Gone. For. Good.
We get another Reigns Vs Rusev encounter at Clash Of Champions for the United States Title.

I ain't really sure about who should win this match. Reigns needs to be away from Universal Championship for some time now. Reigns really needed to have a midcard title reign before that rocket push he had. I am all fine with either of these two winning the match.

But If Reigns wins, I don't know where Rusev goes from here. Both Owens and Rusev are heels so we can forget dreaming Rusev in the main event scene any soon.

So I guess It's 51-49 in favour of Rusev. If there's a Reigns' heel turn which I am highly doubtful of, then I could see Reigns winning the title.

This bout was made official last night and it's one that probably would have already happened if Lana & Rusev hadn't gotten married. They actually had two ceremonies: one filmed as part of Total Divas and one private, more traditional ceremony in Bulgaria among close family in an Orthodox church that dates back to the Middle Ages.

This is the one title that's on the line at COC that I feel 100% confident will change hands. In my opinion, this is the sort of spot Roman Reigns should have been occupying for the past few years because he wasn't ready for the main event. While he still does get booed a good deal, I think now it's morphed into "the thing to do" among fans at TV tapings or live events, much like we've seen with Cena over the years, more than anything else.

I can see Reigns having a strong run as United States Champion before ultimately heading back into the main event picture sometime next year.

They should make it the thing to do by turning him heel. If they'd stop half assing Rollins' face turn (he's just a douche now) they'd already have his replacement in someone people already cheered even when he was a full heel. Of course, I don't see a good way to do it against Rusev, but have him do it soon after this feud, win or lose. And frankly, I don't care if Raw needs faces. Elevate others if needbe. Reigns isn't cutting it as is.

I really don't care about this feud anymore. The hiatus Lana and Rusev took really sucked all the air out of it. A shame, because I enjoyed it when it was going.

Pretty much this.

Whilst I would love to see a Heel Roman soon, I think WWE has been pretty clear that isn't in their plans at this point as the guy is in a midcard title feud and still ending shows standing tall instead of those in the Main Event slots at present.

Rusev has had an ok run as champion, but I think Roman with the US title would be treated as a much bigger deal and also will bring more out of his opponents, ntm, his opponents could be both Face and Heel given the reactions he gets on a regular basis. Also, it would surely get him out of the ME scene for a while which is much needed at this point.

Was it really the hiatus of Rusev and Lana, or was it Finn Balor getting injured therefore Roman had to be rushed back up the card and ended up getting HHH, Owens and Rollins as direct foes alongwith the continuation of Rusev. Actually, how much of this feud really shows the value of the US title given Roman has been actively fighting for a Universal title shot? It's made little sense in the grand scheme of things.

Pretty sure that Rusev's time as United States Champion is coming to an end. And whilst it has been an utterly okay reign, it's time for him to give the championship to Reigns in an attempt to start building Reigns up once more. Let's face it, the guy has taken a lot of hate for what really wasn't his fault. To be honest, he's actually been a little more enjoyable lately since the WWE seemingly abandoned their faith in him.

Now is the time to start the building process over again and I'm fairly confident it starts by finally beating Rusev and taking the United States Championship. Whether it will be successful or not remains to be seen. But it can't go any worse than before, surely?

I agree, Roman hasn't been bad at all - in fact he's been involved in a lot of exciting matches since Mania. I really enjoyed the match he won against Rusev in the non-title match on the RAW before Summerslam. That match got a fair bit of hate from a few corners and I'm not too sure why.

Fact is that we've had a bit of the ADR treatment with Roman and the fans don't appreciate guys being pushed down their throats, no matter how many times WWE does it. Key difference here, is that Roman is over (in one way or another), whether the reactions he gets are what they really want or not. If the fans didn't care they wouldn't give him a reaction at all.

I can't see how they can manufacture a favourable scenario as a result Roman not winning this match. He's stepped down from the main event - Rusev has been a constant thorn in his side which he should now be able to deal with once and for all. I fancy Rusev to get in plenty of offense though, similar to the match on RAW. Where Rusev goes after this is anyone's guess though...

I agree. I can understand WWE not wanting to turn Cena but they can turn Reigns. Yeah, RAW has Zayn and Cesaro they could elevate. If also else fails, when KO turns he'll be huge.

I'd love it if Rusev and Reigns did a double turn. Rusev is so stale. The whole anti-American act has ran its course.

Trouble with Reigns heel turn is that RAW doesnt have much mainevent level faces. They wont elevate Cesaro or Zayn anytime soon(maybe Zane gets a shot at KO but they have been consistant in not elevating Cesaro) so you are left with Rollins(if you can call him face now because HHH betrayed him) and Reigns. With Rollins who soon probably starts his own program with HHH you can see why they need Reigns as face and established maineventer right now. Which is shame, all those sheeps who boo Reigns even when he has improved right now would cheer him as heel so you could safely turn him back in due time.

As for chances think a lot depends on Cesaro and Sheamus. Rumor is winner of best of 7 goes for US Championship so if Cesaro wins that it would probably be Cesaro vs Rusev. Though would be nice idea to go for Cesaro vs Regns and heel turn on Cesaro. You would pretty much elevate both of them on that way, Cesaro as huge face and Reigns as heel.
