WrestleZone Debaters League

You get a rookie next week. They have their first matchup so we will see how FalKon does coming into the final week in New Jersey.

I'd love to see an updated scoreboard. I know it's tough getting the judging caught up and that it is a tough and thankless job, but I wonder where I'd be. I haven't had a single easy week. At all.

I'm not going to be able to debate tonight. My moms being a huge doucher. If at all possible, can I get an extension into tomorrow? Or Pheonix make the opening arguement?

I just calculated something up here, on existing points, Ill give you what your winning percent is. Remember, this will probably change, I am only going on who has the most points at this moment.

It is only to give you an idea of what the playoff picture will be at round 5. It is not set if 4 or 8 debaters make the playoffs.

I must've read this a million times and it still isn't clear to me... "Submission finishers: Any place for them as a wrestlers only submission?"

I'm completely confused about this debate subject... just to clarify, I'm debating that a wrestler should have a submission finisher, as well as a finisher that isn't a submission? And I'm guessing that means that LJL will debate that a wrestler should only use a submission move as their finisher?

I think the question asks "is there a place for wrestlers who use strictly submissions as finishers?" For example, if a wrestler was a true grappler and used an ankle lock and a camel clutch as his two finishers, but rarely got a pinfall victory because he didn't have a high impact, pin inducing finisher, would that wrestler have a place in today's product?

It's like Chris Benoit with ONLY the crossface and without the top rope headbutt. Or Jericho with ONLY the Walls and without the codebreaker or lionsault.

It's actually a facinating topic, and I'd love to get a chance to debate either side.

Wow... Im in the main rankings for the first time. It's time to step up even though there isn't much weeks left to impress.

Ok, that makes a LOT more sense. But I do not agree that this is a good topic. Now, if we were to argue which is better, a high-impact finisher or a submission finisher, I would have a field day with either argument. But debating that submission finishers don't have a place in a wrestler's arsenal as their sole finishing maneuver? It's ludacris and completely one-sided.

I do not like this topic one bit.

I kind of like my topic and already started typing my argument, but I feel as though there needs to be some more clarification.

One Night Only: Who would make the better one last night apperance? Bret Hart or The Rock

Franchize1990 is the home debater, he gets to choose which side of the debate he is on first, but he has 24 hours.

Remember to read the rules. This thread is only for the debaters.

This round ends + 24 hours after Friday 1:00 pm Pacific
Would this just be a one night appearance, like guest hosting a show or would they just be showing up like some legends do occasionally, except this time it's only one night?

Do you think you could explain it because I feel the topic is a little vague. Basically, what I want to know is exactly what they would be doing if they were to return for one night only?

I just need to know because I think I came up with some great points and I want to make sure they are still part of the topic.

I think it's pretty clear, they're are coming back only once and will never be seen again, probably going to Mars or something. I'd suppose they could be doing whatever you wanted.

Did I do the right thing and open the debate even though I picked ZT white to go first and he didn't reply after 24 hours?

Hey Milenko, if you read this, could you let me know if your able to post first or not? If not i'll post first tomorrow.

I should have posted properly in the Debator's League when it first came out, this is fun! I have a lot of ground to make If I want to advance into anything near the finals since the latest list puts me so low.
