WWE Capitol Punishment - WWE Title Match - John Cena vs. R Truth

I expect an average match, 7/10 on Cena winning and closing the PPV once again. I see bad things happening to Truth after this match however as there wont really be much for him to do if he doesn't get another title shot, but his gimmick he is in is one that will wear off eventually when it gets stale. I say Cena then goes on to squash Punk on his way out at MITB then have the rumoured showdown with Del Rio at SummerSlam.

R-truth should win by disqualification, as another fellow poster has also stated. This will give more reason/fuel to R-truth's frustration and anger. This would ruin his trust over the WWE system and his beliefs system would want to make him an outlaw from this current WWE system. He can easily go into the mould of talking about "Change" representing the holy cows of IWC posing questions "Is WWE forcing Cena on us?", standing up against Cena for any violation which IWC keep ranting about, etc, making R-truth a big arch-enemy for Cena. It can easily turn into a most unpredictable angle/story of all times. And i would love to see that with how much care and precision WWE treat this story.

While this match, and any match from now until the big events, seems like a filler, it looks like a fun match on paper. Truth was definitely the right contender for this as his heel work as of late has been fantastic. I see Cena winning in an entertaining PPV match.

I don't think R-Truth will win by disqualification or anything like that. I can see Morrison returning and costing Truth the match which will reignite their feud. Should be a good match and Cena will come out on top.

Besides Orton V Christian I'm most looking forward this match here. WWE has done a great job of hyping their top 2 matches this time around.

We know John Cena can go in the M.E. but the man to talk about in this match is R-Truth. Since turning Heel he has shown he can play with the big boys and is one of my favorite new stars in the Main Event Scene. I don't think he will win here due to JoMo interference but if he does I will not be disappointed.

^ No offence, but this isn't a CM punk thread. Stick to the point and please expand your answer next time.

Regardless, I'd say Cena will take it. It can go numerous ways:

A) Cena beatin Truth clean closing the show
B) Truth, close to winning when Morrison interferes and costs him the match
C) Truth cheating and losing by default

Personally I'd rather have Truth be winning against Cena and Morrison interferes but since Morrison's out on injury they should keep it till Summer Slam. If they decide to end it here with Cena and Truth, Cena will go over clean if not, there's gonna be a via DQ thing.

The obvious choice for the closing match. Truth has done a fantastic job with his new heel character and finally looks like a legit title contender. I think Cena will still come out victorious but Truth will put up a good fight because it will put over his new heel character as being a significant threat to the title. I am expecting a fairly good match out of the two and I am looking forward to it.

DAGGER'S PREDICTION
John Cena will retain the WWE Championship

Many of us weren't exactly sold on the prospects of an R-Truth title match on PPV, but with his flat out bizarre, surreal and strangely entertaining mic work over the last few weeks he's done a great job in getting a lot of people interested to see where this match and angle are going. I see the chances of Truth winning here as about 1 in a 1000, but hey, crazier things have happened. Most likely Cena wins clean though in a decent match.
