WWE Extreme Rules: WWE Divas Championship - Nikki Bella (c) VS Naomi

As Paige is out "injured", though she's really filming a movie, Naomi has replaced her as #1 contender for the Divas Championship and will get her shot at Extreme Rules.

One potential problem here is that both gals are heels, yet this could also be an opportunity to establish Naomi as a nasty heel Diva by having her go over Nikki. By Extreme Rules this Sunday, Nikki Bella will have been WWE Divas Champion for 154 days and with reports of the Bella Twins leaving WWE sometime this year when their deal expires, I could see Nikki dropping the strap to Naomi.

Naomi does have personality and she's very athletic, I just think a few little tweaks need to be done now that she's heel. I feel she needs different entrance music as everything about her current theme screams babyface and I think she needs a different finisher. The Rear View is one of those moves that, again, looks like it belongs to a babyface, though it's kinda stupid really, not nearly as stupid as The Cobra but it's still goofy.

Both are heels which just makes the match odd. The same applies for the tag title match even if the New Day are sort of ambiguous; it is clear you should boo them. Fuck knows what the crowd is meant to do in this match. Maybe that is the point.

There is no need to have the Bella's turn babyface. They work far better as heels because it is believable. I'm sure this match will be fine but this show has 7 other matches all of which need decent time. I'm not expecting a classic here but they might get another chance on Raw or something.

In an ideal world Charlotte comes out and takes out all three. If that isn't happening then Nikki should and probably will win. Naomi isn't the right person (at this time) to take the belt of the Bellas.

they make Naomi as their pure heel. her music and finisher must change. they already change Bella's to face. at raw commentary she acted like face. but I don't like Naomi to win the strap.

Is Nikki really a heel? I keep losing track, and I'm pretty sure that WWE creative loses track as well. She hasn't done any heel things besides acting smug, they should probably let Nikki attack someone from behind or something. Remind us why she's significant besides being the current Diva's Champion.

I agree that Naomi should get a new finisher, but I don't want to see her stop doing the thump. Iceman King Parsons and Junk Yard Dog are awesome references to have for an occasional mark like me. Maybe have her do that as a signature move that only gets a two count, I also have to say that her split leg moonsault is badass. If her derriere absolutely must be the focus of her finisher, then maybe give her the Banzai Drop (Hell, she married into the family that made it famous).

I don't see Naomi being able to be a heel, a true heel that is. I see her becoming an anti-heroine, which is an awesome concept in itself. Maybe like Foxy Brown or the Fish Mooney character from Gotham. Maybe have her slap around the Usos for interrupting her or looking at her the wrong way. Give her gimmick some position power.

While Paige is way over, I don't see most fans holding a grudge against Naomi for helping the Diva's division become more interesting. I'm actually excited to see Naomi take the belt and have some marquee PPV matches with Paige.

This should be a good match. I've waited a long time to see Naomi get a title shot. I'm glad to see they gave Naomi a chance.

I think this may be the one match where WWE tries to pull a shocker and have Naomi win the title to make ER less predictable while fans get behind Nikki as she chases the title.

Yes, since the hot & heavy Bella feud ended without resolution, it's been hard to tell on which side the sisters came down. Brie is a good guy .....except when she's helping Nikki do something bad. Nikki's a heel .....except when she's attitude-neutral and you can't tell whether Brie's good influence might be rubbing off on her.

Either way, since WWE has gone to a concept of letting the divas work longer matches....and not trading the world championship on a weekly basis, as they used to......I figure Nikki will continue to be champion until Paige gets back. If that's so, Naomi wouldn't have much of a chance tomorrow.

Frankly, I wouldn't mind Naomi taking the duke, as long as it doesn't involve a butt block or keister kash-in.......Face it, would you want to see a title change with a move the announcer's dub "The Flying Asshole?"

It's about time for Nikki Bella to drop the title.....but it would be painful to watch Naomi "back" into it.

Ok, so I truly do hate the stereotype of Divas Championship matches being thought of as a chance to head to the fridge for a snack or the excuse to take any other type of break. Sadly, this time that is 100% the case. I refuse to cheer for Nikki Bella and I couldn't care less about Naomi. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Naomi's not Divas Championship material and she never will be. When a BELLA is more deserving of the Divas Championship than you, then you KNOW you suck. This match will be absolutely awful and not only do I predict it will be the worst match of the night, I predict it will be one of the worst matches of the year. Nikki retains and Naomi goes back to doing nothing. It likely goes on earlier in the evening to get it over with, maybe 2nd or 3rd.

I personally think Nikki will retain the belt. While Naomi might be a better worker and does have a real personality, there hasn't been much build to this feud and I suspect she's being fed to the champ. Granted, AJ retiring probably had a lot to do with her sudden push, but this is why Nikki needs to win.

Like Nikki or not, she has been pushed as an effective champion. Whoever gets the belt off her needs to have a strong storyline to back her victory, which makes Paige the best candidate. Or Brie, if they're setting her up to turn on Nikki. Or maybe Charlotte can arrive and start a feud.

The only positive thing I can say about this match is that Cameron isn't in it.

I do actually like Naomi. She isn't that bad in the ring all things considered. And even though it's playing to a really horrible stereotype, I can believe her ass is a solid enough weapon. I want her to take the belt from Nikki. The Bellas are more monotonous than a Kelly Kelly/Torrie Wilson tag team. I'm rooting for Naomi, but I'm not giving my hopes up. This heel turn is Alicia Fox levels of hype. Meaning they're turning her heel for the sake of the storyline to seem interesting- which means she'll most likely lose, just like Fox. Just glad she hasn't entered the Psycho Diva stage of the turn yet. Nikki to retain until we get Paige or any other female wrestler from NXT into the game. Fuck this lot we have now.

I agree with Dagger this will suck, as most Bella matches do. But what I want to know is what is the stipulation in this match?

I thought at Extreme Rules, all matches had to have stipulations attached to them, and I don't see one here and a couple other matches.
