WWE Hell In A Cell: WWE United States Championship HIAC Match - Reigns (c) VS Rusev

The first official bout for HIAC has been announced and, if I'm not mistaken, it's the first time one of the mid-card titles will be defended in HIAC itself.

I think Reigns & Rusev have had a couple of strong matches, much better than I was expecting, though I'm not really expecting one of the all time great HIAC matches between them. Of course, it's possible I could be wrong and they could deliver a hell of an effort. At any rate, this will almost certainly be the blow off to this program with Reigns retaining and ultimately moving on.

Don't be at all surprised if this headlines the PPV. Vince is still dead set on Roman Reigns being the top star in the company and the unbeatable superhero babyface he thinks the company needs to revolve around. Reigns is probably going to have a lengthy US title reign before being pushed back into the main title picture shortly after WrestleMania. Impressively, Rusev has gotten some fairly decent matches out of Reigns, so this might not wind up being a total train wreck.

I wouldn't be surprised. It sucks HHH's involvement in the KO/Rollins feud takes away from what the feud could have been.

Yeah, I think Reigns will end up facing Strowman at WM and lose the title to Strowman then move on to be back in the world title picture.

Rusev needs to turn face. His anti-American act is stale.

This Hell In A Cell would serve as a blowoff to this long Rusev-Reigns feud.

I amn't sure where Rusev goes from here. A feud with Sami Zayn maybe?

Same for Reigns. Cesaro/Sheamus is now a team. And I don't want Strowman Vs Reigns for the title. I guess Zayn could be right for Reigns at Survivor Series.

Plus Reigns is getting a consecutive Hell In A Cell match as he faced Bray Wyatt in the same match last year. Turning Reigns heel against Sami Zayn could do wonders for both.

Reigns should get a long reign with the US title and have killer matches with different guys before dropping the title at Mania and turning heel the night after, lMO.

Sami Zayn, as you mentioned, is in limbo at present and he would be perfect as the next challenger given Reigns is already heavily booed anyway. It could be a great way to elevate Sami Zayn beyond being "Guy who hates KO".

Just watched this match.

The match was good but WWE, please stop booking Roman Reigns like some Superman or John Cena v2.0.

It could have been an A grade match only if Reigns didn't showcase that he's a Superman.

Don't know where Rusev goes now but Reigns could feud with Braun Strowman or Sami Zayn for the United States title.

So a good but easily predictable match.
