World Cup: Germany vs Australia

This could end much worse really if Australia doesn't fix something soon.

Germany has always struck me as the kind of team that is legitimate to both loose in the quarter finals, and to win the whole thing.

Yeah, but I wouldn't even be surprised if they got thrown into a hard group where they got thrown out in the group round, or as I said, legitimately they could win either way.

Didn't they go all the way to the finals in 2002? or was that the 2004 European cup?

Lahm and Urzel Gummage are picking Aussies apart. I haven't seen an Aussie team beat this badly since England won the Ashes.

Germany could very well be a force to be reckoned with in this world cup if they keep up the dominance of this.

Beaten finalists in 2002 when they were shit and semi finalists in 2006 when they were even shiter.

They reached the final of Euro 2008 but didn't get out of the group stages of Euro 2004

I think they did half decently in the 2006 world cup.

I was surprised with the European cup in 2004, fucking Greece, and The Czech Republic caught me off guard during that time.

Czech Republic kicked Denmark's ass 3-0, it's like our loosing anthem, we make it to the quarter finals, and then we get beaten 3-0, happened in 2002 as well, in 2004, we haven't been in an international tournament since 2004 because we couldn't qualify, that's how badly we suck.

And sorry, but the Netherlands are going to kick your ass tomorrow.
At least that's what I hope..

I didn't expect teams that I thought as "nobodies" would get that far against teams like France, Spain, Italy and England, well I was fucking wrong :(

Don't apologize, I know they are, I'm rooting for the Dutch people as well.

I just noticed, Denmark and Sweden was in group with Italy in 2004, I remember we screwed them over SO badly by ending our match in a 2-2 draw, that's all both teams needed to proceed in the tournament, then Italy would've been gone even if they won.

Ohh, then we're good.
I would love for the Netherlands to go far, but you never know.
They had bad luck so often and I really don't want to jinx them :x

And even worse, Greece and Portugal (finalists) were in group together, god that tournament on the card was awful, good matches, but the card was so awful.

I don't recognize many of the Netherland players, they don't have my favorites anymore: Nistelrooy, Seedorf, Stam, Van Der Saar.

2004 was also the year where Jon Dahl Tomasson could play, he hasn't scored for the national football team in 2 years.

Ugh, I know. Van der Saar not being there still hurts me.
But Stekelenburg is okay, he plays for Ajax after all.. so I like him.

And Kahn is pretty much dissing the Aussies right now.

I've been watching. Got distracted by Fallout so I missed the second goal but it looked amazing.

So far, I think besides Argentina, Germany have really been the only team who actually gone all out attacking at least, not afraid to take risks. Is it me or are most of the World Cups been too cautious so far?
