!"

I went to Bruges got drunk on wine as strong as beer and soaked in the fact that everything had outdoor seats and ashtrays, it really is a fairytale city.

In unrelated news I was also looking at wedding venues with the missus. Think we have a place decided on but now is the fun part of finding a date.

Also I need to lose 100lbs before the wedding. Diet and exercise starts Monday - should be fun :/

If I lost 100 pounds, then I'd weigh 100 pounds. I do want to lose about 35 though.

I weigh about 10lbs more than Cena's billed weight and I'm about 2 inches taller.

I, however am not built like John Cena, I'm like a miniature butterbean, but with hair
