WOAH! Brock and The Undertaker almost get into at UFC 121 (video inside - legit)

It's more than likely bullshit, but that would be pretty cool.

The fact that Taker actually allowed himself to get interviewed out of character amazes me. It was so weird to see him all normal.

Personally, I think this was just Taker screwing around with Brock Lesnar, with the fans, and with the IWC. This match will never happen, especially if Lesnar is planning to continue his MMA career. Vince won't be pissed off about it, a little free publicity for the WWE to its targer demographic.

At most, this could , I guess, lead to a Batista/Taker feud. Batista has been talking the talk regarding MMA, but has not followed through and likely won't. A returning Batista could challenge Taker, saying that Taker disrespected the MMA world by calling out their former champion in the heat of the moment. Other than something like this, I think the interaction meant nothing whatsoever.

WWE's target demographic is people who watch UFC? This is news to me.

And yet another Batista/Taker feud? Not interested.

Lesnar/Taker would be fucking sick, but there's no way it would happen. Unfortunately nothing will come of this most likely. Still a really cool moment though.

Not necssarily people who watch UFC. A predominantly male audience in the 18-40 (approximately) age range. Don't even start with the nonsense about WWE being only geared to children due to the PG Era, this is quite simply an IWC generated fallacy.

Me neither. Didn't say I wanted to see this happen but rather, simply a way that the Taker/Lesnar (WWE/UFC) "showdown" could be incorporated into a storyline.

Would be absolutely sick, if Lesnar was fully committed to doing it properly. But his last match in the WWE didn't instill any confidence in me that he would follow through properly. And if he's only going to phone it in, only go through the motions, like he did with Goldberg, just for a one-off big payday, I for one would not be that interested.

They do market to them, but that isn't their target market. The target market is younger viewers.

Well, that was interesting. But there is no way that White will let Lesnar wrestle again, and there is no way that Vince would be willing to work with UFC, the company that's eating away at his PPV buys.

Noah, if the WWE and the UFC were to have a show together (not gonna happen, but still), it would be HUGE. Vinnie Mac would be all over that shit.

If WWE and UFC were to do a super show together that would be a big slap in the face to TNA seeing how Spike is one of the UFC's biggest sponsors as well with TNA

I don't know, Angel. I think it would be more of a pride thing with Vince. He still thinks that nothing can kill WWE after him buying out WCW. He knows TNA isn't a threat. I don't think he realizes what a threat UFC/MMA in general is to WWE.

Quite interesting. If you watch the Dana White interview you really get the feeling there might be a work here. There was no reason for white to be talking about "heat" between himself and Lesnar there.

Lesnar was staring him down as he was leaving. Taker's not that much of a prick to just pick on him after a fight. Notice Lesnar didn't say a whole lot to him after that either.

And yea, Vince isn't saying anything to Taker about that. All Taker has to do if Vince says something is "That's fine, Vince. Have fun finding a replacement for me at Wrestlemania."

So yea. No big deal. But awesome nonetheless.

On a side note, I don't know if Taker and Lesnar were about to come to blows or not, but I do think that would be one interesting fight. I mean, Lesnar would kill him, but it would be fun to see if Undertaker would do his trademark situp after getting punched out.

I'm not so sure about that, for two reasons:

1. The Undertaker's fake fighting striking is still more technical than Lesnar's real striking, not to mention the reach advantage 'Taker would have.

2. 'Taker is supposedly incredible on the ground, even Dana White has said so. 'Taker's a legit black belt in BJJ under Steven Williams (who is a black belt under John Danaher/Renzo Gracie), and with those long ass legs... I wouldn't be surprised at all if 'Taker could catch Lesnar in a triangle or armbar were they to fight.

If you can't tell this was a real incident, and not a work, I don't know what to do for you. Why would WWE send Taker, the KING of kayfabe, to a UFC event to go after Brock? He's in the middle of a fictional feud, with his fictional brother (who may, or may not be a demon?). They have a PPV 24 hours after the Lesnar-Taker situation. Taker, the 'dead, demon guy' is there with his non-kayfabe wife, who mind you, is also a wrestler.

How in the hell does this being a work make sense to anyone? If you really look at how it all went down, take all the facts into account, I'm not sure you can possibly see anything besides two men who just don't like one another.

The interviewer had some awful questions. Are you a fan of this sport?

..Ariel Helwani is one of the most consistent and respected mma media men...

Some mma fans are just as ******ed as some wrestling fans sometimes. They're saying that Vince sent Taker there to try and get Lesnar to come back for Wrestlemania. Even though Taker has been going to UFC events for years now.

I still have trouble believing that. I mean, I'm sure Vince would love for Brock to come back even for one match but saying he made Brock and offer...eh.

I'll I saw was Taker and Brock had some heat, Brock was walking out and was staring at Taker and Taker wasn't going to bitch out. This isn't a WrestleMania match or a work or anything. These guys just had a problem and Taker wasn't going to be punked out.

I was reading on another website that 'Taker and him had heat because 'Taker put Brock over a lot but he never returned the favor. I doubt that even if it's true they had heat, 'Taker wouldn't still be mad about it today.

Anyways, I do find it a little odd that 'Taker did the interview but I don't think this is a work or anything like that.
