Who Will Edge Drop The Title To?

i think Edge will keep the title till WM, but Matt Hardy has been performing excellently. he can become main event material with the right storyline, etc. Hardy and Edge have great chemistry and their feud would be great. also Hardy is way over with the fans too, and he is a major babyface on Smackdown.

i think as far as MVP goes, if he was made champ, it would be a Nitro scenario, where MVP is given the title too early. they should build him slowly to become a bigtime heel on Smackdown, and let him have the US title for awhile longer.

i think EDGE will keep it until mania and finnally main event mania and he will face Taker, they would have a great match and not only would it be a title match it would be the loser loses their mania streak.

I think Edge might drop the title to Kane at the Great American Bash. The match has already been confirmed. This might finally be the big PUSH that Kane deserves ever since being the WWE champ for a grand total of one day. I hope Kane wins the title.

ye i really hope Kane wins it too. he can make a great champion as the big red machine we have come to know. Kane has been so wasted over the years. it would be cool if he were to come back with his mask on in dt match n go bak2da way he was before he took the mask off.

ya, now im guessing it will be kane, b4 i thought it would be MVP cuz Matt is getting a slow push, i think maybe only next year he will become main event guy, though he does deserve it, but needs to work on his mic skills... though that didnt stop lashley lol

anyway, ive wanted kane to be champ for sooo long, hes awsome, obviously hes not as cool as masked kane, man he rocked back then, that first blood match with austin was awsome, great build up too, but kane still deserves a title reing longer than 1 day =/, but.. the thing is that so does edge, hes been busting his ass in this buisness for a long time, ladder mathces, hardcore matches, MITB, TLC (last years against cena was actually good ), hes awsome on the mic, and can actually make a singles match fun, sooo i dont know now.. maybe they could make a long feud between the 2, and after like... 7 months edge loses the title... ok a feud that long would never work, but egde needs a long title reign so i guess kane being champ will have to wait... maybe he could feud with taker when he comes back and wins it from edge, taker and kane put on a hell of a match even if they are big men...

Seeing as though he beat Batista I think they will create a loophole for Batista and use it to give him back the title.If not then we get an actuall really well deserved long title reign from Edge.

I think what we all need to realize is that Edge is going to keep the belt awhile and go through oppenent after oppenent until Undertaker returns and wins the his title back. Batista has been the champ before and last time he was the main Vinne Mac wasnt thrilled giving him the gold back so i doubt we will see him get it back. Rey wont win it back as Vince dont like his size as before it worked for storyline purpose and if JBL washealthy at JD 2006 he would have won the gold. MVP is still developing so hes out of teh equation and Hardy will never be champion as he can not draw and Edge will make him lookd bad. flair is too old to be the man so Edge will be champion until Taker comes back plain and simple.

Well lets all be honest Taker would probaly still be champ if he would not have gotten hurt. As far as matt goes give him a us title run and see how he does before moving him up. the only singles title he has ever won in wwe was the cruiserweight come on.Its funny when u look where edge is now hell i remember 5-6 years ago"maybe my count is wrong" when he was going against Val venus for the Ic title

under nornal circumstances i'd be stoked with kane having a shot at the title, for such a major crowd puller back in the day he deserves to be champ for longer than he has, plus he's had to job in his last couple of feuds (henry and - this woulda been a slap in the face- khali). so i'd be stoked to see him as champ.....BUT from what i gather it's pretty much accepted that edge will be chmp for a fair while yet so unfortunately i'm not as excited as i would otherwise be.

but hey, i like edge so it could be worse ie cena, batista lashley etc

Edge will lose the title to Rey Mysterio or Undertaker. It will probably go like this: Mysterio will beat Edge for the title at Unforgiven or No Mercy, Edge will quickly regain it back at Armaggedon or the Royal Rumble. Taker will return and eventually challenge Edge for the title which will more than likely take place at WM24. There are also rumours that Edge is suppose to have a very long title reign so he might keep it all the way to WM24 only to lose it against Taker.

I believe he should keep the title til Wrestlemania. There I feel like he should lose it to Kennedy. I think Kennedy could be a huge heel on Raw for most of the year, but around Rumble time, maybe take a face turn, and then win the Rumble. Then, he could do what he promised when he won the money in the bank, and headline Wrestlemania, but instead of challenging Cena or whoever is Raw champ at the time (who am I kidding, it'll still be Cena) who should go after Edge, the man who screwed him to begin with, and then become the new Smackdown Champ.

i dont think rey is gonna beat edge, as vince said him being WHC was a one of a time thing, he said he probably wont go down that road again =/

so maybe rey is gonna stay and feud with MVP/Matt for the US title...

Alrighty, Well nice opinions. But remember the last Hardy and Edge feud? Went to disaster as they both got injured, I dont think smackdown wants to lose their only good superstars now do they?
Also Edge might lose it to Kane and then retain it on smackdown so that Batista can be back in the title game.
In othyer words, Rey fell short to his title reign but I see him winning it around No Mercy.

I'm hoping something is going to come of the recent Kane push.

After he returned and beat MVP, the article on WWE.com posted about how he was returning more focused than ever and ready to sit on top of the WWE once again.

Then comes the news of Kane facing Edge for the title at Great American Bash. Edge puts Kane over, reminding everyone that it's been a "Decade of Dominance" for Kane. Then, Jim Ross commented on how Kane could be one of the most underrated stars ever in WWE.

I'm hoping this all amounts to something. At 10 years as the Kane character, it'd be a great time for Kane to have the belt.

I hope he can win at Great American Bash or Summerslam. I'd just like to see him have it for a month. He can lose it quickly back to Edge. The point of him being champion wouldn't be for him to have a monumental run. It would just be to give him the reward he's deserved for so long and to give him the title for a month.

He can break up Edge's title reign, similar to the way Edge broke up Cena's very lengthy reign at NYR '06. Cena gained it back, what, two weeks later? Maybe three?

Kane can easily be given the title for a month. It helps Kane look good once again as he is a champion. Plus, it helps Edge look really good, where no matter who's thrown at him, you can't hold him down for too long to the point that he loses to Kane, but is so good he could take it right back.

Or Kane could get it right when Undertaker is about to return. Take would tease turning on his brother for the belt but then just raise his arm or somethin...do things like that for awhile but they ultimately battle over the belt in one last epic clash.

But bringing Matt Hardy into the main event would be awesome against Edge. It is just so believable and it wouldn't look synthetic too the audience because we all know of their history.

Oh man the prospects are awesome but I don't want Edge to lose the belt in the typical bad guy fashion he's too good! Maybe he could do some big spot where he "injures" himself and is forced to drop it or they don't hear from him for weeks after so they hold an interm tourney for the belt which Hardy whens. Then when Edge gets back they can have a heated feud for the real belt, crazy.

Hopefully he'll drop it to Kane. Kane's being pushed as a focused cahracter right now and rightfully so. Kane should be peeved with his recent track of jobbing and thus a great return may do his character justice and to be so unexpected make it also more realistic in a sense. So yeah I doubt they'll go this way but damn well hope they do!

You can tell by my name what I think. I really didn't care that Edge is champion. I hate the fact that he took the title from, in my opinion, one of the greatest wrestlers/characters that have ever graced us with their preasence, (The Undertaker)! Now, I do care that Edge is the Champ, because I believe that if the WWE does not start using Kane for what he was, is, and can be (i.e. a monster), then his hard working career will have been for nothing! Kane deserves the title more than anyone on the Smackdown roster. Yes, even more than The Phenom! The recent push for his character is very evident to the fact that they are trying to build his character for some reason. I would like Edge to drop it to Kane and have Kane and his older brother duke it out one more time for the one thing that they have never fought for in a one on one match! THE TITLE! But, this time, and I hate to say this, have Kane beat his older brother for the first time in a one on one match. This would salidify Kane's greatness and make him one of the best in WWE's history, as he already is in my veiw. BUT, this will not happen, because I see Edge being the champ for long time to come. It's actually not going to be transitional this time folks, he will actually be a reigning champion!

in my opinion seeing as edge is suposetly having a long reign the logical choice for him to lose it to is MVP because the only reason
MVP is still a heel is because he has been against established faces if u put him in a feud against someone who is in the "neutral" zone between an uber face and say another newer up and comer and then have him face the uberly cool heel edge he would be a face but because hes been in fued w/ matt hardy, chris benoit, and kane who are very established crowd favorites he hasnt been looked at as a face as u can notice on smackdown editing cant hide that the crowd is slowly but surely turning him face. by wm24 i can see MVP and mr kenedy in there brands main event (not facing eachother )

I am actually hoping that Edge drops it to Kane, Kane has a long reign (which he truly deserves), and it ultimately leads to another Kane V. Taker feud. Kane and Taker feuds are always great and with the title on the line, it would be huge.
Unfortunately, it has been said that Edge is set for a long title reign, so Kane will probably just job to Edge (like he has everyone else), lose to Rey and regain quickly so Batista is back in it, and eventually lose to Taker for his final title reign and ant Wrestlemania match next year.

These are the guys I could see winning the belt from Edge

1.Undertaker-this too me is the obvious choice because in storyline Edge cashed in the MITB while Taker was down after a cage match and I can see Taker coming back for revenge upon his return probaly similar to hes return against Kane at WM 20 they will probaly have all these mind games going on in Edges head and show a countdown to Survivor Series (i think that is when he rumored to return)

2. Rey-simply because he will come back and say he was screwed by Chavo and was out on injury or he would be holding the title blah blah blah and just because hes one of the few faces on the Smackdown roster I could see this happening around No Mercy or somewhere in that area because when he gets back I dont think they will just stick him in a match with Edge with no momentum but they might

3-Ric Flair-because hes another one of the few faces right now on Smackdown and its being rumored that he may retire after WM and they could want to give him that 17th title run that ive been waiting for for along time now id really like to see Flair hold the belt once more but i dont think it will happen..I bet he does have a feud with Edge but he'll probaly be another victim of the "ultimate oppurtunist"

You could say Matt Hardy could but i think right now they see him as a US champ and i think he will either win it at the GAB or Summerslam from MVP i dont think hes quite ready for the title yet and will have a run with the US Title before the WHC

Kane could be on that list and rightfully so..I think Kane should have another run with the belt instead of a one day fluke they gave him along time ago but as much as id like too see it and most of you... he will probaly just be thrown in there since he is a face and will be defeated by Edge a couple of times but he needs a run

He's destroyed everyone in his path even the #1 contender Kane. Although Henry vs. Edge wouldn't really work because they're both heels but maybe a triple threat between Edge, Rey, and Henry for the championship in Summerslam would be great with Mark Henry as the new champion.

MARK HENRY!!! are you kidding me! not trying to bash you if you like Henry but goodness thats the last person besides Batista that id even want around the title just look at him hes horrible in the ring its hard to even watch him when hes on squashing Funaki all the time and hes also horrible on the mic all he ever says is hes king of the jungle and also he wouldnt draw anything at all he doesnt even get a reaction with the fans right now theres no way Edge will ever be dropping it to Henry because Henry is a heel as well and I would think WWE would have more sense than to put this guy in the main event scene especially as crappy as he is in my mind Henry would never be a good champion and IMO all hes good for is a squash match against Eugene every week..Edge will never drop the belt to Henry

I think Rey Mysterio should get the title, but not right away. I think he should feud with Chavo for the cruserweight championship (that might actually mean making a story for the cruserweights WWE). I don't see MVP winning it because he is still new and he just got the U.S. championship. I also of see Ric Flair getting the title for the 17th time somewhere towards the end of the year towards beggining of next year and retiring.
