For a woman I love and am not married to, no. For a woman I am married to and have a family with, yes.

For my country, only if someone that I considered honorable could give me their word that ending my life would directly help save the lives of others.

For direct family members, yes. For extended family members, no.

For a complete stranger, I would not die for them if I knew that interaction with them would lead to my death. However, this would not rule out me dying (unaware that I would die) whilst helping a stranger by being a good samaritan.

--I've never been madly in love with someone, so I don't know. Probably, though.

My country?
--No. Do your job and PREVENT war first before you start asking me to blow myself up. Naturally, I give a little respect to the people that have (unless they were the type of people that would've went nowhere in life and they just went into the military because they had no other option; military or starve to death due to being a failure) but I would never sign up for that.

Family member?
--Honestly, at the moment, no. It may come off sounding kind of conceited, but most of my family members are much older than me and its foolish to do something like that. Justify how it makes sense to throw myself in front of a bullet for my 61 year old obese father who can't even pick up change that he drops. At the age of 21, I have much more potential than everybody else in my family and I still have decades left to live.

Complete stranger?
--Hell no. For all I know, you could be a horrible, horrible human being.

Would you die for your country- Yes. As long as I got to tell my loved ones goodbye, and to have a good life.

Would you die for a familly member- Yes. Almost everybody in my family means so much to me that I would die for them.

Would you die for a complete stranger- No I would not. I have had no interaction with this person, and for all I know they could be a murderer, or child molester. Why should I sacrifice my life for someone I know nothing about?

I'd try avoid dying at all costs, but if that is the only option than I would willingly walk into death for most of that list.

In all honesty, I probably wouldn't die for anyone. Having to deal with the pain of living without someone you know, is far better than not living at all.

As far as the stranger question goes; I think people actually need to think about this question before they say they would. Thousands of people you've never met die every day, yet you are going to give up your life to save one of those people? Give me a break.

i think it is in terms of you are in a room with the individuals in question and someone comes in and is going to kill someone, in terms of each of the people and thing on the list would you say jump in front of the bullet or fight them and get stabbed or whatever just to protect them.
