WWE 2K16 Thread

From the way you laugh afterwards, I get the sneaking suspicion you said that with your tongue planted firmly in your cheek...

Its makes it so for the first 4 or so grapples you do, you literally cant do anything other than small chain grapple mini-games, IE headlocks, wristlock, quick-go-behind etc etc etc.

As if in Madden for the first series of the game you could call nothing but run plays up the middle, or in NBA 2K you could not perform any dunks, alley-oops or 3 point shots for the first 4 possesions.

It was to make it "simulate a real match" more.

Anyone who has seen Marty Jannety Vs Ludvig Borga at SummerSlam 1993 will see why I took great umbrage with this.

.....inside joke that not a single person will remember.

Was this just a PS4/XBOX ONE thing? I haven't encountered this on PS3.

And had I, it would have been pretty boring.

2K15 was terrible. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I always enjoyed 2K14 though. The 30 years of 'Mania was pretty sick (nostalgia and all that) but the "replay Cena vs Punk and HHH vs HBK rivalries" the year after is the most boring game mode in all of the WWE games I've played. You just basically do the same thing until one of them finally wins clean. I always thought the next gen version would be better but it just seems like the graphics was all that was to credit for the most part. It was their first WWE game from scratch though so I guess mistakes were bound. I'll give 2K16 a go and I hope they've listened to the criticism.

Please let them have a set of legendary referees such as Joey Marella and Dave Hebner. Hell, let's throw in Nick Patrick as well.

The old WWE Raw 2 on the original xbox let you choose the ref and the refs actually counted faster than each other/had their own personalities. Still the best wrestling game I've ever played

Go on, what is better than it? Pretty much everything that is in the games these days is in that game. Remember I'm also adding childhood nostalgia on top of the game.

And if you're going to say No Mercy, I've never played it I was not old enough to be aware of the N64 being a thing, I was too entertained by my father's super nintendo.

It had PHENOMENAL concepts, but the execution of all of them was woefully shallow and unintuitive.

Both WM2000, No Mercy, and every SVR game ever released were better, along with the Smackdown games of the PS2 era.

If this is the game I'm thinking of that had a co-op "career" mode if you wanted and let you attack your opponent as they were walking down the ramp then it's definitely an underrated game.

I'd be down for having some refs to pick between. At least that would add some realism to Universe mode.

Pretty sure I know I'm getting rid of 2K15 already. There's nothing worth keeping it for when the roster people I cared about having are going to be on 2K16.

Yep thats the one

Hogan removed for racism. First person I see on the gameplay trailer is Michael Hayes.
