Why Zack Ryder Is A Future Star

Ryder reminds me a lot of Miz when he started. Very cocky character. I wouldn't doubt if before long he gets a push and acts upon it in the same way Miz did.

i agree 100%

zack ryder can cut good promos and he can work good matches.

his youtube show has been praised by the miz, john morrison and john cena. his youtube show also gives zack ryder a fan base as well.

if zack ryder gets a push he will no dobut be the future of the wwe.

It's funny because I heard today that Cena has appeared on Zack's youtube show so I checked it out, It was so good I watched all the last 8 episodes and I regret why he's not a creative member in WWE.

I agree with OP, but I think you'd better put " potentially " before future star.

He has all the tools as you said. He only needs to be used correctly which can be difficult, but possible.

All you need to believe in his potential is to watch one of his youtube series episodes. They're so awesome that he could get John Cena on the show. It's obvious that Cena is trying to get him pushed. I even argue that he's also the most over undercard superstar guy right now in WWE. He's more over than Masters, Yoshi, Primo, Regal, Kozlov, Hawkins and the other divas. If you'd paid attention enough you'd observed that the reaction he got during his backstage segment at WM was pretty much loud.

I just hope that WWE don't make a mistake and release him. One can assume that after producing Miz's hype up clips they've learned that someone with an awful start like Miz can be the next big thing. Zack is just like that.

An interesting aspect of him is that he truly knows how to produce a classy show. Z! True Long Island Show is not like millions of absurd youtube shows which in untalented people try so hard to put an a show.

He has true talent and I think if he's so ill-fated to be released in upcoming spring cleansing, he'd try his chances outside of action soap opera because he knows how to entertain.

Zack Ryder? Really?? I don't see what is so great about his wrestling abilities, but that doesn't matter. I'm sure there is a couple in the IWC who thought Batista was great in the ring. But I digress.

Truthfully, Zack is type-casted in the WWE as the comical jobber. If all of a sudden he starts winning matches, it'd really make the mid and upper cards look bad. They'd all be losing to the modern Brooklyn Brawler.

Nobody (except for the two or three people that HHH mentioned) cares about Zack Ryder enough to spend their money for a PPV he's in. He's not going to be selling tickets either. He's just filling dead air and keeping wrestlers winning.

In order to break this stigma, he needs a change of environment. I think a couple years in TNA would do this guy good. He could argue when he got there that Vince and Triple H were holding him down there. Then he ditch the WOO WOO shit and just call himself "The Broski" (if the makers of My New Haircut don't mind). A couple solid years out of there would probably break his stigma and he could return to action in the WWE.

So, to cap it up, future endeavoring Zack Ryder would be the best career move for him.

The only thing i'd change about this topic is the "is" part. He SHOULD or COULD be the next star but I don't see it happening. The only push he got was when he was part of Edge's stable. He is a good wrestler and I personally enjoy his gimmick. I'll take it over the stupid Robbie E shit on TNA. He could work both ways as well; as a face or as a heel. I found it embarrassing how he got a WWE title shot and lost in 3 seconds to Sheamus. Its like really? He could be a star but the crowd doesn't get into him. I think if you built him up he could be a solid mid-card champion but I can't see him going main event.

I agree with pretty much everything the OP said.

I'm a big fan of Zack Ryder and I enjoy his youtube videos.

The guy has a great look, great mic skills, good wrestler. He can go places if WWE lets him.

I think alot of haters out there are judging Ryder's gimmick, rather than judging Ryder. No this gimmick won't sell tickets, but Zack can.

Honestly, who would pay to see The Ring Master, Rocky Miavia, Deacon Bautista, etc. The list goes on of talented people in bad gimmicks. If Zack gets repackaged on Smackdown, he can go along way.

IMO he needs to re-team with Hawkins and bring the rocker side of him back out. After that they can split and feud and have real gimmicks.

Back to a generic rocker image instead of what he's doing right now? No way. What he's doing now may be goofy, but at least it's different. He's a fun guy with a sense of humor, and that's part of the reason they guy is slowly but surely finding some supporters. This non-personality he had when working with Hawkins wouldn't find that support. He could still be a goof and win some matches.

He is loyal to the WWE and to the mission and path they have him on. It is obvious loyalty to a company pays off in the long run, as evidenced by many of the long-running stars in the company who haven't left, like Kane and Mark Henry. Staying loyal is important, and it is a trait Ryder carries.

Yeah that worked out great for Bret Hart

I think Ryder is talented and can do more than he is given, he is funny, and entertaining.. why they are not pushing him more goes beyond me.

I think people need to realize a cheesy gimmick and him "paying his dues" or however you want to say it can be a great thing for him this guy is trying his absolute hardest to get himself over and wether you want to admit it or not, its working seeing the fact we have nonstop comments and posts about him wether you like him or not. His youtube videos are dorky but hilarious and its working, people need to remember The Miz was hosting the diva search and messing up his words and getting booed on Raw years before he became what he is now, Morrison used to be Johnny Nitro on Raw he was Bischoffs little bitch. So before we say he has no chance of getting over lets remember those 2 guys had NO FAN BASE and with the right situation turned it all around, yes ECW helped but theres no reason a good smackdown run and/or storyline could change alot.

Or maybe I just miss hearing his theme song on actual television... or then again, maybe I got caught up in the Z! True Long Island Story but if you ask me, that youtube show is WWE's answer to get Ryder over. Maybe get him to start a rivalry with Morrison (where he completely buries that talentless buffoon) and after that see if he can fit into the IC/US title pictures.

I'm not going to be delusional and say Ryder can make it in the Main Event, but he definitely has the tools to make it as a solid mid-carder on a Curt Hennig level... only not as ring savvy.

People are going to bitch at you for making another Zack Ryder thread, but I completely support it. I just watched the most recent episode, with an "appearance" by John Cena. His show is hilarious. The dude has so much personality. It's a shame he's stuck jobbing to Khali on (the now defunct) Superstars.

I saw someone post 2011-- the year of John Morrison. Absolutely not; it's the year of the broskis.. WOO WOO WOO

There are no more mid-carders in WWE. WWE can only focus on one feud at a time and have lost their ability to multitask. Sure, we see some glimmers now and then but Vince is more concerned with whose T-shirt is selling than who put on a great mid-card match on RAW/Smackdown.

Please don't tell me you called Morrison talentless..... sigh..
Anyway, yeah, thanks for making the 2,457,487th Zack Ryder thread of the day.
Yes Zack Ryder is underrated.
Yes Zack Ryder deserves to be pushed.
Will he? Only time will tell.

Hahahaha did you guys see the part int the new episode where he is climbing the fence to try to get "over" :lmao: This guy is a stud please WWE push him soon.

Zack Ryder is quite possibly the most overrated guy right now by the iwc. If anything hes gonna be on the future endeavored list. I dont see the hype you guys give him. its really sad if you see this guy as a main component to the future of the WWE. If thats the case the E is going down quicker than a hooker on christmas eve.

Ok I'm in too this is just too funny. Partnership For A Woo Woo America. I gave up on the guy when he switched to normal tights from his unique ones but these videos have me in the Zack Pack because his material done by himself is funnier than the what the WWE writers give to Santino

Ryder really deserves to be pushed. I also think a lot of the superstars can come up with awesome promos if given a chance and not forced to read from the scripts prepared by creative.

He's annoying, he's not funny and he has the charisma, but that doesn't mean he's good at using it. The WWE needs to change his stupid gimmick because if he has the potential I don't see it with his current one.

Your absolutely right. We in the IWC need to stop complaining about wrestlers not being original. Now one of them is original and he's getting killed for it. It's not like Matt Hardy's videos, these videos are actually funny, Ryder trying to climb the gate but can't and he keeps saying i'm trying to get over, His father dressed in John Morrison drag, Cena finally shows up for 5 seconds, Scott Stanfords rap <----- which was pretty good. The guy has something working for him why people gotta hate.

I love seeing all the talk that Zack Ryder is going to be Future Endeavored.

Of course, just last month, I kept reading how Triple H was going to put his career on the line against the streak, so I try and ignore the trumpeting sounds of parroting.

Here's some facts, or as factual as they can be in the age of the Internet:

1) Zack Ryder is on tv. Superstars was still a show, and while not Raw or Smackdown, it was at least televised. It continues to play on YouTube.

2) Zack Ryder was at WrestleMania. He may not have had a televised match, he did get a backstage segment where he got to interact.....sorta...with a Legend.

3) Zack Ryder had Cena, Miz and Triple H on his YouTube channel. And I don't want to hear "Triple H buried him" nonsense again. Triple H is in on the joke, about Ryder's lack of push and his Zack Pack. You don't think the Head of Future Talent Relations doesn't see the potential of Zack Ryder? He even says so in the video. John Cena even tweeted to CeNation to visit the channel. And yes, while brief, he does appear. And it's PERFECT in keeping with Ryder's show!

4) As of 9:00 PM EST, Zack Ryder enjoys 14,364 unique subscribers to his YouTube channel. No offense, but don't you think in some venues the WWE would kill to have 14,000 warm butts in seats?

5) Zack Ryder has 6,500+ fans on his Facebook page. This isn't even a WWE sanctioned page. This is all Zack Ryder's promotion of himself.

6) He pushes WWEShop harder than any superstars this side of DX themselves.

7) There is a Zack Ryder action figure coming soon!

He may never hit main event status, but he could certainly hold the Intercontinental or U.S. Championship in his tenure.

I think Zack Ryder could be a very good personality to have on the main show. I wouldn't mind him actually being a tag team with Primo on Raw as I feel both men can put on a very good match. I think that when they decide to start using him again it would be very good. I think he is doing the Miz and Cena routine by really promoting the WWE. If he was to do more live events and more autograph signing things then I could easily see him getting the strap.

Hahahaha did you guys see the part int the new episode where he is climbing the fence to try to get "over" :lmao: This guy is a stud please WWE push him soon.

I thought that was hilarious, all of his videos are good.

Hopefully HHH recognizes the talent this guy has and gives him a push.

love his videos, and shows his brilliance.....guy isnt waiting for WWE to come to him, he has used social networking to his advantage and soon enough WWE will pretty much have no choice but to give him a respectable push, he is getting comments left and right on his wall by the hour on his you tube channel asking for him to be pushed, WWE will soon take notice no doubt about it

I agree. Ryder has amazing talent and could really succeed if given the right opportunity. I think he could even make it work with his current gimmick. As bad as it is, he's made it work. I can see him sort of taking over the Edge type role in the future if they push him right.

Zach Ryder is not good and wont ever be. The video posted is actually a good wrestler(Shelton benjamin) Making him look better than what he really is. See what saying how wwe treats black wrestlers and to think they had Shelton jobbing to a non talentless guy like this is just beyond me.
