Why Do People Like Seth Rogen?

Vaughn's not bad. He does tend to play the same guy in every movie, but at least he's better at doing that than Rogen. His characters are believable and sarcastic funny, where Seth is at the point of just getting pity laughs now because he's such a boring troll.

Will Ferrel, for the record, is the funniest man in Hollywood.

Anyone from that cast of SNL actually has talent IMO—Ferrell, Farley, Sandler, Carvey, Hartman, Spade, Kattan, etc.—albeit some with significantly less (like Kattan, Spade, etc.)

And the thread comes to a halt. What an easy list of vanilla comedians. I'm surprised you didn't include Mike Meyers either.

Seth Rogan makes comedies for his audience...the stoner/slacker demographic, and for the record the main reason why peoople hate guys like Ferrell, Cera, and Rogan, polly has more to do with that fact that they blow up so quickly and are in som many movies at once, that you just simply burn out on the quicker, all 3 are good comedic actors

I think the whole Apatow Crew is overrated, but in term of who sucks the most ass, Jonah Hill takes the whole cake. Seth Rogen's actually not that bad. I hated Knocked Up, but he was pretty good in Funny People and Observe and Report is one of the best comedies to come out in a long time.

I was reading yesterday (on Wikipedia) that one criticism of Jimmy Carr is that he only designs is jokes to get roars of laughter and could care less about their context or meaning.

Well, fuck him for doing his job and being hilarious?

You also hate home security, so your opinion means jack shit.

Seriously, you're gonna be the pathetic dick hole that stalks another guy on the internet?, really?!?

seriously stop trying to bait me into a fucking flame war, it's not gonna happen, I'm not that flame happy asshole everyone wants me to be anymore, I grew the fuck up, and realized that was pointless and got me nowhere, I suggest you do the same thing

From an evolutionary standpoint, your version of "grown up" is absolutely useless since you seemingly can't do fuck all to protect a pregnant woman.

The only time I have cracked a smile at anything Vaughn has done was in Wedding Crashers and that was more to do with him getting the shit kicked out of him by Bradley Cooper in the "touch" football game and then shot in the arse

I thought he was hilarious in Wedding Crashers. I think part of his appeal is how fast he can speak while saying funny shit. Also, have you ever seen "Swingers"? Aside from those assholes calling each other "baby" every other word, the movie is pretty fuckin' funny.

I don't stalk you, you just come out of nowhere these days and be all like "IMA ANGRY GUY CAUSE THIS ***** BE TRYING TO KILL MA LOVE CHILD, YO."

Don't know the back story about that one, but to me that was a cheap shot. Don't matter the circumstances, it's still unwarranted if I'm getting the basic idea here.

Nice to know that you can say whatever you want in the Cage without fear of reprisal.

You know, the whole purpose of the thing. The Staff are scared of the Se7en, and are looking for any opportunity.

Horrible. Better than Jonah Hill and Michael Cera though, yet still manages to piss me off. Yes, as a grown man I can get pissed off at a movie. Let me do me.

Whoever said Galifianakis isn't funny needs to drown. Very funny minus The Hangover. I think the hype surrounding that movie and the fact I saw it way after everyone else and had to hear them talk about how good it was left me so damn disappointed.

Movie's starring Seth Rogen usually turn out to be fun and entertaining. Not necessarily funny, but definitely good movies. For instance, I loved both Knocked Up and Funny People, even though I didn't find either one to be gut-busting hilarious. I would have to say the same about Freaks and Geeks and Undeclared, too.

Observe and Report and Pineapple Express are the only two flicks where Rogen had some genuinely funny moments.
