WrestleZone Debaters League

Debating for the LOD thriving in WWE/F is bullshit, whoever got stiffed with this was obviously set for a loss, they were in WWE/F for 3 years, no wonder I've got no motivation I'm fighting a losing battle.

Never admit that your side of the argument is worse, you'll never win. You have to make yourself believe that you are 100% right, even if you aren't

I love The Road Warriors. Sigh, I'd hate to be in your shoes though.

I'm a fan of the Road Warriors don't get me wrong, but I'm really meant to argue that they thrived more in the WWE/F? Forgive me if my posts take a while, I'm struggling to get any motivation.

The judges understand the differences in the debates, and we do not judge on which side actually wins, and you will have a harder time debating, but on who debates better.

Easy for you to say you got Hogan. I've tried to convince myself, but I'm finding it hard, i'll give it my best shot anyway.

I know but I've got a timespan of 3 years, 2 title reigns and a shitty ventriloquist gimmick to argue for, it's hard to give a quality debate in this circumstance.

In my first debate I didn't get the side I wanted, but I came up with enough arguments to win.

Think of it this way. The judges know about the Road Warriors, and we know what points are available. that means you have less to work with yes, but you can stay narrow and to the point.

Sigh...I really think you should revise the way your judging system is. Instead of having all 5 judges judging each debate, you should have 4-5 diffrent judges for each leauge. If theres just not enough judges, then you should have 3 in one leauge, and 3 in the other.

They only judge their leauges debators, that way only 3 judges have to judge one debate, then you've got extra man power, because seriously I can see the problem in ready 10 long ass debates, in one week. Someone as critical as Marquis, and Tdigle, will read the debates over and over again, until they finnally come up with a decision, they fully agree with.

It would speed the process for us, take a weight off your load, and just make everyones life that much better. I can assure you, everyone is anxious to see the judges, and you guys are way too far behind, this could speeden the process, 10 fold.

We are looking at the issues. I want a wide base still, to ensure important aspects are judged.

1.) The topics are fairly looked at by a broad spectrum of judges.

and

2.) The debaters are less likely won off of one judge.

The judges are catching up however. Echelon and Marquis has other business to attend to. I never made it so the judges had to finish in a weekend, that is ludicrous. Within a day, I am sure all judges will be done the first round, as well as Tdigle and myself are almost finished round 2.

Yes, but at this rate, the judging will be done in 20 weeks. While the debates only last 10 weeks. No offense to Echleon, but he has way too much personal shit, to be a fulltime judge, and be expected to read every single debate, and judge. If you want 5 judges to have a very broad opinion on the outlook, thats cool. But you need more than 5 judges, to do that. With your few numbers, you simply need 5 judges, collectively (sp?) having to judge 3 times. This lightens the load on you all. Theres too much work, and reading. For you guys to be as critical as you need to, while judging in a decent amount of time.

Milk, it's not like Ech hasn't judged. He's doing the best he can. I'm sure the first week will be finished before this one is out. But just think about how much has to go into judging given the size of everyone's posts in this, even TM and tdigs don't always post up straight away because of how much of a task it is. If you want a clean and fair ruling, you want them to give the right amount of time. Would you rather they rush and basically give 5-0 verdict to just one person? Personally, I'm happy to wait for now.

Plus getting a result later on gets a nice break when a current debate seems abit stressing, as it has been for some guys this week!

You've completely missed the point to what I was saying. TM needs more judges the way hes doing this, or he needs to split the amount of judges and lessen the number of judges that have to judge per debate.

Who cares? It doesn't really affect you at all except for that fact that you won't know if you won or lost until a few weeks after the debate. Stop whining about it.

Folks, this is the third incarnation of the Debate League, and by far it is the best and the most organized. Now, the Cigar Lounge team wants to run one of their own for non-wrestling debates. Clearly, this is working, and if the timeliness of judging is the biggest issue we have with it, then it's doing very well.

I just replied to Milk, i'm starting to feel a little more optimistic despite a probable loss. I've already given the punctuality point and the informative point will surely go to Milk as he has so much info & promotions to work from.

anyway i've got a bit more motivation back and hopefully might score a few points.

This is what I've wanted for a long time.

SK, I really love your stuff mate. You seem to be heating up, and I am sure that in the end of the season, your name will be one that is high up.
