She gained weight and stopped having good matches. It's as simple as that.
that substance Vince felt was Cheeseburgers....Substance abuse.
Or, as Scott Steiner put it...
And yes, Scott does think Mickie is a "he".

I would've axed both of them as soon as they got backstage after that one.
I have yet to discover the point of this.
James part of the Impact Wrestling show which had recently moved to Sunday nights on Challenge TV debuted in WWE in 2005 and participated in arguably the best angle in women's wrestling history with Trish Stratus.
The storyline peaked at Wrestlemania where Mickie won her first major title, but contained a controversial moment.
Mickie, whose character had developed crazed lust-like feelings for her opponent and rival, touched Trish's crotch and provocatively made a gesture towards the camera insinuating lesbian intimacy.
WWE boss McMahon was unhappy and ordered the gesture be edited out of future DVD releases.
Speaking on SunSport's award winning Wrestlecast podcast, Mickie recalls: "The only people that remember that are the people watching or who were there live and in person. It didn't make the DVD.
"I came back through the curtain and Vince was really mad. In the moment it had seemed amazing to me. I thought 'Vince will love this'.
"'Crass' was the word I got. He didn't like it at all. He told me 'We're going to have to go back and edit that out. Do you know how much time (this will take)?'
"This was my first Wrestlemania, my mum was in the audience, I'm freaking out already. I'm back through the curtain and I'm already in tears and an emotional mess. And I got yelled at."
The six-month long storyline was hailed as a major critical success and a rare opportunity for the WWE Divas to have a focussed programme such as this.
From Mickie's point of view this praise is all the more sweet given that he concocted the original idea before being called up to the WWE roster.
She said: "I wrote this storyline of a super crazed fan. I originally wrote it (with) Lita (in mind) because I knew Lita pretty well. I really didn't know Trish.
"Then I heard that Vince had read this idea I wrote like 18 weeks of TV and he really liked it.
"Michael Hayes pulls me aside and says you need to go and talk to Vince. You need to remind him you wrote this.
"I went into his office and said 'I heard you read the storyline that I wrote and that you liked it' and he was, like, 'yeah'. I said 'I wrote this character and I know this will be great if you give it a shot, and nobody can play it like me.'
"He was like 'That took a lot of guts, I really appreciate that.' I left that day and sat in OVW for another six months!
"But then they called me and said 'You're going to debut at Raw'.
"I had no idea what I was going to do, and they started filling me in.
"It wasn't the 18 weeks I'd written I didn't write lesbian tendencies or anything like that but between Trish, myself, the writers, Vince and Stephanie it became this massive idea."
ALL SMILES ... TNA stars Mickie James and Magnus with Sun men Joel and Rob
Mickie, along with TNA star Magnus, joined Wrestlecast hosts Joel Ross and Rob McNichol for a near 50-minute chat which featured many interesting anecdotes about both wrestlers' careers. Here are some more highlights:
Mickie on being released from WWE: "It's like a revolving door. They had talent they are waiting to bring up from FCW.
"It was no different to when I was in OVW. They have to let go of so much talent to bring new talent in.
"The day I got released I was actually in Richmond promoting the shows. I was saying 'Hey, everybody, we're gonna be here this week, it's my home town, yadda yadda yadda.'
"As when I was driving home from the radio studio and that's when I got released. I got a phonecall from my boss saying 'we're changing the direction of the Divas division.'
"It was one of those things. It is what it is. No-one lasts forever."
Mickie on diving from the top of a cage in a TNA match with Tara: "It was terrifying. I suggested it earlier on in the day and I was like 'Oh, maybe I'll dive off of the top of the cage. That seems like a good idea, right?'
"They said 'Are you sure? It's pretty high up.' But I said 'yeah, it's fine'. And then you get up there and it's a lot further than you expect it is. It's pretty frightening. It's the first time I'd been on top of a cage, and it's about eighteen feet."
