Why do you think MMA talent is jumping ship

So Both TNA and WWE as well as ROH have been getting a lot of MMA fighter any reason why I mean we hear how great UFC is and How it better then WWE then how come most of their fighters are jumping ship?

How are most of their fighters jumping ship? TNA had Frank Trigg, the same Frank Trigg who was no longer with the UFC because of a string of losses. He didn't jump ship, he was already overboard.

If anything it's wrestlers jumping into MMA. It's currently more popular, less time away from home, more pay etc. If Lashley & Lesnar can make money in that sport then why not give it a go. Wrestling would always take them back.

Ok you miss the point if UFC so perfect why do every MMA fighter want to go to a other sport

Like who exactly?

As far as I'm aware all the big stars in MMA are happy where they are. I've heard no rumours of Chuck Liddell wanting to become a Cricket player, Fedor wanting to try his hand at equestrial riding, Rampage leaving MMA to concentrate on his phallic pottery classes.

If anybody wants to get out of MMA it's likely to be the ones who are going nowhere.

Ken Shamrock
The Person who made UFC
And many other names

Get with it Chico. He started with WWE in 1997 and left in 1999. I'll do the maths, that makes you at least 9 years late.

Along with the simple fact that he left WWE to go back into MMA, where he still is to this day.

Ken Shamrock played a part in the UFC, but he hardly made it what it was. If it's somebody from his era, y'know that time when the company wasn't making any money and was banned in most places, you could go with Dan Severn & Tank Abbott.

So you've got me there, both went into wrestling. But both also left wrestling to go back to MMA. That's not really happening now that UFC is a bigger sport than WWE.

So who wants to move sports now? After all, fighters moving 10 years ago isn't really a good argument.

Start reeling off names, then. Shamrock was already a pro-wrestler WELL before he ever stepped foot in the door at Titan Towers. The only reason he left for the WWF at the time was due to the UFC's lackluster paydays and the guaranteed draw he'd have from a wrestling contract. I have no idea where this thread is coming from or where it's supposed to go. Mr. Yuck stickers are a must in every household, though. Dig it.

You could go with the likes of Royce Gracie aswell I mean he was the UFC 1 and 2 Champion winning over Ken Shamrock, Kimo, Dan Severn, Gerard Gordeau among others he was the face with his agressive nature and ground game. Back on subject Ken Shamrock left on a high and when he came back, the sport skipped him, he had a harder chance to win because when he left to go to the WWE the likes of Randy Couture and Chuck Liddell, Tito Ortiz and Vitor Belfort came into the picture and overlapped his skills.

The reason why the MMA fighters in you words are "jumping ship" is because the grass is greener over in the pro wrestling world and its a huge source of income for many of the performers involved in WWE, TNA and ROH. They may also want a different job to work at even though MMA and wrestling has a few similarities. The MMA fighters may want to experience what its like combining acting with wrestling and also learning different types of wrestling like Luch Libre and mat wrestling. Theres all types of reasons to why an MMA fighter may want to go to a wrestling promotion like i said earlier, the grass is much greener over in the pro wrestling industry

I think the question to ask is why do WWE and for that matter any pro wrestler join MMA?

For a sense of pride to know that they are legitimatley the tough person they say or act like they are, for a sense of purpose that they are willing to go toe to toe against some of the world's elite athletes.
