WWE Getting Boring???? Especially Raw

Its funny how all of you people are calling Raw boring yet you are keeping up with it. And even if you are just reading reports, you are still giving it your time and energy. If its that boring, why even discuss it?

I like the way Raw is going. It's not boring to me at all. Sure there are a few segments here and there (Trump/Rosey ugh) however overall its still damn good. Cena/Umaga told a great story in their feud. DX vs. Rated RKO kinda put tag teams back on the main stage, if only for a short bit. Carlito, Hardy, and Nitro are tearing it up on the undercard and Mickey James is on fire. I love how people now a days say a month or 2 for a feud is "too long". man back in the day feuds used to go for anywhere between 6 months to a year and a half. I realize people have shorter attention spans now a days, but a 3 month feud isnt shit.

Reading a report on it as opposed to watcing it is different. Reading about what happened at least doesn't give them ratings that they don't deserve I still bash about how bad it's doing because I've grown up watching it as I'm sure a lot of people on this forum have done and I want to believe that those of us that have grown up watching the WWE are disgusted with what it's become. I haven't ordered a PPV from the WWE since Backlash. Sorry I don't share your same view on Umaga. I am not going to call him a Samoa Joe wannabe because I think it's ridiculous since the styles and gimmicks are different. However, The whole "Wild Samoans/Samoan Swat Team" gimmick is tired. What is this? Mid 80s-early 90s? What has Umaga done to make me think he's a main eventer? He's beaten Flair, beaten Kane. Big deal. He beats Triple H and HBK but only because of outside help. The most important thing to note with how bad the WWE is doing, it's the belts. The titles mean absolutely nothing nowadays. The tag titles, world titles. All have been reduced to nothing in value. At least the value of the belts in TNA as well as title reigns still exist. Vince's focus on the WWE is like how Al Davis runs the Oakland Raiders or Jerry Jones tries to run the Dallas Cowboys. They try to coach and be the owner. You can't have it both ways. Vince needs to decide, movies or your wrestling product.

People are starting to sound like broken records when they talk about Umaga. If Samoa Joe himself has said that Umaga isn't a "Samoa Joe Wannabe" than why do fans insist on using that when talking about Umaga? He's a decent wrestler and a good powerhouse.

I'm not disgusted with what the WWE has become. Just because it isn't full of wrestlers acting like acrobats all over the ring in every match (not that there's anything wrong with that) doesn't mean that Raw or the WWE has become as bad as people say it is.

Raw had some good matches in the past. It wasn't always about lengthy promos though they always had lengthy promos. We are not acting for high flying spot fest like you describe but more technical and better wrestling. I agree, Umaga is nothing like Samoe Joe. IMO, Samoa Joe is more athletic but I wont doubt Umaga's ability. For someone 300 plus pound to be able to do the stuff he does is amazing. Same goes for Joe even thought I think he is less then 300 not sure. Umaga can hold his own sometimes. He does spinning heel kicks, top rope moves and etc. Smackdown! seems to be the better wrestling wise but RAW focused more on entertainment. Especially with Mcmahon returning. It was reported he is trying to make RAW look cool with bringing in all these actors, sports players and etc just to get more viewers and ratings. At first I didn't believe it but with Trump appearing on RAW, Superstar to Superstar on WWE.com and stuff it seem's hard not to believe. RAW gets lots of viewers and big ratings. They should focus on SD! and WWECW and try to get those up to par.

We're wrestling fans. If we spend enough time to setup an account and posting on a wrestling messageboard, one would figure we'd frequent any wrestling we could get our grubby little mitts on at any time. It's not rocket science. Some of us would like to discuss what we'd wish to see changed. Besides, if we all loved the product, where the hell is the fun of coming on here to debate?

You can like Raw as much as you want. Cena/Umaga told zero story in their feud. Umaga babbles in a foreign tongue while Cena does his best wrestling impression. I'll agree that Carlito and Nitro are doing a solid job, but the fact that they're both still sitting midcard doesn't say much for the direction of the company. Hardy is where I draw the line. He needs a tag team to be in as he is a mediocre (and I'm being very nice) singles wrestler and his brother is gathering dust on Smackdown doing nothing but coasting by on fumes from the Edge/Lita incident that nobody cares about anymore. If by on fire, you mean that Mickie James is a hot, sexy, babe, I'm right there with you. As far as her wrestling, she's colder than the Arctic Circle and is prime proof that the women's division needs major retooling or to just be nixed. The feuds seem too long because the wrestling accompanying them usually sucks major ass. The old feuds use to be great because the matches would elevate them further and further. Now, the Cena/Lashley/Batista feuds give agony a new meaning and find a way to extend it to new heights. That is why people lap up stuff like the DX gimmick. It's like an empty promise of quality, but people are so desperate for something bankable and familiar that anything will do...even a parody of a parody.

I haven't been keeping up with WWE that much, i find it easier to wake up and check WWE.com to see who won the matches i give a rat's ass about.

Smackdown i must say i found entertaining but Friday night at 8:00 is a horrible time to air wrestling. it should go back to thursday's at 8.

As for Raw, it has to become less of a Soap Opera and more of wrestling. Honestly i could care less about the women's division and it's really awkward to watch with my dad around

It has become boring and changes need to be made like...

1. new smackdown date / time
2. another draft in the works (after HBK / Cena feud)
3. Triple H turns heel on HBK when he comes back (dx ending)
4. more wrestling, less soap opera
5. Vince ... STAY BACKSTAGE.
6. Actual WRESTLERS. Less Khali / Cena / etc more Jericho / Hardy / etc

more Jericho/Hardy? Jericho is signing with TNA hehehe he doesn't want a hectic schedule and now that he is gone from WWE Edge has his show Cutting Edge which is far better than Carlitos Cabana and Highlight Reel!
More Khali coz he needs a push since Big Slow left (TNA bound) if it wasn't for BIG SLOW KHALI would have been nothing and no exposure would show I want to see him against John Cena again! Cause Cena would not stand a chance but I see him against Lashley on RAW tomorrow!
as for DX which mean DEEP PENETRATION X is dead it was the worst I mean the worst team ever to come out after nWo ! I am glad Edge crippled HHH so that would prolong and kill DPX as it was supposed to be dead!!!

If this topic is about Raw being boring and needing something new, why would you want to see HHH go heel again, and see him fued with HBK again? Should not be done. If they want to kill DX then they should just not bring it up when he comes back.

As for the TNA ultimate mark above me, I highly doubt Jericho will go to TNA. I also doubt Big Show will go to TNA, and why would you want Show anyways? He doesn't represent wrestling at its finest, and isn't that what TNA is supposed to be about? Well if it is you guys need to stop jumping at every chance to sign every old WWE guy with name value, and concentrate on supporting the guys who are there, and building them up. If they keep shelling out hundreds of thousands of dollars to bring in a new popular wwe guy every month they will go broke.

by the way I like TNA, but I like Samoa Joe, A.J. Styles, Daniels, etc etc and not when they just bank on name value of other people.

Exactly. The x division is what put them on the map and those stars are the true talent on tna. The old timers coming in like big poppa dump are unnecessary in the scheme of things, other than to bring over fans that feel nostalgia towards wcw... Angle and samoa joe I will say whether they are opponents or partners seem to be the biggest soap opera going on there weekly along with Christian Cage and his army of mental midgets... Honestly abyss has never been anything, give it up already. Same with tompko... Just an extra musclehead with very little in ring ability and no charisma....

Well, im a raw man through and through but i really think WWE is starting to get to boring and predictable.

The whole thing with DX and Rated-RKO is just too predictable. You just know that Shawn would turn the tables on Rated-RKO. And I for one knew that Shawn was going to bash brains with a steel chair.
As i said i love raw but im starting to turn to smackdown! and even TNA. Simply because of their better storylines and superstars.

I wouldn't quite say Goldberg. He is totally up his own ass and knows nothing about quality wrestling. Good news regarding Jericho as he should be making a comeback in September sometime (even though its only a rumour) we can all hope. I agree that RAW is losing its touch and I think it all stems from the brand extention. It has put such a strain on decent talent that there is just not enough for all three brands. They need to bring everything back together because for me, its just not working.
