I thought there was a thread discussing this.

At any rate, The Big Show has his rematch against Mark Henry for the WHC this Sunday at Survivor Series. As with so many other things involving Mark Henry over the past 6 months or so, this feud has been surprisingly interesting. Mark Henry has been one of the best things going for WWE, and wrestling in general in my opinion, in 2011 and his title run has been strong. Big Show has become more interesting now than he's been in quite some time. While Show has stumbled a little, in my eyes, by trying to be the happy go lucky giant, Henry has ultimately kept this feud on track. Some probably aren't fans of this particular feud or angle and probably think it's boring because of the slower pace these two work but, hey, can't please everybody and you'd have to be a fool not to acknowledge that Henry has been solid gold.

I don't know exactly how it'll happen, but I fully expect Henry to retain at Survivor Series for several reasons. One reason is because of sheer numbers. SD! is consistently drawing, overall, the best numbers it's had since coming to Syfy since Henry has been champ. Henry is a draw, believe it or not, and he's money right now. I can't see how the WWE brass can't be happy with the numbers the blue brand has been pulling in. This second one is pure speculation on my part but Henry's run has been a very good thing for the WWE, SD!, Henry himself and the WHC. A final reason why I think Henry will retain, and this one is purely cosmetic, is because Henry now has his own t-shirt that we saw on Raw. Looked pretty cool I thought. With Henry just now getting a t-shirt and in the middle of his run, it doesn't seem likely that they'll take the title from him less than a week after unveiling a new piece of Henry merchendise. I wonder, is this the first piece of Henry merchendise? I can't really recall ever seeing Henry shirts or anything of that nature.

I didn't realize there was a Mark Henry shirt that would say to me that the WWE is pretty happy with Henry's run. And I think this might be one of those don't expect much, but ends up good matches. A real physical fight between Henry and Show that I would expect Henry to retain. Just hope the ring is extra reinforced. :P

It amazes me that a feud between two 400+ pound guys past their 40s is one of the hottest and most interesting feuds in the WWE right now. Their match at Vengence greatly surpassed my expectations. Guess that low expectations is not a bad thing at all .

As for their match at Survivor Series, I expect it to another interesting battle of the giants. I expect Henry to retain in a somewhat dominant fashion. Henry's run as WHC is probably one of the best championship runs in the last few years and should definitely continue.

I have to agree completely...When they moved Randy Orton over to Smackdown! I though to myself "Great, It's gonna be the Randy Orton Show." To my surprise the WWE finally gave Mark Henry a title run just a few months after Orton made the switch and it has been fun to watch. Mark finally stepped away from his the joke he had become...Remember when he was in love with Mae Young? God that was awful! But now he is angry, he is pissed, and he is beating the balls off anyone who steps in his way. It's been awhile since there has been the heel in the WWE who you just don't want to mess with. Mark has become that guy and I would like to see the run continue until The Rumble or Hell In A Cell.

Two months ago, I would have told you there's no way Mark Henry would hold the WHC into 2012.

But now, I think it's gonna happen...

I agree, Henry's title run has been great, and I also expect him to retain until 2012, possibly until Wrestlemania. He's been a real breath of fresh air. Orton is getting stale for me, so I was pleasantly when Henry defeated and retained his title against Orton. It's nice to see a champion make it past their first feud.

I'd like to see Mark Henry dominate the Big Show at Survivor Series and really prove to everyone that, after 10 years, he's finally arrived.

Somebody's gonna get they a** kicked....

Henry's title run has been excellent. I have been a Henry fan for a very long time. He is great. And it is nice to see he has a shirt out. I will be goin to wwe.com after this post to get me one. I really hope he retains against the show. His matches with everyone have been dominate and intimidating. His tag bout was great too. When he tagged in Del Rio and ADR got all pissed and said "why you do that? Thats your opponent" That was funny right there I dont care who you are. All in all it should be an oldfashonied sloberknocker that will be one for the ages.

p.s. Is there a time limit you are banned from commenting on the news articles? Ive been banned for quite some time now. :(

I don't follow television ratings because that stuff doesn't typically interest me but if what you say is true and Smackdown's ratings have been staying consistent since Henry's title reign, then there's no reason to take the belt off of him. Add to that the fact that Henry is on the biggest roll of his career and is pure gold playing his role as the unstoppable monster, and you have yourself a compelling reason why Henry should retain the title. I think losing the title at this point would kill his momentum. In fact, the more I watch Henry the more I think he will (and really should) carry the title all the way to Wrestlemania.

What ratings is Smackdown getting? The last I heard they were scoring beneath 2.0, when 2.0+ used to be their average a couple years back. I'll be happy to know they're doing better, though it might be a bit narrow-sighted to attrib...ute the ratings increase entirely to Henry, considering the appearance of RAW superstars could be helping also. It should be helping a lot more than it probably has, considering how often they've failed to advertise such appearances before Smackdown aired. If the number one contender to the WWE Championship (CM Punk) and the United States Champion (Dolph Ziggler) are going to appear on Smackdown, shouldn't they advertise the fuck out of that shit? That was a good show, too, so it's a shame if they didn't draw as good of a rating as that show deserved because they didn't advertise the appearances beforehand.

As for the Show-Henry match, they should have booked it as Falls Count Anywhere or at least No Holds Barred. Not just because of a possible third ring (not that they would do that again so soon), but because their slow and plodding styles would probably benefit from a stipulation in which they can use bigger spots and brawl on the floor without having to worry about count-outs or disqualifications. It just seems like sensible booking for a monster mash, I don't see why WWE has opted out of it.

Mark Henry's title reign has kicked ass, he proved me wrong and not only won the World Heavyweight Championship but has been a great champion and has really been a major contribution to the blue brand. At the same time Big Show has been one of the better contenders since his return from injury, his promo the night he came back was one of the best I've ever seen from his and his interactions with Henry have been great, I'm loving this battle of giants. I think that Show has been a very credible contender but at the same time Henry has been on the roll of his career, and I don't see him losing it this weekend.
Gunslinger's Prediction
Mark Henry Retains

I think Mark Henry is in his moment, I mean the guy is unstoppable right now, something different, at least they're giving someone else the chance, and henry has done a great job, I expect a great battle at Survivor Series, I hope they do a original spot for this match away from breaking the ring of course and deliver a great bout with Mark retaining and then winning a tables match at TLC to end 2011 as champ

Henry will win. He is having a nice run as champ. He is kind of an old school monster heel. WWE really hasn't had a heel like Henry recently.

I think the Raw supershows have helped SD get a little boost in the ratings. They are actually promoting SD wrestlers and their feuds during Raw. And another important factor imo, they are out of the summer months. Usually the summer months tv ratings are lower especially on Friday nights. I mean even TNA ratings have increased a little lately. Their is a reason why networks start their new shows and seasons during the fall. Last SD got a 1.95, and SD a couple weeks ago with Punk on got a 1.93. So they are still unfortunately getting below 2 ratings.

This feud is ok. Big Show has been laying into Mark Henry like no other challenger has. Show's passion to get the World Championship is inspiring for once although I think there's more here. The WWE seems to be teasing a Money in the Bank cash in as of late but I don't buy it. Bryan promised to cash in on the champion at Wrestlemania and I believe him. However, I do see something big happening here. I don't exactly know what but I've got a gut feeling Kane will return to be added to the feud. Maybe once Kane gets back, we'll see Big Show move on to help some younger less over Superstar to get over while Kane and Henry do their thing. This match will proably be no different from their previous (excluding the ending) meaning a lot of hits and headbuts will likely be involved but these two suprised me last time, maybe they'll do it again. Sorry Big Show, but it's Henry's time right now. Your time will come later.

Hamler's Prediction - Mark Henry will retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

This match does not interest me in the least bit. The feud is about as boring as Henry's reign has been. They already broke the ring last time so how can they possibly top that this time? It won't be the worst of the night but likely the worst other than the divas match. Henry will retain the way things are looking because he can set up a similar feud with Kane when he returns. Big Show as much as I want him to win would have less interesting options available for feuds, and that's saying a lot since I hate Henry as a champion.

DAGGER'S PREDICTION
Mak Henry will retain the World Heavyweight Championship

Gonna be another classic big man match. Although it won't top their last one just because...well really, breaking the ring? What are they going to do? Rig the arena to collapse?

Henry should retain, I still believe they're gonna have Sheamus take the title off him to take him to the next level. Both guys know how to work a match and work their size. If you know anything about wrestling, you'll be able to appreciate what these guys do. If you're a ****** smark who thinks that WURKRATEZ, MOVEZ, AND FLIPZ make a good match, don't waste your time, instead go to a local indy show and watch baggy pants wrestler #47 exchange wrist locks in a supposed blood feud with kick pads wrestler #33 who will at some point no sell a full nelson suplex.

At Money In The Bank, this match was excellent. Just two huge guys beating eachother up. The second time round was OK. The novelty of the feud had worn off by Vengeance, although the ring collapsing was a very nice touch. Now we're at the third match and they're going to have to pull something really awesome out of the bag to make this match interesting for me.

As for the winner, Henry. It's got to be Henry, no? It looks like they're building towards Daniel Bryan vs. Mark Henry at WrestleMania. And what would he Big Show do with the title? I like The Big Show, but as champion? I'll pass, thanks. Henry will retain and look great doing it, possibly leading up to a four-way at TLC.

Henry winning is pretty much a foregone conclusion here. Mark Henry is having an outstanding run as the World Heavyweight Champion, and there isn't a real reason to take the strap off of him just yet. Big Show's most recent return has impressed me a lot, and the giant is having a nice little run right now. I've enjoyed the matches between Show and Henry this year, and I am expecting another physical and hard hitting battle of the big men at Survivor Series. Seeing Mark Henry head into 2012 with the World Heavyweight Championship wouldn't bother me at all, because he has been one of the more entertaining heel champions.
