Would Tyson Kidd Progress Better As A Heel, or Face?

I was watching NXT today and as you may know the NXT's last taping was in Calgary, Kidd's hometown. Now of course Tyson gets the huge home field ovation, cheers and "Tyson Kidd" chants really work well with his appearance.

Kidd isn't much of an established Heel, but that's not his fault. Who, in the undercard level, can get him over as a heel? Definitely not Tatsu or Berreta. If he was promoted to the middle card, maybe a feud with Gabriel or D Bryan would do him some good.

I believe the best and most effective route to go for Kidd's career would be to turn him face. Undersized Heels can't really get over because they're the underdogs and that's not a good thing to be if you're a Heel, which is why Mysterio wouldn't work well as a Heel. Kidd once played to Face role while teaming with Harry Smith, but he couldn't get over in a Tag Team.

I believe if Tyson Kidd was a Face, it would really jump start his career. What do you think? Should Kidd stay Heel or turn Face? And if you think he should remain a Heel, why?

Well, if he turns face what heel does he have a feud with? Heath Slater? I would pay not to watch that, thank you.

Tyson Kidd isn't that good of a heel and he isn't that good of a face, he was a good face with Smith and Bret by his side, but that was because he was standing next to the son of the beloved Davey Boy Smith and one of the greatest WWE Superstars of all-time in Bret Hart, it's kind of hard not to get over when you add those two together. Tyson Kidd's greatest accomplishment as a face was winning the WWE Tag Team Championships, his greatest accomplishment as a heel is actually becoming the most pushed performer on NXT; a show not even mean't to push him, but yet he features more than half the rookies, if not all!

Tyson Kidd, whether he be face, heel, tweener or some other convolted alignment yet to ne determined, has one large, evident problem which everybody knows about. He can't speak worth a shit! He can't cut a promo. How is he supposed to anything when everytime you see him his expression isn't even determined, he looks bored. He never speaks. WWE need to hand him a manager again as a mouthpiece.

I feel sorry for Kidd. He has a lot of wrestling talent; I see a thread comparing him to the late and great Chris Benoit which made me laugh. I though it was originally an insult to Benoit to be frank - Kidd is good, nowhere near THAT good, but until he learns how to open his mouth and have coherent sentences flow from his vocal chords, he's kind of screwed either way.

The problem is that his promos still need work and faces often depend on promos to get over. It's actually easier to be a heel, most of what they have to do is attack people and run off if someone challenges you. Tyson can do that and much more. He can back up what he says in his in-ring work, but he could go on as a submissions specialist who lets his wrestling do the talking for him. The more they let him showcase his skills, whether he be face or heel, the more likely he will be to climb up the card more. I would keep him a heel for now though because he is better suited to be one. Or perhaps he just needs more practice on the mic. If he earns more fan support after a heel run then he could try out being a face, as more fans would be behind him by that point and he could work on promos more. I think he'll be fine.

I believe that it is just a matter of time before WWE dumps this guy. I seriously find him boring. Unless the cruiserweight division would be revived, he isn't much of a use. He isn't even a "Hart" family member.
