WWE SMACKDOWN TAING RESULTS - SPOILERS
06/27/2007 by Steve Carrier

Credit: Ed in San Antonio and F4Wonline.com

Dark Match:
-Chuck Palumbo beat Kenny Doane. Decent heat, and the crowd got into it at the end.

-Cole and JBL were booed.

Smackdown:

-Ric Flair and Carlito are having a match and getting a lot of time. Flair won with the figure four in a good match. Flair was on fire.

-Edge vs. Big Dave will be the main event.

-Matt Hardy vs. Lance Cade. Matt won with the twist of fate in a good match.

-Chavo Guerrero vs. Jamie Noble vs. Funaki. Chavo is getting cheered loudly. He won with the Gori bomb in a good match.

-They actually did an angle backstage with Vickie Guerrero. Something about how Dave vs. Edge was going to take place even though they were never supposed to wrestle again, but it wouldn't be a title match.

-Deuce and Domino beat Cryme Tyme. Not horrible. Cryme Tyme stole the car afterwards and are going to strip it at the Briscoe Brothers' auto shop.

-MVP cut a promo on Tony Parker of the Spurs.

-Kane beat MVP with the chokeslam. All matches are getting time.

-They did a skit with Great Khali and Eugene. Then they did another one that involved Vickie, I believe Mickie, Hacksaw Jim Duggan and the fat oily guy. Basically a way to get Ron Simmons there to go, "DAMN!"

-Mickey beat Victoria after missing a moonsault. Not bad.

-Eugene vs. Great Khali. Khali won in a minute.

-Batista beat Edge clean with the spear in a long match. Good stuff.

-Almost all Benoit signs have been confiscated since the show began.

I LOVE the Cryme Tyme angle where they stole the car and said they're going to strip it at the Briscoe's shop, classic! I just hope Pat Patterson doesn't fill in for Cherry :icon_sad:

Not surprised they confiscated all the Benoit signs, it's the right thing to do.

As for Big Dave beating Edge, I'll reserve my judgment until I see the match.

It sounds like an ok SD..But it will be weird watching WWE for a while due to what happened. I hope this never happens again. I am sure by next week things should be back to normal, it just annoying that the roster split will go back..We had some inter brand matches so far...Would like it to continue.

Nice to see Kane in action, a win is a win for kane.

Not sure how their going to play the Chavo angle, the guys a heel, and according to this he gets cheered loudly, so I think the arrogant prick Chavo plays on screen will step aside for this one week so that the real Chavo can be seen.

Also Mickie vs Victoria, for Vicky to even attempt the moonsault tells me that she still has enough left in her to perform to the caliber that she was a few years ago, despite the potential injury. Maybe it was a mistake for WWE to move her after all.

Sounds like a decent Smackdown!. but still need to see why they would have Big Dave beat Edge cleanly. But from what i read looks like mtahces more than talksing so thats good.

i agree, seems to be a decent Smackdown, except for ....Batista...again??? :(
im getting tired of this feud more than i was with Taker vs Batista, due the fact of Edge being a pussy champ, i hate that! I know he is "The Ultimate oportunist" and is supossed to win cheating, but he is the freaking champ!
I only hope Mysterio returns soon and then, we could see a real wrestling match between them.
The rest of the matches looks OK, i like the inter brand matches (this show should be called: SmackRaw IMO) and i CANT wait for the Cryme time stealin' angle!!
MVP cutting a promo on Tony Parker?? this only could mean one thing: Vince Celebrity Fetishism is Back!! I would love to see Tony Parker making some funny shit promo on MVP, maybe a bitch bet! LOL! :D

For ECW on Tuesday July 3, 2007

Thanks to Scott for calling in these live results to us tonight. We appreciate it Scott.

Johnny Nitro vs. Tommy Dreamer in a 'Pick Your Poison' match is up first. Nitro will pick Punk's opponent later tonight and Punk picked Dreamer as Nitro's opponent. Nitro defeated Dreamer via pinfall after a swinging neckbreaker.

Next up is CM Punk vs. Kevin Thorn. Punk pins Thorn after a the vice submission finisher. Punk won with the Oklahoma Roll. After the match, Nitro came out and teased that he was going to get in the ring but did not.

That's all for ECW.

For Smackdown Friday July 6,2007

Thanks to Scott for calling in these live results to us tonight. We appreciate it Scott.

MVP will be first out. It's MVP vs. Matt Hardy to open the show. Hardy won with a twist of fate.

They announced Ric Flair vs. Fit Finlay for later on tonight.

Edge tells Teddy Long backstage that he will do a Cutting Edge segment and will have the biggest guest in the history of the show later tonight.

Chris Masters vs. Jimmy Yang. Masters wins with the Master Lock. After the match, The Great Kahli comes down and chokeslams Jimmy Yang and issues an open challenge for the Great American Bash PPV.

Torrie Wilson was backstage doing a photo shoot and was met by Victoria. The two started brawling and were broken up by WWE officials.

The Major Brothers vs. PCW (Dallas indy promotion) regulars 'Main Event' Mike Fox and Jeremy Young. The Major Brothers got the win in a quick squash match.

Ric Flair vs. Fit Finlay. Decent match that went a fair amount of time. Finlay at one point had Flair in the figure four leglock but Flair was able to reverse it. Finlay scored the pin after interference from Little Bastard.

Kenny Dykstra vs. Chuck Palumbo. Palumbo came out on a Harley motorcycle. Palumbo won the match.

Eugene vs. Deuce w/ Cherry is up next. This match never happened as The Great Khali came out and chokeslamed Eugene. Batista came out and made the save and basically accepted Khali's open challenge for the GAB PPV. Khali excited the ring while Batista was ready for a fight.

The Cutting Edge is next to end the show. The guest is Kane. Edge basically comes out and talks smack. Kane comes out, tells Edge he doesn't like him. Teddy Long comes out to end the show and announces Kane vs. Edge at the great American Bash.

SO at the GAB

World Heavyweight Championship
Edge vs Kane

Open Challenge Match
The Great Khali vs Batista

was a non title....

So we have Edge vs Kane...predictable at some point, but come on... KHALI vs BATISTA???!! Oh my GOD....thats has to be the biggest train wreck in the history!!! i cant wait to post more on the SD thread, but i dont know who to cheer on this.... i guess Kahli is going to win, and maybe this time he will be able to compete in a Punjabi prison match, imagine the possibilities!!! :lmao:

I smell a hardy getting on MVP, and maybe winning the championship, who knows....i guess all depends on Mysterio,if he returns on time for the GAB. he will be the US contender...

With MVP losing cleanly two weeks in a row to Kane and Matt Hardy, I will guess that at GAB there will be some kind of battle royal/turmoil match. If this is the case then I can see 4 different outcomes:

1 - MVP retains his US title, outlasting every competitor.
2 - Matt Hardy wins the US title as he is recieving a major push.
3 - Santino Marella somehow wins and gets drafted to Smackdown.
4 - Rey Mysterio returns as a shock and wins.

For Smackdown Friday July 13, 2007

Dark Match:

Funaki & Shannon Moore vs. Paul Burchill & Dave Daylor. Funaki and Moore got the pin in a good, short match.

Edge comes on-screen to open SD!. The crowd couldn't hear what exactly he was saying but it was quick. It was a backstage segment deal.

The SmackDown! intro w/ pyro airs.

MVP comes to the ring and joins JBL and Cole. Lots of boo's for him. Matt Hardy is out next to face Chris Masters. Hardy won the match with a twist of fate. After the match. MVP distracted Matt and Masters applied the Master Lock. As Hardy tried to break it, MVP jumped in the ring and beat him down. Masters and MVP leave after MVP hits his finishing move on Matt. Matt Hardy vs. MVP at the Great American Bash.

Finlay vs. Jimmy Wang Yang is next Finlay wins the match and afterwards Little Bastard runs in. Finlay throws Bastard over Jimmy Yang and the two leave.

A Kane video package for the Great American Bash is shown.

A Major Brothers video package airs noting that they've been on a role since coming to SmackDown!.

Chavo Guerrero and Jamie Knoble vs. The Major Brothers is next. Chavo got good pop while The Major Brothers didn't receive much of anything. Major Brothers win with a missile dropkick on Chavo.

Vickie Guereero is backstage with The Great Khali's translator. Khali's translator backs him up and she is cornered into a locker-room.

Back from commercial as they are setting up for a contract signing, Khali beats up a random guy (indy wrestler) over a disagreement on the chairs that will be setup for the signing. He says he needs a bigger chair etc etc etc. Blah.

A Rey Mysterio return video package is shown. Big pop.

Edge cuts a backstage promo and turns around to face the TV and Kane's face appears. When he turns around a second time, Kane's face is gone from the screen.

Terry Long comes out for the contract signing and brings out Batista to a huge pop. Khali comes out next. Batista signs quick which is followed by Khali's translator going on a rant about how when Khali issues and open challenge he doesn't expect an 'Animal' to accept. Khali speaks some jibberish before being slapped by Batista. Khali tries to attack but the translator holds him back. Khali on the outside of the ring throws the ring steps inside. Batista throws them back outside before taking a table and tossing that too.

A Local Jobber vs. Chuck Palumbo is up next. The jobber gets in one kick and is totally dominated. Palumbo did his motorcycle gimmick and surprisingly got a big pop.

A Jesse & Festus promo airs - coming soon.

Edge is shown brushing his teeth backstage. When he looks in the mirror, Kane is there. When he looks again, Kane is gone.

Cherry, Deuce, & Domino are backstage. Eugene comes up and says he wants to ride in their car. They tell him that he can have one as long as he defeats Domino's opponent tonight without naming him. It's Eugene vs. Mark Henry. Eugene still has the green paint on his boots. Henry wins with a no hug. They all taunted Eugene and left.

Backstage segment with Torrie Wilson and Victoria. Victoria she's says the most dominate diva on SmackDown!. It's Torrie vs. Victoria in a few.

Teddy Long, Krystal, and Vickie Guerrero are backstage. Vickie is made the 'made of honor' for the wedding.

Torrie defeated Victoria by count out. Outside the ring as the two fight, Torrie snakes in before a 10 count.

Edge throws a Mardi Graas parage. He brings out ltos of cartoon characters like you'd see in a New Orleans parade. They throw out beads, etc etc etc. Edge spots a King & Queen and brings them into the ring. Edge spears the Queen. The King winds up being Kane and he tears the place apart. Kane's pyro hits and the show ends.

Sylvan defeated a local guy in a dark match. Maryse was at ring supporting Sylvan.

Edge relinquished the title and showed a tribute video of himself.

Victoria defeated Torrie Wilson with the Widow's Peak.

The Great Khali won the 20 man battle royal when he eliminated both Batista and Kane at the same time.

Then the dark main event was The Great Khali vs. Batista vs. Kane for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Khali got himself disqualified when he used a steel chair on Kane. Afterwards, Kane and Batista took out Khali.

Kane beat Dave Taylor with the Choke Slam.

The Great Khali has a celebration filled with horrible indian dancers (2 of which were white, haha). Loud fireworks, Batista interrupts celebration and challenges Khali to a one on one match and takes down Khali. I would of popped for this if Khali came out in a camel or elephant.

That means No Mysterio on TV yet, but you just missed one thing AJ..

Dark match.... **SPOILER AHEAD**

Batista and Rey Mysterio vs Finlay and MVP: Mysterio swanton Finlay for the win (at least thats what i read on WZ...)

I wonder what's the plan with rey: a mini-feud with Chavo or going straight to the main event.... either way, they should do it ASAP, because if they wait until summerslam, Triple H return would vanish all Mysterio return hype.
Make it Mysterio vs Mvp vs Matt hardy vs Falir in a TLC at Summerslam!! they have plenty of time to build it, so why not?

For Smackdown Friday 8/3/2007

SmackDown! Opener:

- Teddy Long and Kristal announce the wedding will take place on September 21st on SmackDown. Long sweet talks his lady and starts locking lips when Khali interrupts. Hardy opens up attacking the hand/arm of MVP. Continuous armbars by Hardy. MVP gains the upper hand with a stun gun over the top rope on Matt.

MVP with a modified full Nelson resthold, which Matt reverses with punches. Matt misses an elbow and MVP hits a yakuza kick to send hardy outside. Matt goes for the twist of fate, but MVP ducks out and leaves the ring, title in hand.

No rey this week...
Ok, so i see mysterio returning at SS as well?? it'll suck, all the show will be about Triple h, so Bravo WWE, another very smart move....

It sounds like a decent SD though, but i smell a Evolution reunion tour.....??

BTW, ****SPOILER***** if you didn read very well above.......stop here.
Khali vs Batista for the WHC at SS: That was predictable and obviously, the result is a much predictable as this match. Horse Shit at its best..

For Smackdown August 10, 2007

On to Smackdown, Batista beat Domino in the first match. I was about 8 feet from where they come out and that Batista pyro is the loudest thing you will ever hear.

Mark Henry won a squash and a druid appeared after the match, signaling the return of the Undertaker is upon us.

Torrie Wilson vs Victoria (I forget the ending but Kenny Dykstra and Jimmy Wang Yang interfered, Michelle McCool returned as well).

We then thought we were being treated to the returning Rey Mysterio, but it ended up being Chavo Guerrero dressed as him. Chavo cut a promo as Rey, until eventually defeating Eugene.

MVP cut a promo from WWE head quarters as he was not in Youngstown.

Matt Hardy beat Finlay by count out after interference from Hornswoggle and Jamie Noble.

Kane beat the crap out of Finlay backstage.

Kane beat the returning Sylvan. After the match. Finlay destroyed Kane with the shlaylee (sp?)

Chris Masters did an open Masterlock Challenge. One big hometown dude accepted but after he told Masters that he was fresh out of prison, Masters picked someone smaller and destroyed him.

Main event: Great Khali beat Ric Flair (Batista also got beat down for his troubles)

Another predictable SD, but i guess it's ok, because nobody wants to get injured doing something odd before summerslam!!
So, we have the first sign of Taker's return... a little early for me. even if he's not wrestling, i still believe it's kind of fresh, but hey, with the lack of talent on SD, Welcome Taker!

Saturday Night's Main Event:

SNME opens with Vince backstage with Coach. Coach says with all the info he was given he will match up the dates and locations of Vince's trysts to the Superstars. Vince says he forgot about one with a black woman in Kansas City in the 70's. Coachman says he's adopted and from Kansas City. Vince stares at him and says it's going to be a long night.

It's announced that MVP has pulled out of his boxing match. It's Matt Hardy vs. Evander Holyfield.

Batista and Kane vs. Finlay and Great Khali. The announcers are JBL, Michael Cole and Jim Ross. Kane's ribs are taped Batista hits the Batista bomb on Finlay for pin.

Cena vs. Carlito later, billed as the Big Apple Showdown.

Backstage, MVP says the doctor won't let him box so he got the next best thing. Evander Holyfield asks him how his ticker is. MVP says he was scared for a minute but he's better than anyone else so he's already bounced back. He pals around with Holyfield.

John Cena vs. Carlito. The crowd chanted "Let's go Mets/Let's go Yankees". Cena wins via submission with the STFU. Randy Orton attacked him immediately and threw him outside, then into the stairs. Crowd chanted "Randy." Orton got a chair from under the ring. He hit an RKO on the floor into the chair on Cena. Cena sold it like he was dead. Crowd chanted for Orton while women chanted "sucks" in response. Match was whatever. Angle was very good. They showed a young boy looking sad over Cena but once he realized the camera was on him, he started mugging for it. Cena took a long time leaving, holding his jaw.

Michael Buffer comes out for the boxing match. Divas are the ring girls.

Backstage, Todd Grisham asks Orton what he was doing. Orton said he sent a loud and clear message to Cena as to what he's going to get at Summerslam. He promises to win the title.

Hardy has 2 cornermen with him. MVP comes out with an entourage. Evander has his own Titantron video. MVP makes Buffer introduce him first, right down to "straight up ballin'" The crowd did the "What" chant during the referee's instructions!

Hardy is wearing a boxing helmet.. Holyield isn't. MVP keeps getting on the apron to give him instructions. Holyfield knocks Hardy down in round one. End of round

MVP argues with Holyfield's trainer between rounds. Round two starts and Hardy acting half out of it. Holyfield tells the ref to check him. MVP gets in the ring and tells him to keep beating up Hardy. Holyfield turns his back and MVP grabs him. Holyfield knocks out MVP. The ref rings the bell. Holyfield left immediately. Hardy left. MVP was left on the mat being checked on by his entourage. No announced decision.

CM Punk & Boogeyman vs. John Morrison & Big Daddy V next. Tazz joined the announcers for the match. Punk got a big reaction. Good when Punk and Morrison were in. Punk surprised Morrison with a small package for another clean win.

Vince McMahon comes to the ring with Jonathan Coachman. Coach gives a long monologue about Vince who cuts him off and tells him to get on with it. Coachman says he's going to help Vince with the child. He says Vince once had a tryst in Kentucky so he is certain this could be his child...and out comes Eugene.

Eugene says that he became a wrestling fan because his Mom told him she met Vince. He says his Uncle Eric told him he nailed his Mom and that's why he tried to put Vince out of business. He tells Vince, "I love you Dad". Vince said he used protection and tells Eugene to get out of the ring.

Coachman then tells of a story of Vince in a Port Authority bathroom so his son could be...Balls Mahoney. Vince says Balls is not his son. Mahoney tells him to think about it and to embrace it. He says Vince has balls. Vince says "I have no balls". The crowd chants "Vince has no balls". He yells at Balls to leave.

Coachman tells Vince of the Wrestlemania 2 afterparty in LA and that this person could be his daughter. Out comes Melina. Vince says that Melina isn't her daughter and cannot be. Coachman asks why not and Vince whispers something. Coach says that's disgusting. Vince tells Melina that the meeting that they had on July 4th was totally harmless. She says that Vince better hope so because if she's his daughter, she will take him for everything she owns. She walks out.

Vince demands to know who his child is. Long dramatic pause. Glass breaks and out comes Steve Austin.

Austin says Vince could be his dad and Vince says there's no chance in hell. Austin says they missed out on so many good things in life...playing catch, water skiing, building a go-cart, the birds and the bees, drinking beer. Crowd is going "what, what, what".

Austin says it would be easy to stun Vince but the big problem is Vince's "overactive grapefruits" so he wants to help him out. He kicks Vince low and low blows him. Austin stuns Coachman and has a beer bash.

After they go off the air, Austin asks the crowd if they want to see him drink a beer with Vince. He says it is his first time in the Garden in years. Vince takes it and Austin hits the stunner. Austin does a long celebration. He gives Jim Ross a beer and takes his cowboy hat.

Vince and Coach get up. Austin says the only way he's not going to kick their ass is if they sing. Vince asks Coach if he can sing harmony. They badly sing "I Left My Heart in San Francisco". Austin knocked their heads together. He helps Coach up then hits another stunner.

Sweet, Stone Cold on SNME. Too damn there was no advertising for Austin's appearance on SNME to help boost up the ratings. It just really sucks I have to work Saturday instead of watching SNME. Sounds somewhat better than the previous one.

Damn I wish i wouldn't have read these. I would have been stunned to see Stone Cold. Looks like an OK show with quite a few shit matches. All the tag matches are probaly going to be a snooze...Batista/Kane :lmao:Big Daddy V/Nitro...:lmao: LOL!. Too many Backstage segments and typical WWE creative having Cena defeat Carlito. *yawn* glad he got his ass booed out of the building. Looks like an ok show. I'll check it out to see Austin.

ya not that great of a SNME, but hey WWE just does this becuase they have to why would we expect anything else. The only segment i really seem to like is that part where Orton RKO's Cena and Cena actually sells it. Other than that not much else i like to see besides Austin

Smackdown:

*WWE United States champion MVP comes out and says that he won;t be cleared to box this Saturday on Main Event, but he wants to talk to Matt Hardy. *Backstage, Vince McMahon and Jonathan Coachman arrive, seeking Vince's illegitimate child.

*WWE Tag Team champions Deuce and Domino defeat The Major Brothers.

Backstage, Vince McMahon and Jonathan Coachman meet with Teddy Long and Kristal Marshall. The Great Khali bursts in protesting that he has a match with Kane later. Coachman reminds Vince of "that time in India" and Vince wonders if Khali could be his son.

*Finlay vs. Jamie Noble is a no contest when Kane hits the ring.

*Chavo Guerrero pinned Shannon Moore.

*Batista comes out and discusses what The Great Khali did to Ric Flair last week. Khali appears on the Titantron. Batista promises to take the World title at Summerslam.

*Vince McMahon and Jonathan Coachman are discussing that anyone could be Vince's son and that it could be The Great Khali or Batista. Big Dick Johnson shows up dressed like a baby and starts dancing.

*Mark Henry defeated unidentified wrestler (It was East Coast indy wrestler Plazma, who worked for Jersey All Pro, among other groups). After the match, Henry takes the mic and says he's not scared of the Undertaker. The lights go out and Undertaker's gong strikes as his music plays. The lights go on and Henry goes to the back but mysteriously there is sand everywhere as he walks to the back.

*Backstage, Kristal Marshall asks Torrie Wilson and Michelle McCool to be her bridesmaids in her wedding to Teddy Long. Victoria walks by with Kenny Dykstra and agrees to be one as well. Kristal says she's picked her bridesmaids. Victoria slaps McCool. McCool slaps Kenny then fights with Victoria. Teddy Long sets up a match between the two.

*Victoria defeated Michelle McCool after Kenny Dykstra interfered.

*WWE World champion The Great Khali defeated Kane. Finlay interfered. Batista makes the save but gets caught by Khali's claw.

*WWE re-taped the women's bout, this time with Michelle McCool defeating Victoria.

Show over.

SD! looks pretty bad again this week. At least D&D are facing actual tag competition instead of jobbing to Boretista. Wow Henry once again facing another nobody. I suppose Taker is really returning at Unforgiven now. Once again Vince has to have the spotlight on himself and his storylines. This could get boring quick. The backstage segments don't seem to be to funny. Yeah like Khali is really going to be his son:rolleyes:. Khali vs Kane im sure will be tough to watch much like this whole feud between the two. Finlay interfearing hopefully means somehow Kane and Finlay get involved and maybe even into the match at SS. Doubtful I know. Sounds pretty bad I'll watch though anyway.

Anyone know when the hell this wedding is?
