Workout Routine/Diet

"THE FIERCE ONE" MIKE W

Occasional Pre-Show
I'm looking for a good workout routine and diet that will add muscle, burn fat, and will boost my metabolism and stamina.

Right now I have muscle but I'm trying to gain more. At the same time I'm trying to lose fat off of my body.

Does anyone know of a good workout routine and diet that would give me the results I'm asking for?

there is gonna be a workout thread in the "F'n Bar room" soon enough bro. check back tomorrow. Or ill PM you when we have it up and running

Best thing to do is to make an appointment with a personal trainer. They measure your arms, thighs waist etc and will make a workout programme suitable for you e.g if u suffer from back/joint pains. They will take you through various equipments and show you the right way to use them and normally check on your progress every 6 weeks then a new workout programme is drawn for you. There are 3 stages, when you are done and should achieve target or get closer to your desired weight or figure. if you are working out atleast 4 times a week you will be able to see results after 2 months. Supplements before workout also helps.

What i noticed is that most people at gyms arent paitent enough. They give up after 2 weeks of trying coz they dont see results. u have to be reasonable here as it took u time to gain weight so it will take you time to loose them. Also warm up for about 10 mins before working out, as ur muscles are like rubber bands. If u try to stretch a cold rubber band it'l be hard to, but if u take the same rubber band, warm it a bit and then try stretching, u will be able to stretch it further then a cold one.

You'll also have to cut down on ur fatty food and eat atleast 6 fist size meals a day. your body will burn them faster opposed to a large meal as what the body cannot burn them all and is stored as fat

Have a protein shake after workout as it provides food for your muscle. Notice sometimes u come home from gym and feel sleepy, now u know why. Hope this helps

Be motivated

don't bother. there's plenty of widely available information on the internet. My advice would be...

- decide on a goal, you can't reduce fat and gain muscle without steroids. People will disagree but it's fact. To grow you need to be in a calorific surplus, to lose fat you'll need to be in deficit. Trying to lose weight and gain muscle is like trying to fill a bucket of water up while cutting a hole in the bottom

- train with weights 3 times a week, focus on the big compound movements... squat, bench, deadlift, rows, chins, military press etc... things like curls and other isolation exercises won't get you far

- sort your diet out, eat good proteins, good, non-refined carbs, low trans fats. Supplement with whey protein, nothing else at the beginner stage is necessar. Make sure you get 6 or so protein sources a day at around 30-40g protein a pop

-pre WO, have a nice meal with slow burning carbs and a protein source about 9 mins before training. post WO, have a protein shake with some simple sugars in, so that the body can replace its depleted glycogen stores. What your body needs most after a workout is actually sugar, THATS why you feel drowsy or tired after you work out, not because you need protein.

- Don't worry what anyone else is doing in the gym, do your own thing, stick to it, eat and sleep right and in time you'll make good gains
