Who's Going to Shine This Year?

MrAnderson123

Occasional Pre-Show
Last year in TNA, it was all Bobby Roode, Austin Aries and Bully Ray. No matter what people say, those 3 people carried TNA through 2012.

Now that 2013 has hit, who is going to be the main people that carry TNA through another year? Just until they get rid of a few people :disappointed: and can finally get the ratings up. :D

I would like to see Taeler Hendrix more. I think shes unique and can do a lot for "Knockouts" wrestling. Shes one of a handful of talents I think is best suited for TNA. Maybe its just cause she's a Masshole like me. But I like her.

Obviously no knockout will "carry" TNA but I would like to see her pushed.

Maybe magnus will come back and continue his push and he could maybe have some great fueds and title runs etc and he could possibly be one that carries tna this year granted some work needs done but its work that can be done

Aries is the safest bet.

The other usual suspects will continue to be major players throughout 2013- Roode, Hardy, Storm, Bully, Kaz/Daniels, Joe, and Angle(if his health holds up). Anderson and RVD could still always play apart in the mix, but I suspect both have seen their final days as true TNA main eventers/world title contenders. Hogan and Sting will continue to get their usual large share of the spotlight too.

The other guy I expect to rival Aries as the main focus/success carrying the company in 2013? The old stand-by... AJ Styles.

I think AJ will get a big push through the summer/fall and get the same "retribution" treatment that Hardy got this past year. I expect AJ to win the BFG series, and win the title at BFG.

Hopefully we will get the AJ/Aries program that we haven't gotten since Aries' return to the company.

Someone in the X-divsion; like York, King, or a returning Sorenson or Sabin may be darkhorses to drastically improve their standing in the company as well.

Morgan is another guy that could get another push to the top of the card before the year's out, just to once again show how ultimately uninteresting he truly is.

Also don't count out a major impact being made by an outsider that hasn't entered the company yet- some potentially marketable Indy talent who enters via Gut Check(like Brian Cage for example) or via the Destination-X tourney if they bring it back. Or possibly a surprise WWE releasee who still has the capability to draw.

This is the year of Kenny King, IMO. The year the X Division makes something of a return, as he slowly but surely builds himself up, potentially culminating with him cashing in an X Division championship at Destination X 2014 (not this year).

I also think this is the year AJ Styles makes it back to the top of the ladder in a completely new gimmick/attitude that will shock fans. That promo he cut before walking off talking about how he was done being TNA's janitor should prove to be a pivotal moment in his return to (Heavyweight) championship gold.

Austin Aries is a safe bet but he's pretty much shined since he came to TNA.

I agree with IDR in that this will also be a year in which AJ Styles drags himself out from mid-card limbo to become one of the top players in the company. With the way he "left" TNA when we last saw him, and him being unable to challenge for the TNA WHC until BFG, Styles coming back, getting back on track and possibly winning the BFG Series is a real possibility.

I'm still not sold on Kenny King. It all might depend on what TNA does, if anything, with the X Division this year. He'll be solid on the roster I'm sure, but if TNA goes the same route, he'll just be another X Division guy like Ion or Kash.

This could also be a good year for guys like Storm and Daniels. Storm has been damaged, in my opinion, with the stop & go pushes he's gotten from TNA since going single, but he has all the tools & the popularity to be there. With Daniels' defeat of Styles and finally moving on from the feud with him that would never end, Daniels has the potential to make some big waves in TNA this year.

I'd love to see Bully Ray have some success. He has an amazing look these days, much better imo than his old WWE look as Bubbah Ray Dudley. (apologies for mentioning WWE in a TNA thread)

He is great on the mic and proved it throughout 2012. he portrays his heel persona so well, and works well with pretty much anyone he is fueding with. His programme with Joseph Park/Abbyss last year was great. I think Bully deserves a place as a heel Main-Eventer.

I'd like to see some guys brought up from OVW like Mohammed Ali Vaez, Jamin Olivencia, and a tag team called The Elite (Adam Revolver and Ted McNaler) and see what they can do in TNA.

For guys that are there already, IDR said it best in Kenny King. That kid is going places as he has it all. His in ring talent hasn't be fully developed yet and is still growing. His mic work is decent and improving every time he talks, and finally, TNA NEEDS that huge bust out guy in the X Division again. Kenny King could very well be that guy.

My dark horse pick is Matt Morgan. He has the size and the potential to be a dominant Heavyweight Champ when he dumps Joey Ryan. I think they could build him to have great feds with the likes of Bully Ray, Jeff Hardy, and James Storm.

It needs to be Aries. He can have great matches with anyone on their roster. Give Him the strap and let him feud with guys who can go just as hard as he can in the ring and on the promos and just watch a legend begin to grow. I'd say have Samoa Joe going as a new guy at the top (even though he's been there before). They finally turned him back into a monster and I'm loving every second of it. Last but certainly not least give RVD one last run with the belt towards the end of the year seeing as how he wont be around to much longer and is still capable of putting on good matches.

Last year's breakout stars were some what unexpected pertaining to Ray and Aries, so for my prediction I'm going a bit outside the box considering in 2011, Bully Ray was still with Devon and Aries was leaving ROH to TNA. So my picks for a possible trio of guys who lead TNA...1)Jeff Hardy 2)Kenny King 3)Matt Morgan. Jeff is already atop the company so more than likely he's not taking a dive, Kenny King is the most prominent x-division competitor in the company with Zema Ion as a close second, IMO. Matt Morgan should be receiving a BIG push considering he just came back and has looked unstoppable, the TV title should be a minimum for him, as he has THE POTENTIAL to challange for the world title as he's done it in the past with appropiate build.

I'm gonna say AJ Styles, I think they did that angle where he can't compete until Bound for Glory for the World Title for a reason. Either... a) Heel Turn or b) They are gonna do the whole angle where he crashes then builds his way back to the top of the ladder. Mark my words, AJ Styles is headlining Bound for Glory 2013.

Another worthy mention being Bully Ray, who I'm willing to bet hes turning Heel again before the end of the year, I'd be very susprised if he doesn't

I get the feeling that they will Drop the ball with Bully Ray, and I dont know why I have no hope for "the right thing" to be done in TNA. But it seems to be the TNA thing of late.

Bobby Roode MUST stay at the top for this year, and their should be another feud between him and James Storm before then.
My expectation is that surely they are going to push Matt Morgan up the card, after his cryptic messages suggesting he was going to WWE, TNA must have been looking at building some hype for him before bringing him back and slapping him into the Title/Aces and Eights picture.

And we can't forget about AJ, Kurt and Double A - Austin Aries.
