The wedding is to happen September like the second or third week on smackdown. But ya since Edge went down and Taker and with no Rey and well thanks to the draft Smackdown is just god awful and thats a shame. I just hope that things could change but this Smackdown is awful and i wont be watching it.

I haven't seen SmackDown! in over a month since the week prior to Khali's title win. However, I did read a dark match was D'lo Brown vs a jobber.

I was a big fan of D'lo Brown and seeing he was backstage at Raw and had a match prior to SD!, I wonder if the WWE will be interested in bringing him back.

SmackDOWN! Results

This show will air Friday, August 24, 2007.

JBL and Michael Cole make their way to the ring, the opening video is shown and everyone gets a little deafer from the pyrotechnics. Vince McMahon and Jonathan Coachman are out first, still trying to figure out whom Vince’s bastard son is. Kane’s pyro goes off and damn near gives me a heart attack " he’s on his way to the ring to tell Vince he thinks he’s his son and to also demand a match with Finlay. Finlay and Batista is our main event for the evening, so McMahon adds Kane vs. Finlay to the SummerSlam card.

Chris Masters then arrives on the scene and now he thinks he’s Vince’s kid, showing Vince a photograph of the two of them together when Masters was 15. Vince made the comment that Chris had a scrawny neck back then, which prompted someone near me to yell, “BECAUSE HE WASN’T ON STEROIDS THEN!” So now Masters wants to get Kane in the Master Lock Challenge to prove he’s Vince’s spawn, but Kane eventually chokeslams Masters and bails. Finally, Chuck Palumbo appears at ringside on his bike and Vince decides to make a match.

MATCH #1: Chris Masters vs. Chuck Palumbo

Personally, I think the “Masterpiece” gimmick is about as dead in the water as could be, and Palumbo’s biker get-up isn’t doing anything for me either. He’s looks like the “American Badass” version of Undertaker, only not nearly as warmly received by the crowd. He got little to no pop, even when he defeated Masters with some kind of crucifix powerbomb variant.

MATCH #2: Funaki vs. Chavo Guererro

Funaki is one of those guys who’s had a spot in WWE for what seems like forever, and even though some people would have a problem with becoming known as an “enhancement talent” the truth of the matter is that workers like him are a go-to resource that are to be commended.

Not much to say about this match, though. Chavo comes to the ring with a mannequin head that has a Rey Mysterio mask on it, then does his best Al Snow impression. Chavo would be disqualified after failing to obey the ref’s orders, and he then put the Mysterio mask onto Funaki and tried to take out his knee just as he did Mysterio’s oh so many months ago.

Mysterio did not make an appearance, much to the chagrin of a couple hundred little kids. I guess when WWE says he and Triple H are returning at SummerSlam, they mean then and never before.

MATCH #3: Jamie Noble vs. Jimmy Wang Yang

I’d like to see these two have a match that went 20 minutes or more; they’re both more than capable of having fantastic matches, it’s just that more often than not they’re relegated to 5 minute bouts like this. It was good for what it was worth, though, and Noble went over but seemed to be more concerned with whether or not Hornswoggle was under the ring.

MATCH #4 " WWE Tag Team Championship: Deuce & Domino w/ Cherry (c) vs. Shannon Moore & Eugene

I keep trying to tell people that Shannon Moore is a good wrestler. Very few of them believe me, and I think it’s primarily due to stuff like this. Eugene got one of the bigger pops of the night, even though I was under the impression audiences had begun to turn on him a bit as of late. No real question what happened here; Deuce & Domino retain.

1-ON-1 BASKETBALL CHALLENGE: MVP vs. Matt Hardy

Yes, you read that right…

Before this took place, there was a backstage segment (not much backstage stuff tonight, by the way, and Vickie Guererro was nowhere to be found) where MVP put himself over to Teddy Long saying he could beat all the current SD! brand champions. Teddy then one-upped him by saying he guessed MVP thinks he could take the tag team championships by himself, but MVP backpedals then says he’ll tag with the next person to walk in Teddy’s office to take on Deuce & Domino. In walks Matt Hardy, and Teddy makes the match for next week on SD! " MVP & Matt Hardy vs. Deuce & Domino.

To start the basketball challenge, MVP again put himself over with how great he is at basketball, saying he’s friends with Shaq and D-Wade of the Miami Heat, only to miss an easy layup. Matt Hardy makes his entrance and starts the challenge by throwing the ball directly into MVP’s face. While he’s recovering Deuce and Domino attack and beat down the pair of them, the idea being to create some sort of chemistry between Hardy & MVP working as a team.

At this point, I have to take a moment to admire WWE’s production. The crew set up and then tore down MVP’s entrance tunnel thingie in 45 seconds, possibly less. Granted, it’s an inflatable piece, but still " to raise something its size and then have it be totally gone that quickly is impressive.

MATCH #5: Brad Allen vs. Mark Henry

Brad Allen is better known to some of us familiar with the Carolinas independent wrestling scene as Brad Attitude, who regularly works for Carolina Wrestling Association (http://www.CWAWrestlingOnline.com). When I saw him, I knew he was in for a squash, but little did I know that he’d be getting fed to Mark Henry. Attitude was announced as being a Columbia native and I don’t think he got in any offense at all, but such is the nature of the squash.

After the match, Henry talks about how he’s not scared of druids or other spooky stuff like that, then the lights go out and the bell tolls. A new Undertaker promo video airs on the Titan screens while Henry stands in the middle of the ring washed in purple light. The video was an amalgam of different horror film-esque splash scenes and it ended with several druids out in a desert digging up a box which is revealed to contain several coral snakes and a large, metallic “Undertaker” symbol. The people around me went nuts at the sight of this thing, thinking Taker might actually appear, but of course he didn’t. Henry eventually left the ring and that was that.

DIVAS BIKINI CONTEST: Michelle McCool vs. Victoria vs. Torrie Wilson vs. Kristal

Michelle McCool (who came to the ring wearing a Ryan Succop USC Gamecocks football jersey) looks awesomely hot, as does Torrie and Victoria. Never have been too big on Kristal, but hey " different strokes for different folks, right?

Michael Cole hosts this contest with the winner, of course, being decided upon by crowd reaction. All four of the ladies show their stuff and then Cole does the unthinkable…

He brings down Mae Young.

Mae Young is 84 years old " she should be in a comfortable chair somewhere enjoying her grandchildren’s company, not threatening to take her clothes off on national television! Grandma boobies are not a boob variety for which I think I’ll ever be able to develop a taste. Cole declared her the winner, even though I think the crowd got louder for her because we were all retching like we’d just come down with a sudden and horrible case of food poisoning.

MATCH #6: Batista vs. Finlay

Batista’s pyro is pure torture, especially when you’re sitting as close to those cannons as I was. The other negative thing about it is that it creates a lot of fumes " so many that there was a cloud of smoke that slowly made its way up to the rafters, pretty much ruining visibility for people in the cheap seats and making it really difficult for people like myself who were trying to get some decent pictures of the matches.

I had hopes that when it was announced Finlay would be his opponent that Batista would be forced to step up his workrate a bit. No such luck, though, as Batista continues to have some of the lightest matches imaginable. I can definitely see why WWE’s booking strategy as of late has become to protect their talent as much as possible, but good Lord if it hasn’t made for some lack-luster television.

A few minutes in, The Great Khali and his handler made their way to ringside but didn’t get involved in the match until several minutes later when Khali went after Batista only to have Batista fight him off. I kept thinking to myself, “Okay, Batista’s going to be the face in peril and Ric Flair’s going to run in for the save!”, because Flair hadn’t been involved in the show up until that point. As it would turn out, Flair wasn’t involved in the show at all " not a match, not a promo, nothing, even though he was on the local NBC affiliate the past two days hyping this show.

Batista commenced to beating down Finlay and Khali, and appeared to have drawn blood from the scalp of Khali. Referees went to separate "The Animal" from his prey, but I totally marked out for Irwin R. Scheister and Dean Malenko who were also trying to get in on the fun.

That was the end of SmackDOWN!. Once Batista, Finlay, and Khali were off an announcement was made that our main event of the evening would be a World title match with Batista taking on Khali. More than likely this was a run-through for their match this weekend at SummerSlam, but I can’t tell you for sure how it went because I left after the Elijah Burke vs. Balls Mahoney match during the ECW broadcast. I’d seen enough, needless to say. A fairly uneventful taping and not one that would have at all made me want to pay $40 for the pay-per-view this Sunday.

soundy like a good smackdown with 2 cruiserweight matches which is a suprise and another Batista vs. Finlay match which I don't mind. Too bad though as it looks like the Finlay\ Kane match at Summerslam may replace the planned MVP\ Hardy rematch that has been built up so much but WWE likes to make matches last minute sometimes anyway so it could still happen...Can't wait for Taker's return too next month even if it's against someone so immobile like Mark Henry, but Smackdown needs him and Rey back badly as the show can't last with Khali\ Kane\ Batista\ and Flair main event matches forever

Well with MVP heart things i guess they figure they hold off on an actual match so looks like that ladder match there bulidinh up for will take place at Unforgiven

This is strange this is the 2nd only PPV they MVP will miss since he joined WWE.

Sucks to not get that MVP ladder match I wanted so bad. At least it can be saved for Unforgiven. Kane/Finlay I expected to be put on there anyway. I really couldn't care less about that match. We get to see cruiserweights,Palumbo and best of all a bikini contest!!!. The main events on SD! I usually don't pay attention to anyways. I just change the channel with about 10 minutes left in the show. Also once again another Mark Henry squash shouldn't he be beating worthy opponets by now? O Well. Doesn't look like to great a show but I'll watch for MVP,Hardy and the Bikini contest:D

WrestleZone is currently providing live coverage from SD!

Here is something I found interesting [in a good way]:

http://www.wrestlezone.com/article.php?articleid=190352290

Matt Hardy & MVP vs. Deuce and Domino

Matt Hardy was in the match the whole time and got dominated. MVP got the tag and through Hardy out of the ring and MVP got the win. So we have new tag-team champions. After the match MVP was in the ring celebrating with both titles while Matt looks on from the outside.

I must admit I am impressed with this move. I love the idea these two will be forced to team together as a tag team, but at the same time both are feuding w/each other for the tag titles. This brings my interest high on the entire Hardy/MVP angle that it actually got me wondering what's next and excited to find out.

SMACKDOWN START

-- Opening video plays

-- Summer Slam Highlights

Show starts off with Teddy Long and the Great Khali in the ring. Teddy Long says that tonight they are going to determine a new number one contender for the World Championship title. Their will be a tournament to decide. Kane will face Finlay and Batista will face Mysterio. The winners of those two matches will face each other. Teddy then says, lets not wait until next week, lets get it started now!

Kane vs. Finlay
Kane dominates first half of match. Match ends when Kane hits Finlay with a clothes-line off the top rope. Kane then hit’s the choke slam on Finlay but the little bastard runs in and distracts Kane. Finlay rolls him up for the win.

Backstage Vince tells Batista that he could very well be his son. He’s got the looks, and everything. Batista says, If I was your dad, id kill you.

In the Ring

Mark Henry on the microphone. Mark says the Undertaker is coming back at Unforgiven and that he is going to break his back. The lights go out and The Undertaker’s music plays. On the screen the video that they played ask week shows. The Undertaker didn’t come out but states that he will make his return at Unforgiven. Mark Henry stands in the ring while this is happening.

Video package shows of Mysterio’s return.

Batista vs. Rey Mysterio
Back and forth match. Rey Mysterio goes for the 619 but misses. At the end, Finlay runs down, hits Rey Mysterio. Mysterio wins by DQ and Rey advances to the finals.

Vince McMahon Segment

Vince comes to the ring with coach. Just like on Monday, Coach says he has a list of people Vince has slept with and he would like to bring them out. The first girl that comes out is from New York. Her name is Sheryl. Vince says he remembers that night because she is hot.

Next Coach brings out a 3-girls from Connecticut. He said he had a 3-some with them and he remembers them because it was New Years of 1997. Vince says he remembers that night because they are hot. He said he brought in the new years with a big bang.

Another female comes out by the name of Sister Merry. She is dressed like a nun. Sister Merry gets on the mic and says “Our one night together, who could ever satisfy me in the way you did in 1991 in the parking lot.” Vince says Merry gave her a new direction for church. He then comments that she is second to nun.

After that, Vince says next Monday on RAW, he has to confront the other members of the McMahon Family and he is not worried.

Chris Masters vs. Chuck Palumbo
Masterlock challenge

They set the chair up, as Palumbo was about to escape, Chris Masters let off the hold and ran out of the ring. On Palumbo’s way back to the back he has problems starting his bike.

-- Krystal Marshall and Teddy Long - Invitation to their marriage shows up on the screen.

-- The Dalton aired a promo that they are coming to SmackDown.

Rey Mysterio vs. Fit Finlay
Winner gets match at Unforgiven.

During the match, Khali comes down and gets in the ring and takes Mysterio and throws him. Rey Mysterio advances by DQ. After the match, they beat on Mysterio and Batista comes down to make the save on Mysterio.

-- Rey Mysterio vs. Khali for the title at Unforgiven.

Khali vs Rey at Unforgiven may god that will be the best match ever!!!!!!!!!!

:lmao::lmao::lmao: Jesus, I never would have thought WWE would actually be this stupid for Rey/Khali. I guess it was a bit predictable but really who the hell wants to watch Khali beat the living shit out of Rey for 10 minutes? Rey has no offense against the guy that is 10x his size. What is he gonna do? Chops,Kicks,Punches? It's the David/Goliath shit again. It seems Vince Mcmahon gets erections everytime a wrestler overcomes the odds. At least finally Batista is out of the picture looks like he will move on the feud with Finlay. Rey/Khali Unforgiven mainevent...LMAO. No way Rey wins. Khali just bulldozing another opponent only to be shredded by Taker soon.

The rest of SD!...*yawn*.

Another Vinnie Mac skit I couldn't care less about. It doesn't look very funny from the way it was put. Hardy/MVP winning the belts...I like it. It builds up the feud even more with them holding the belts. But it just goes to show that the Tag Division is shit when your champs are getting beat by 1 has been instead of both challengers.

Henry on the mic...Always leads to nap time. I suppose all this sand means a Buried Alive match at UFG. The promos have the druids digging a hole. I like the promos though. They are badass..Something Henry is not.

4 matches with mostly just Rey and Finlay...Boring wrestling wise. Entertainment might be alright. I don't know. SD! is terrible right now.

It could use that Rated R Era right now.

So now we get the David vs Goliath story. Wow WWE so unpredictable yet again. Somehow Rey will win just you wait and see... After all Edge will most likley need a face to feud with when he returns, then the Rated R era can continue till Taker goes for the title again

It could use that Rated R Era right now.

I could use the Rated R era every day for the rest of my life and I would love every minute of it. seriously when Edge gets back Smackdown will be a whole different show they will have alot of talent it may be dark now but the futures bright for smackdown.

LOL! Rey vs Khali!!! HAHAHA!!! ALL IN on the vBookies for Mysterio, of course!!
then, Rey can feud with MVP, and wait until the true champ (Edge)returns.

Im glad to see batista out of the title picture, now, he can feud with Finlay and practice some moves....

MVP and Hardy champs.....Interesting?? i dont know, I prefer MVP on singles, feuding with Rey for the WHC belt. But as long MVP have heart issues, that's not gonna happen.

Henry vs Taker...**yawwwn* Henry should go to TNA instead of that punk of Pacman Jones. but in the mean time, he is going to be vanished by taker at unforgiven.

MVP and Hardy champs.....Interesting?? i dont know, I prefer MVP on singles, feuding with Rey for the WHC belt. But as long MVP have heart issues, that's not gonna happen.

now is there still something wrong with his heart because I thought that he underwent a succesful procedure for it and no they are just being careful with him. maybe im wrong but i thought I heard that

ECW spoilers for this week

Thanks to Amanda Sharp and Steve Gerweck for the following tonight:

- I was told that The Boogeyman d. Striker via DQ, thanks to Big Daddy V.

- The Miz d. Balls Mahoney.

- Elijah Burke and Kevin Thorn d. Tommy Dreamer and Stevie Richards.

- CM Punk d. John Morrison to capture the ECW Title.

This is awesome, CM Punk as the ECW champion [finally]. Too damn bad I don't have Sci Fi anymore to see it.

So much for pushing Morrison. Reminds me of what happened with RVD/Big Show last year, but this does nothing but straightens Morrison out as well as opens a door for fresh talent.

I guess the straight edge lifestyle won him his title lol jk. Its good to see Punk as champ and it should be interesting to see who he goes up against in the future and how long it takes to bring him up to RAW or Smackdown.

For Smackdown

SmackDown!:

- They are about to start Smackdown. Chavo Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio in an "I Quit" match plus The Great Khali and Finlay vs. Batista and Kane were announced for the show.

- Smackdown taping starts with MVP coming out to a living room setup in the ring for "In the VIP Lounge," and he introduces Matt Hardy as his guest.

- Matt Hardy defeated Deuce. Hardy doesn't know it was with the assistance from MVP outside the ring.

- Kenny Dykstra gets a win over Chuck Palumbo via forfeit.

- Batista and Kane defeated The Great Khali and Finlay.

- They are about to redo the Dykstra-Palumbo match .. Palumbo's bike wouldn't start before behind the scene.

- Chuck Palumbo defeated Kenny Dykstra.

- Cruiserweight title match: Hornswoggle wins against Jamie Noble as a result of a countout. Noble was trying to catch Hornswoggle in a trap with lucky charms, and ended up caught in the trap himself. That's why he was counted out.

- Rey Mysterio defeated Chavo Guerrero in an "I Quit" match. Khali came out and put Mysterio in the vise grip. Just as Rey is about down, Batista runs out and attacks Khali and then goes to check on Mysterio. Teddy Long comes out and announces a change for the main event at Unforgiven. It will be a triple threat match, Khali vs. Mysterio vs. Batista.

They were pushing Morrison and this feud was really good but since Morrison is one of the druggies he will be wiped off tv for a while so now look for Punk to feud with the Miz. Seruiously though the only person who Punk hasn't feuded with on ECW is Tommy Dreamer, now that is a match i'd like to see.

Heat:

- Val Venis defeated Jay Bradley.

- Super Crazy defeated Shawn Spears.

- Hacksaw Jim Duggan defeated Chad ?

- Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch defeated The Highlanders.

Raw: so far...

- Raw begins with a video segment of Randy Orton attacking John Cena's father Johnny Fabulous. The crowd is perfect, cheer when they should and boo when they should.

- Jeff Hardy defeated Umaga to capture the IC title. Umaga - suspended.

- They are showing Triple H and Carlito as upcoming tonight, not sure if its a match or the Cabana. They are also advertising "the McMahon family confrontation."

- Segment with Vince and Carlito. Vince suggests a handicap match because Umaga is mad about his loss. So it'll be Umaga and Carlito vs. Triple H.

- Another segment with Melina talking to William Regal about things she has done with Vince in private meetings. She whispers in Regal's ear and Regal claims its "filthy."

- Stephanie McMahon shows up, and then Linda shows with Linda slapping Melina in the face. Melina rubs her face, turns around and sees Ron Simmons who says "damn."

- Santino Marella comes out to vent his frustrations about Simmons and the "dump of a City Columbus," and Sandman interrupts.

- Santino Marella comes out to vent his frustrations about Simmons and the "dump of a City Columbus," and Sandman interrupts. Sandman chases him out of the ring.

- Beth Phoenix defeated Maria in about a minute. Beth says she is cashing in her opportunity against Candice Michelle at Unforgiven, and Candice comes running to save Maria.

- William Regal comes out to announce he gave Randy Orton the night off because of his actions last week. They are showing Randy via "satellite." Regal announces Orton vs. Cena at Unforgiven for the WWE championship. Cena comes out and kisses his dog tags and attacks Regal. They send out three referees out to try to get Cena off .. Cena walks up the ramp and leaves Regal in a heap on the floor.

I hope so, I really don't understand why he attacked Regal. Maybe it's cos regal was on the list as well and he'll be 'injured'

guys lets keep to the rules and not spam nor post spoilers to a show until the show is done
