World Heavyweight Championship match: Sheamus (c) vs ????

So it seems clear that Sheamus will have a WHC run soon. I really hope they change his look before it happens but that's beside the point. He will be champ and I honestly hope the one he beats is Sting. That's just a wish of mine to see Sting beat Rollins under the circumstances but I don't want Sheamus to cash in that night. I'd like to see Sting go 2-1 on a defense before the cash in. I agree Sting should not have the title for more that 1 or 2 months but let him have a short reign. He is also that perfect transitional champion for Sheamus to beat. So who next? One would assume Orton would feud with Sheamus but I know my wife would kill me for saying this, I hope Sheamus' first title defense is Brock Lesnar. It is a match I don't mind seeing. Who else should feud with Sheamus the moment he becomes champ?

Before Sheamus got injured and left, he had a brief feud with Rusev during which he lost both times. I'd like to see him defend against Rusev first.

Just don't give Sheamus the title in the first place. He's good but not near good enough for the main event scene. If you insist, give him a transitional reign so he can drop it to Lesnar.

no way for Brock hold the title again now. I strongly believe sting wins the belt at noc and hold the belt for at least one month. HIAC is best place for sheamus cash in and win the title from sting. this going to be perfect time for roman to became wwe champion. people definitely behind roman because no one likes sheamus. I don't want roman wait until wrestlemania. royal rumble is perfect place for him. at wrestlemania we have shield triple threat for wwe title.

as for as sting he come back at royal rumble match. both undertaker and him had a stare down at rumble match. next night on raw he told only thing remaining in his wwe carrier is to wrestle against undertaker at wm.
as for as taker I don't want taker vs lesnar III. lesnar claims he made taker tap out and taker claims he defeat lesnar. the story ends.

I'd rather him fail. I'm not a big Sheamus hater and actually think he brings a lot to the table, but his momentum has been rather...lackluster. His Orton feud never caught fire and I personally would've preferred he won the IC Title at Elimination Chamber.

But if he did get the belt...I dunno. I don't want another part-time Lesnar reign so quickly. I can't think of any opponents who would excite me right now. Cena? Cen-it. Reigns lost his momentum. Bray lost his momentum. Owens lost his momentum. Ambrose never really had it. Who else is there?

If Daniel Bryan returned, then it would be cool if he dethroned Sheamus- if he gets the belt.

I see Sheamus becoming champ next summer, probably cash in after the Payback main event(that should be the time when Rollins passes Punk's record).

I could see Reigns vs. Rollins as the big feud after WM 31, Reigns beats Rollins but Sheamus cashes in and Sheamus and Reigns feud through the summer. Meanwhile, the release of TMNT 2 takes place before MITB so Sheamus has the WWE WHC title on the red carpet like how they wanted The Rock to have it for GI Joe.

I don't think Sheamus has enough momentum or is over enough right now to be the Champion. I don't think anyone really wants to see him with the title, but they've stuck him with the MITB briefcase so he's going to have to make his challenge sooner or later.

If Rollins loses the title while Sheamus still has the briefcase, I'd like to see them write Sheamus off TV for a month or 2 with an "injury", then on his return I wouldn't be against seeing him change his look again slightly and join The Authority, with Triple H altering the rules of the MITB contract, allowing Sheamus to extend his cash-in time due to his "injury". It just freshens up the MITB contract angle.

However, I still think I'd have him fail to cash it in...I just don't class him as main event talent, but he's Triple H's boy so it's likely he'll get another title run.

I don't see them giving Sheamus the strap at this point in time or in the near future. WWE has two options; they can either wait for Sheamus to try and gain some momentum before having him cash-in, or they can just scrap the obvious original plan, and just have him fail in his attempt. They can't give the belt to a guy who the fans just won't warm up to. Sure he elicits mostly boos when he comes out, but the crowd is rather dead the remainder of the time he's out there.

If he does win within the next couple of months, it should be as a strictly transitional champ. As for who his first opponent should be were he to win at NOC... I would go with... fuck me, I have no clue. Ambrose? Lackluster title feud. Reigns? Too early for him to lose a World title match again. Seth would most likely move on to HHH. Rusev's a heel. Nobody wants to see Sheamus/Orton again. Cena just had a damn title match, and I highly doubt Sting loses a match to Sheamus. Maybe Brock, but I'm strictly only into that for the match. I don't want to see Lesnar constantly thrown into the World title picture every time he returns.

Just doesn't make sense to give Sheamus the strap right now, and I pray that they don't at NOC.

I remember reading a couple of months ago about Sheamus being rumored for a title reign. It seemed unlikely, especially after watching him lose decisively to Dolph Ziggler the same day. Sheamus seemed to be going nowhere since his return.

But after watching Sheamus go over Randy Orton cleanly at the PPV, one had to figure that something was up, right? The result surprised me and watching his victories since then point to Sheamus reaching main event level once again. Whether that means he'll win the title.....or just contend for it.....remains to be seen.

Should the fella cash in and win the world belt, I think they're going to keep him heel, so matches against Rusev or Kevin Owens are unlikely. Maybe we'd see a good guy Seth Rollins or Brock Lesnar, but if it is Brock, that match would probably end with Sheamus losing the title, although it might be a fine match to watch because Sheamus has the body to take Brock's punishing style.

Sheamus vs. Sting? Can't really see it; Sheamus is a roughneck, not only in persona but also as a worker in the ring. I believe the company wants to keep Sting in with people like Triple H or Seth Rollins, guys who know how to work an effective match without killing a man who's near retirement.

I really don't want Sting to beat Rollins and I really don't want to see Sheamus as WWE champ but if he has to have a title feud why not have him cash in on Rollins while he is defending against Lesnar and have Sheamus pin Rollins, this pisses off Lesnar as it is the second time it has happened, then at the next PPV Lesnar squashes Sheamus, injuring him in the process and Lesnar carries the title till the Rumble when Reigns wins it.

Why not have someone challenge Sheamus for the BRIEFCASE? Cena did it with Ziggler at TLC 2013. Why not rehash that story except that Sheamus actually loses the BRIEFCASE? Sheamus is a stiff worker perfect for the MID-CARD. He got his shot at the Main Event and just didn't stay interesting. There's other guys better suited to be carrying the briefcase.

When he cashes in it'll probably be as The Authority's new guy, so I assume his first feud will be with newly turned face Seth Rollins. After that however, I imagine Reigns, Cena & possibly Ambrose would be the next few in line, I could also see Brock somewhere down the line after he's done beating Taker to death, a returning Daniel Bryan is also an option, though they may want Bryan to work with guys that work a less physical, hard-hitting style.

Sheamus vs. Brock would be a great match but Brock would probably win and we do not need a part time champion again. Sheamus will cash in and win the title during HIAC when Sting defends against Seth. This is when the Corporation sends Sheamus out to make sure Seth or Sting do not leave HIAC as champion. Sting holds the title for a month, Seth turns face and starts to feud with HHH and Sheamus faces Dolph or Cesaro at Survivor Series.

If a Rollins/HHH feud is scheduled for Wrestlemania, i wouldnt be suprised if Rollins got the win over Sheamus when he cashes in to really establish himself. Setting up a triple threat with Sheamus/Rollins/Someone getting a push before RR.
