WWE Releasing Daniel Bryan?

The WWE wouldn't do this, and you should stop investing your mental capacity into shoot interviews from angry ex wrestlers. If Daniel Bryan was healthy, they'd bring him back. He's not healthy, he's dangerous right now.

Exactly, while he still moves merch, he makes much more money for the company in the ring than he does sittin' at home. And with as many top stars as they have injured right now if they could bring him back in they would. And yeah whether you like it or not they're gonna push Roman Reigns. They've got way too much invested in him at this point just to tell him to go pound salt for a guy who could end up out of action again in a month or two.

Plus let's face it like someone else said you've got a guy who has hardly wrestled much in the past two years and who when he was given the belt ended up gettin' injured for a long time. He's got a concussion right after coming off of a major neck injury. These are both injuries that by themselves have ended people's careers let alone getting one right after the other. You can't plan big angles and feuds around somebody who you don't even know if they'll be there for the payoff. It sucks for Daniel Bryan and his fans but it is what it is. Until the doctors clear him he ain't gonna be wrestling in a WWE ring.

There sure is. Stamford wants an ersatz wrestler that WWE created to be the "face" of the company rather than one with an organic following. Dbry comes back, and Reigns loses all momentum as the fans will put DBry back to the top of the heap. And Dunn and VKM will shit in their pants that all the effort to ram Reigns down our throats will be for nothing. As I have said in other posts, I will bet the Maroon never even EXAMINED DBry, and Stamford is blowing smoke up all of our asses in order to protect Lex Luger 2.0.

You know it just might be me but what the hell is wrong with fans. Can we not have Daniel Bryan and Roman Reigns on the same roster, why does it have to be one or the other?

I would prefer to think that we are all adults here, and that we can root for both of them or neither, or just one without having to tell one they can't be there. This whole Daniel Bryan/Roman Reigns merry go round has pissed me off since the beginning.

I'm a fan of Reigns, I like Daniel Bryan but prefer Reigns. It doesn't bother me that Bryan would potentially be in the Rumble, it also doesn't bother me that Reigns might have to wait a little while before he gets the title again if he loses it. Seems to me that these wrestlers go in and do what their told by the higher up's. It's us fans that can't stand the decisions that are made, and take it out on the guys that are just out there trying to make a living.

Maybe that's why the WWE treats us like idiots, because a lot of the time we act like we are.

Regardless that's just all speculation. In the grand scheme of things, they could still bring Bryan back and still continue to push Reigns as their guy. I really feel they're holding Bryan back until he is medically cleared. I feel that issue with CM Punk's tell all shoot with how he was treated during injuries struck a nerve within the company. Even that alone is just pure speculation - I'll stick by him not being cleared until I read some credible source about it that confirms he was out to not slow down Reigns.

That's a good point. In terms of fan appeal, Daniel Bryan is somewhere else on the popularity scale than Roman Reigns or anyone else. Not higher or lower.....just somewhere else. Hell, it doesn't even matter if Bryan wrestles, does it?.....the fans still love seeing him show up so they can do the "Yes!" chant that seems to drive them wild.

In that regard, I still maintain (and have taken plenty of flak on this forum for it) that the audience likes Daniel more for his chant than anything else. True wrestling fans might appreciate his ring prowess but many, many people in the crowd care only for the chant.....making Daniel more popular for non-wrestling factors than for what he can do in the ring.

That said, as long as the fans get what they want out of Daniel, the company can push Roman Reigns to the sky and Daniel's presence won't affect that in the least.

It's all good. Roman has to work his butt off to achieve #1 status while all Daniel has to do is stand in the ring and raise his arms over & over.

Fame may be fleeting, but Daniel Bryan's has staying power. May he live and be healthy 'til he's 100. :)

There's always been more than 1 top face in the company. There's plenty of room for DBryan to come back and allow Reigns to continue his climb. There's a lot of heels to put them in feuds with as well...hell, you could team Reigns and Bryan together in tag matches to take on their counterparts. That would generate even more love for Roman, especially if he's running to save DB from being demolished by someone or a group.

You're kidding, right? There's idiots here who still complain that Ambrose is Reigns's sidekick, even though A) they don't share segments nearly as often as they used to, and B) when they started teaming again, Ambrose was the one in the title picture for months.

It would simply be the same idiotic moaning, just with a different wrestler.

I'm believing he's saying in retrospect. Like Hogan/Andre The Giant, Hogan/Warrior, Austin/The Rock, Cena/whoever else that has consistently been viewed as a top face. The problems why Ambrose is viewed the face he is because Reigns has yet to solidify himself as that top guy as a face. Both guys being built up at the same time with Reigns getting more of a rub does make him look like a lackey.

If WWE does release Daniel Bryan, it would be the stupidest thing any wrestling company has ever done.

He's the most over wrestler in the entire company. He's the best in-ring worker. His character is great as almost everyone can identify with it.

John Cena is injured. Is he going to get released? Why not release everyone who gets injured and actually gets over?

I know this report is most likely false, but who knows? This is the same company that gave us Royal Rumble 2014 & 2015, the two worst PPVs of all time.

If Daniel Bryan does get released, then I'm done watching WWE. Seriously.

If WWE were to have already cleared DB for action, they wouldn't just announce it. In fact, it'd be in their interest to let you think they were going to release him. That way the return comes as a surprise.

But if DB were to return at say The Rumble, what is that going to do for Roman's momentum? I mean, he's only "over," because A) they're pushing him like they did Cena and B) they're using canned cheers for him. So at the Rumble, DB would get cheered all kinds and when he's eliminated, Roman is standing there getting booed out of the building and that's how it'll go for the entire RTWM.

Thumbs down to D-Bryan haters. People genuienly love D-Bryan, not just for his chant. They love him as a human being. Bryan is so humble and real. He is just being himself and it shows. That is why we love him.

Tired of your lame excuses. People chant D-Bryans name. He is the most exciting wrestler they have.

Roman will never get that type of reaction by being Cena 2.0.

Bring Back Face Bryan and Turn Roman Heel. No matter what story they attempt for WrestleMania, Roman is getting booed no matter who he faces. Mignt as well turn him heel and embrace the hate.

Roman against Brock? Brock is getting cheered.
Against Bryan? Bryan gets cheered.
Against HHH, HHH gets cheered.
Against Cena...Both are getting Booed LOL

Whatever. Bring Bryan back or let him go. Tired of waiting.
