WM 29: Tons of Fun & The Funkadactyls vs. Team Rhodes Scholars & The Bellas

According to the main page, WWE has added this match to the card. As of right now, this match is being advertised as part of the WM main card rather than the WM pre-show that'll be shown at WWE.com and YouTube.

I predicted this match would be added to things. Personally, I hope that this match will be bumped to the preshow. Generally speaking, I think it'll be relatively quick & painless. As to who wins, can't say that I care at this point in time. But I do think the heels will come out with the win with the Bellas doing the "twin magic" crap on one of the Funkadactyls while the rest of the action has broken down.

This is JUST EXACTLY what this card needed!!!

Not. I sure do hope for the reaction this match is going to get from this crowd. the heels may get the biggest pop of the night.

Depressing.

Hopefully they give this no more than four minutes, five at the most. To think, The Road Scholars were a serious threat to Team Hell No months ago, and now they have this. Sweet T is more entertaining as a comedy character than Lord Tensai, though. Without Brodus and the Sweet T character, I'm 99% sure Lord Tensai wouldn't have a spot on the Mania card this year.

Sweet T, Brodus, and The Funkadactyls pick up the win, and well, I guess WWE needs an excuse to get the Bellas out there for the male audience to drool over (and The Funkadactyls too, I guess). Taking another bathroom break, or grabbing another slice of pizza during this for sure.

This is an awful Mania match. There is no way that this should be on the actual card. With 10 matches already it is a pretty squeezed card and this match is unnecessary. If this gets moved to the pre-show, which is should, than I can see team Brodus winning. If this stays on the Mania card than I actually think that Rhodes Scholars winning.

I'm happy that Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow got on the WrestleMania card, but it's a shame that THIS is the match they have to be in.

As much as I wanna see The Rhodes Scholars take it, I see the wannabe Too Cool and the Funkadactyls winning. You know what that means? All the kids hop in the ring and dance alongside them at WrestleMania. I wouldn't be shocked if this match didn't even make it to the 3 minute mark.

It looks more and more like poor Antonio Cesaro will be facing Zack Ryder on the Youtube pre-show. Shame.

 

[The Butcher]

Easily the match of the night. The IC title snoozer should be on the pre-show, and this should be the palate cleanser in-between main events.

Okay, well, maybe it's not a match of the night contender, but it's going to be on the main card for two reasons: no other Diva's contest and the Bella Twins have friends in high places. Frankly I don't mind it one bit. I don't understand why anyone would bemoan this. I know it doesn't have the zip of a Snooki match or the pizazz of a MGK concert, but it's good, old fashioned, fun wrestling. Give it 5 minutes, let the guys and girls earn their paychecks, and if you're too much of a snob to enjoy it, take a piss break and make a sammich.

 

[FunKay the Inevitable]

In fairness to this match, I think it's going to be a fine buffer match to keep the crowd going between the main matches. It's hardly the worst thing that they could've stuck on the card and hey-ho, I like three of the four guys wrestling in this match and Tensai's been far better as a comedy dude than overly evil Japanese wrestler. This shouldn't last long, it'll allow the crowd and viewing public a much needed bathroom break and it shouldn't be any worse than some of the filler we've seen in recent years (Corre at Mania 27 and Flo Rida vs. MGK feat P-Diddy spring to mind). As for a winner, give me the heavy dudes. WWE seems set to push Brodus and Tensai as potential tag contenders and this would do them some favours getting to that point.

So we have an 8 intergender tag, 6 man tag, and a normal 2-on-2 tag match on the card? Sounds alright.

Anyway, with The Bellas having just returned, I can't see them losing this one and getting their momentum killed. The Bellas have been hot since they returned and I think they are gonna be in line for a big push in the divas division in the future as them two, AJ and Kaitlyn are the only divas anyone actually gives a crap about these days. I see the shitty one of the Funkadactyls, Cameron, taking the fall here due to some 'twin magic'.

Not into this match at all. I am not sure who could really be into it. I hope it is bumped to the preshow, and I hope they at least give The Rhodes Scholars and the Bellas the win.

This match isn't making it to the main card. And why shoudl it really? None of the players involved have done much over the last year. Cody Rhodes managed to get on three Mania's in a row in relatively well built up matches. He was undeserving, he's fallen down the card and correctly so.

Now poor Brodus Clay. Now that man should be WWE's main moster heel. It's that poor bastard I feel sorry for.

WZ just reported that Diddy will be performing at WrestleMania 29, so it looks like a match will be bumped off the card and be on the pre-show, so it looks like this match will be chosen as the match that gets bumped so that Diddy can perform...

This match might be the match that doesn't make the card come Sunday. It's going to be nothing more than a wonderful little time killer match. It's going to be slotted right after one of the big matches on the card, thus, no one will remember it, and the crowd is going to shit all over it.

There really isn't much to say about this match. The Bella ****es are on the card because of who they are sleeping with, make no mistake about that. They're back in time to get a Mania pay day. Rhodes and Sandow deserve to be in the tag title match, but being on the card I suppose is a consolation prize.

My Pick: Rhodes Scholars and Bella ****es.

I think this will absolutely stay on the main card. The rest of the matches have that "serious" bend to them, and I think this would be a great way to kind of calm everyone down, either before or after one of the big matches. Regardless, Tons of Fun is winning and this won't get more than 5 minutes. Poor Cody. We all thought he would be in the middle of a title run by now.

There isn't a match on the card I care about less. I'm picking Tons of Fun, but barely. Rhodes and Sandow's whole break-up and reunion has been pointless -- they deserve way better than that. I can't imagine they'll stick around as a team after WrestleMania, so they'll probably be fed to Sweet T and Brodus Clay here. Honestly, Tons of Fun are actually a decent team. Tensai and Clay have a nice little thing going, and I can see them moving on to face the tag champs soon (Ziggler and Langston, probably). The ladies almost pulled me in favor of Rhodes Scholars, because the Bellas just returned and WWE probably wants to push them, but they've had the upper hand heading into 'Mania and I don't think WWE is all that concerned with making sure the Bellas are over. With the way that division is, they could lose all their matches and still get a title shot.

Tons of Fun for the win here.

 

[The Eighties]

This is the piss break match they'll put on between either Brock/HHH or Punk/Taker and Cena/Rock. The keys here are just to give Naomi a cool spot and then do the little post dance stuff with the planted kids.

I'm gonna be the guy to throw a shot in the dark and say Kharma is going to come back and freak the Bellas out to give Funk the win.

Not a fan of this. Could have added the two teams to the tag title match ad added even more depth to it. Probably be a quick match but who knows.

 

[Dagger Dias]

Yeah.... not all too interested in this one. Rhodes Scholars could just as easily have been given another shot at Team Hell No for the giant pennies. This match is probably going to be used as a break in between two of the bigger matches. I can see it going on next to last, following one of the high profile matches such as Punk VS Undertaker or Trips VS Lesnar, with Cena VS The Rock following it going on last. I plan on using it as a time to go to the kitchen for a snack. I'll be in the mood for some candy by the time I've finished my stuffed crust peproni jalapeno pizza with extra peperoni.... So the question is should I go for the Raspberry flavored M&M's or the Berry Gummies? Then again it's Wrestlemania, I might just grab them both.

Oh, right. The match. I think Brodus and Tensai will win, unfortunately. Rhodes Scholars can't seem to make up their mind on whether they are splitting up or not, and the inclusion of The Bellas when Cody is supposedly having feelings for Kaitlyn still makes me wonder if she may cost them the match if she doesn't get added to Team Hell No's match or if some type of argument will happen between Cody and Sandow that could disrupt their focus and make them lose as well. Brodus and Tensai winning and doing another one of their silly dances provides a moment of comedic relief in between the more intense matches and gives those of us who don't care a chance for a brief break in between the action.

This is one match I really have no idea what may happen. Maybe I'm not as invested in it like the other matches and maybe I should cause the Bellas are back LOL. I'm going to say Team Funk for the win with Naomi pinning one of the Bellas. I feel like they reunited Rhodes Scholars just to break them up again. Which I would be fine with because both Cody and Sandow would be great on their own especially Sandow.

Well another example of a gigantic "who the hell cares" match. And to make it even worse, this match IS on the main card while the IC championship is on the pre show *facepalm*. This is just a filler match that could be avoided in order to give more time to a match like Taker/Punk. It's another excuse just to see Brodus Clay dance and not for the actual match.

Who wins, probably the fatties, but once again, who the hell cares?
