Wrestling is Fake? Who woulda thunk it?

I was youtubeing some wrestling videos yesterday and I came across alot of wrestling videos showing how wrestling is fake and how everyone who watches it is stupid for not knowing. They say "I have proof that wrestling is fake, I TOLD YOU!!!11!!!!!11!". There was even a documentary showing the "Wrestling Secrets" that they don't want you to know. Honestly I think this is ridiculous. Just because we watch wrestling, doesn't mean we think it's real. We are not stupid, we know that in reality, a couple of punches would knock you out, a chair shot would give you a concussion, and going through tables and what not would result in broken bones. We know all of this stuff, but we also know that it's ENTERTAINMENT. Plus saying wrestling is fake is far from true because these wrestlers do perform legitimate moves, some do actually bleed, and some do get seriously injured. I just get upset when these "geinuses" claim that they finally proved wrestling is fake and proclaim to the world what they found.

Anybody have any thoughts on these kind of things?

Some wrestling is not as fake as people thing.I have seen people stapled in the tounge and have real lighttubes broken over their backs.I have seen people thrown into barbed wire and cut wide open before.People suffer legit injuries in wrestling. And it is not fake when somebody is lifted in the air and droped hard on their backs and heads. These stupid idiots who think they know everything, putting these videos and stuff up,don't know too much at all.

The ultimate retort for those kinds of people who say wrestling is fake:

Chris Benoit's head never would've gotten all messed up if it was fake.

I hate it when people say "Omg lololz u watch wrestling itz fake!!111".

They just can't seem to appreciate just how much skill it takes to execute a wrestling move and make it look legit without severely hurting your opponent. Owen Hart vs Stone Cold is a perfect example of what can happen just by a minor miscalculation. That botched Piledriver shaved off years of Austin's career. Chris Benoit is another example. His brain wouldn't have been as messed up if wrestling was completely harmless and fake.

Saying wrestling is fake degrades the talent that these superstars have. A better term would be to say that wrestling is planned or choreographed.

"LOLZ U FOOL ITZ FAKEZ"

It must be if a wrestler ends up killing his wife and child

it takes extreme skill for people to wrestle.and i have seen people get hurt badly wrestling.its not fake.Benoit is an example.

This is what I'm talking about. We all know what wrestling is and you guys brought up a good point, wrestling is scripted and choreographed not fake. Also, just because they don't mean to intend to injure does not mean they go easy in the ring. They do work stiff sometimes and there are some very serious injuries that happen. It's not easy to be a wrestler either. They have to learn how to take bumps and perform moves. If a random went in the ring thinking it's easy to wrestler they would get killed, fact. It just aggravates me sometimes when people don't think.
