The pre-show match for Survivor Series 2012 has been announced.... Here's the article from WWE.com followed by my thoughts on the match:

The WWE Universe’s favorite life-loving musical group, 3MB, will have the chance to solidify its place in WWE’s tag team hierarchy this Sunday in a bout against Tyson Kidd & Justin Gabriel on the free Survivor Series Pre-Show. The Pre-Show will stream live on WWE.com, Facebook.com/WWE and YouTube.com/WWE starting at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT, just before WWE’s fall classic.

Though it is not yet confirmed which two members will represent 3MB, the match will be significant for WWE’s stacked tag division regardless of which two-thirds of the air–guitar–shredding triumvirate shows up in ring gear. With WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No appearing as fragile as ever, all duos are looking to move up the ranks and try their hands at exploiting Kane & Daniel Bryan’s uneasy partnership. A win on the Survivor Series Pre-Show holds the potential to bump either 3MB or the unofficial “International Airstrike” up a few pegs.

The immensely talented Kidd & Gabriel each have been half of a tag team title tandem before, and together, they have danced around the periphery of WWE’s Tag Team Title scene for the better part of 2012. Each man logged impressive performances recently in singles competition: Kidd bested the towering Tensai in July and Gabriel upset U.S. Champion Antonio Cesaro in a non-title match. But despite this and their obvious tag team chemistry, the two international aerialists haven’t topped the tag division the way that many observers predicted.

Heath Slater, Drew McIntyre and the self-described “class clown” Jinder Mahal, meanwhile, have quickly built up steam since forming their alliance. The Slater/Mahal version of the designer–jean–clad band defeated perennial threats (and former United States Champions) Zack Ryder & Santino Marella in October. Though 3MB’s three-man structure would suggest an odd man out in the hunt for the WWE Tag Team Titles, past outfits such as The Fabulous Freebirds, Demolition and The Jersey Triad have proven three can survive, if not excel, in tag team divisions.

If Slater ends up an active participant Sunday, an intriguing dynamic beyond concerns of tag team rankings comes into play: familiarity. Slater and Gabriel won the WWE Tag Team Titles on three separate occasions between late 2010 and early 2011, so their knowledge of each other’s styles and tactics is vast. Even if the former “One-Man Band” doesn’t actually compete, Kidd & Gabriel can assume he will share with Mahal & McIntyre whatever knowledge he gleaned from his time teaming with Gabriel.

This should be a fun way to start off the night. I really am enjoying 3MB so far as a stable. I've been a fan of both Drew as well as Slater for years, and while Jinder's involvement does leave me scratching my head, this is a stable I have very much gotten behind. So then we have their opponents Tyson Kidd & Justin Gabriel. Kidd & Gabriel's jobs here will be to get the crowd excited before the real show begins. 3MB gets the win because they are needing the momentum as they go forward. I'm looking forward to the match and honestly wish it was on the main card.

DAGGER'S PREDICTION
3MB will defeat Tyson & Gabriel.

What about the rest of you? What are your thoughts on this match, who will win and why?

Discuss! :)

I for one am very disappointed that this has to be a pre-show match. Hell, I'd rather pay for this than the Cesaro/Truth match. I love Drew, I love Heath, I am learning to love Jinder (preferred his FCW/NXT work more)- 3MB is a stable that truly entertains me. While I do also like Kidd and Gabriel, 3MB needs the win here to move up the totem pole. I'm not knocking Tyson and Justin, I'm just saying I really don't see them winning this- really looking forward to a good match from these men nonetheless.

I would actually like to see this on the main card. I am enjoying 3MB thus far, and I think they will get the win here. Gabriel and Kidd don't really seem to be catching on that well as a team. One week they are in singles the next week a team. 3MB is the cohesive unit here, and they need the win more and they will get it.

Just read that Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal will be the participants, with Drew McIntyre in attendance, but not wrestling. Since the previous two times we've seen 3MB, Heath and Jinder were the guys in the ring, I sure hope they're going to have Drew wrestle again now that he's back on the road after the death of his Mother.

As to the result of this match.....it doesn't really matter, does it? We don't know if Gabriel-Kidd are getting some kind of push or whether they're just a couple of excellent works who've been thrown together for awhile to further the resurgence of tag team wrestling in WWE.

The PPV could've used another Survivor Series elimination match, and I certainly would've loved to have seen a Rey Cara, International Airstrike, Cobro & Usos vs. 3MB (Slater & Mahal), Prime Time Players, Epico & Primo, Hunico & Camacho match. I know it's a clusterfuck, but it's a throwback to the original Survivor Series PPV's where they had like 4 or 5 tag teams on each team, it would've been nice to go back to that just for this one Survivor Series, but I don't mind this match either. Should be a good way to hype up the crowd & kick off the show, I don't expect Tyson & Kidd win though since it looks like they will be splitting up and 3MB need to build more momentum.

This could be a pretty fun match all in all. I was hoping that there'd be another traditional Survivor Series match that'd be comprised of mostly tag teams. Personally, I'd like to see Kidd & Gabriel team with Mysterio & Sin Cara and maybe R-Truth against The Prime Time Players, 3MB and Antonio Cesaro. I doubt McIntyre will be wrestling if his wrist is still in a cast, so putting Cesaro & Truth in this setting would be a means of giving their feud a little more depth in order to set up the United States Championship match a little later.

I have a feeling that 3MB will go over against Kidd & Gabriel. I thought WWE had quietly broken the two of them up a little while back. At this point, it might be better to keep them as a tag team as it just adds that much more momentum to the tag team scene in WWE.

Its a pre show, and and WWE is going to give the fans watching what they want. International Airstrike will beat the bad guys and it will mean nothing for either team. Maybe a rematch on Raw or SD where 3MB gets the win, but I don't see it happening here.

My first thoughts on who would be competing were Slater and Mahal. This stable is being built around Heath, so thats a given. And, WWE seems to have no care or no hope for Drew, so Mahal will be chosen to. I hope to see Drew bounce back soon.

This should be a fun match to watch. Hell this will be the first ppv preshow I will end up watching ever. I love Justin Gabriel & Tyson Kidd as a team and 3MB is pretty entertaining this could go either way but based off past history i'll go with International Airstrike to pick up the victory the faces usually win the preshow match.

Why the hell is this not a Survivor Match? Add Santino or Ted DiBiase and The Usos to Airstrike and you have a strong 5 on 5 elimination match.

Not sure which two they'll use, not keen to see Drew in the tag division as I think he should be being pushed higher but he and Slater could be an interesting team. I just don't see Jinder being in this for long, I could see him being replaced once the inevitable face-turn comes.

Forgot to say who I'd add to 3MB - If not the Prime Time Players then why not give this (awful) Fandango gimmick an airing... or of course they could always (finally debut) Dean Ambrose as well...Survivor Series has a history of debuting new characters.

Yeah, they could of easily made another SS traditional match. 3MB and Primetime Players vs Mysterio, Sin Cara, Ryder, Santino and someone else.

They only have 5 SS matches announced and 2 of the matches are just filler (Divas, R-Truth/Cesaro.)

With all the guys not booked it's a little odd that they did not add another SS match.

Well let me first start by saying the match should be...
-YouTube Pre-Show: CoBro & Brodus Clay w/The Funkadactyles vs. 3MB
That is where the feud was, some suprsise switching is okay for some major shake ups like the Triple threat but this is just ridiculous, & only 2...MB is performing....ARE YOU SERIOUS BRO?!?!?! And while many may disagree & I would agree "Interantional Airstrike" will deliver a more technically solid match, CoBro & Clay are more over & more entertaining IMO.

Besides that, this match isn't bad. I'm happy to see more tag team wrestling. This is a better pre-show than "John Cena makes an announcement", a match with David Otunga, or some random battle royal, where unless it is a returning star like Christian, we all know they are going to lose. I could just do without switching more than one or two matches & the stupidity of only 2/3rds of 3MB wrestling on a TEAM based PPV when they have plenty of midcard faces to add to the babyface team.

I for one am enjoying the 3MB stable, and would like nothing more than to see them win in the pre-show. Hate on Jinder if you must, but I always saw something special in him(making Big Zeke tap was a wow moment) and I hope he goes all the way to the top. I'm glad that WWE has hit the reset button with him, he seems to be enjoying his new role. Anyone think Christian would make a great new "band" member?
