Wrestle Kingdom 11

Bucks just lost their belts.

I feel like one of the three major factions is going to exit tonight without any gold. So far CHAOS cannot be that group. Perhaps it will be Bullet Club?

Killiam has posted a good preview on the main page.

Most excited for Naito Vs. Tanahashi & Omega Vs. Okada.

The LIdJ team just took the NEVER 6-man straps, as that set of belts continues to be hotshotted. BC is now the only major NJPW stable that could go home without gold, but they still got a couple shots with the Guerillas defending, and Omega in the main event.

Pretty standard predictable performances so far.

Cole just took the ROH title back from Kyle. He's the first three time champ. This seems to indicate that Kyle is gone from ROH.

The match wasn't even in the same universe as their Final Battle match last month.

This show hasn't been bad, but hasn't really gotten off the ground yet either. So far all three championship matches have been title changes with five more title matches remaining.

Why would Cole regain the title soon unless Kyle is going to leave RoH?

Bobby Fish isn't going anywhere though.

Papa, I've read somewhere that Kyle is NXT bound. I always thought WWE would grab him with Fish, but I cant say I'm sad. He has a Connor McGregor vibe. If only he could talk smack...

Yano and Ishii join RPG Vice in bringing tag belts to the CHAOS side from the Bullet Club. Classic Yano thievery.

No New Japan gold in Bullet Club currently, but Omega could still change that.

The junior title match is underway now.

I'm saying Hiromu takes the belt, Goto beats Shibata, Naito and Okada retain, and at the end of the night all of the gold will be in CHAOS and Los Ingobernables.

You know about NJPW more so I would like to ask if interference is a factor in the main matches of Wrestle Kingdom?

Prior to Bullet Club, almost never. Occasionally though Bullet Club has caused some fuckery. But that would NEVER happen in a major title match at Wrestle Kingdom.

Goto wins "the big one"(despite the fact he's been IC champ which is higher stature, hello Dolph Ziggler).

So far 6-for-6 on the title switches. If the two big belts get retained, my predictions from earlier will also be correct.

Naito retained. Now all members of LIdJ have New Japan gold. The singles title matches have been great. Time to see if Omega/Okada can top them.

Cody vs. Juice was good. Cody's heel work is very much on point now. More than ever before.

Main event was outstanding. Semi-main was top drawer too. Goto/Shibata was about as expected and while I very much enjoyed Takahashi/KUSHIDA, it wasn't some sort of classic like some would/will herald it. Also loved Corino losing it during the triple threat tag. Those Tonga boys have got some sailor's mouths on them.

As always with NJPW, it isn't as great as the pedestal some put it on, but it provided the goods for the most part.

Very fair review from someone who admittedly doesn't follow the product that closely. The honesty is appreciated as opposed to going full expert mode for something you watch once a year.

As was said in the comments on the review, the storytelling is there, you just have to look for it. New Japan's long term storytelling, and patience with developing angles and characters blows WWE's out of the water, but I can definitely understand how the big matches lose some of their luster among fans who just pop in for WK every year.
