who really got wm buyrate over a mill

Most people come on hear and say, oh the rock is the one that made the buy rates of wrestlemania over 1 million. Well i disagree. I think it was because of snooki. For obvious reasons. Who wouldn't pay to see snooki lay the smackdown. I know I would. So what do you guys think.

Is crack free now?? Coz it must be considering how ******ed you are.... Snooki?? Really? It was everything but snooki... Rock hosting, 10 years anniversary of their epic match at wm17, triple h vs taker II, orton/punk and to a degree cena/miz. The fucking LAST reason would be because of that filthy mongaloid snooki.. Jesus tap-dancing Christ.

Jesus tap-dancing Christ.

Holy shit it's Mr. Garrison from south park, i never knew you were a wrestling fan, btw how's Mr. Hat? :p
sorry i had to do it

anyway on to the question, who really got Wrestlemania over 1 million buys? well it was no one man or woman or snooki im sorry but snooki is neither male or female, it was most of the matches on the card and all the build ups and yes the rock did have a lot to do with it but he didnt single handedly rise the buyrates to 1million, let's be honest if it was just 4 hours of rock talking 1million people wouldnt buy the ppv

Apologies for my above post, my computer glitched

I don't buy into "oh the Rock got the buyrate over one mill!". What was he supposed to do? Host, right? Who would wanna see that? Wait, even better question: who would wanna pay over $50 for THAT?

I doubt Snooki is the reason it went up either. Maybe it was. Let's say junior wanted to watch the PPV sooooooo very badly, but his parents didn't love him or decided it's not worth $55. Big sister walks into the living room while junior is watching Monday Night Raw and sees that Snooki is billed for WM (she watches Jersey Shore in this example), she'll be "OMG OMG SNOOKI WILL BE WRESTLING THIS SUNDAY!" and texts her girlfriends the big news. Now we have junior and big sis who want to watch WM. Will the parents be willing to purchase it as long as big sis doesn't rack up her cell phone bill or some other lame excuse (LOL :D) I can think of? Probably. Or they might get it for junior 'cause they love big sis sooooo very much and that's all junior has.

...I just saw that one commercial for some DVR thingamajig.

I'm betting it was John Cena vs The Miz. Come on, the Miz is over and I'm sure it would have been bigger than say John Cena vs Randy Orton or John Cena vs Triple H or some other same old same old. Or maybe people actually wanted to see The Undertaker vs Triple H. Who knows.

My betting is its the same reason that almost all other PPV's are down this year that every one is bare ass broke and mummy and daddy or whomever said they can have mania but that's it. Same with students and every one else they could only afford one and saved for the biggy.

I think it was the same reason that the last few PPV have been doing good. People are slowly getting back into wrestling. at least that's how I see it cause more people I know have been asking me what been happening with the product and discussing it....so deff not the ugly ****e bag snookie.

:disappointed:Snooki? Really? She was there, she did one decent move, we moved on to better things. But really?

The Rock was the main attraction of Wrestlemania for people!!! Finally after 17 years he returned to host the big one, and people bought to see what he did.

John Cena was a main attraction!!! John Cena the favourite with women and kids everywhere faced the man that everyone hates, The Miz.

UnderTaker vs HHH was a main attraction!!! HHH vs Under taker II, the streak on the line in a very brutal match was a selling point.

Snooki was a failure, she was in a match with two of the most promising wrestlers that people wanted to see in a match that wasnt just a fill in.

Lol. Troll much, bro? Seriously, whyumad, tho?

Okay, aside from Snooki probably being responsible for fewer buy rates, it's easily the Rock. Look, Cena and everyone else involved are great and iconic, in their own ways. But, none of them had the steam that Rock will always have. I know people who haven't watched wrestling in over ten years, but they started tuning back in when I told them Rock was coming back. I'm not saying Rock is the best ever or anything, but he's been away for forever and he's built up his star-power in all other sorts of mediums. People will pay to see Rock do his thing, especially if he's been away for years and years. I think Rock actually detracted from the show, in retrospect, but his presence really caught the attention of anyone who knows what wrestling is; Hogan used to have the same pull, too. A lot of great performers were on the WM 27 card, but Rock was the star-power that warranted 1,000,000 buys.

I think it was The Rock and Taker/HHH. That match was just so classic and epic. And The Rock made the event "electrifying". Snooki? I definitely don't think alot of Jersey Shore fans would buy a DVD just for a 10 minute appearance from Snooki.

Snooki didn't hurt the number of PPV buys that is for sure but no one in their right mind would saw she is responsible for the million buys.

Nasa did a study with the help of Stephen Hawking, the Better Business Bureau and Planned Parenthood and determined the following effect each had on the total PPV buys:

1) It's Wrestlemania 60%
2) Cena-Miz 17%
3) The Rock 9%
4) Undertaker-Triple H 6%
5) Punk-Orton 3%
6) Trish Stratus 2%
7) Snooki 1%
8) Edge-ADR 1%
9) Other 1%

Margin of error ±3.5%

Can't argue with science. Clearly Wrestlemania has become a draw in itself just by the name. The matches and celebrities have their value but ultimately it's WWE and the Wrestlemania name that keep people coming back.

17 years dude? Really? I think you are missing something because didn't Rock compete at WM 20? lol! 17 years would put us at WM 37 ;)
And to be fair lots of women dislike Cena. Orton is the ladies choice (or so they've been saying). Cena's square head is a turn off for women.

Anyways You can't really put it on 1 person that WM had such high buyrates. It's WRESTLEMANIA!!!
HHH vs Undertaker
The Rock
etc etc
The Aids infested Snook can't be responsible for that many buy rates. Hell that b*tch got leveled on the Jersey Shore for REAL why would someone want to watch her fake a punch?

Her appearance maybe bumped the buys by 5 viewers (there are always those nerdy guys that oogle over the thought that she MIGHT have a wardrobe malfunction or something).

But to say it was because of SNOOKI :wtf::wtf::wtf::wtf:

Snooki couldn't sell a vibrator to a porn star let alone cause 1million PPV buys. Dman, lay off the crack...it will only hurt you...

Of course it was snookie. The ratings pre mania prove it. Rock brought the show to a weak 3.8 or so (wwe usually goes into the 4's leading to mania).. The rocks well advertised birthday bash brought a 3.4 rating.. MTV jersey shore brought in 8.8 million viewers. jersey shore is most popular in america... the buyers that pushed mania OVER a million were NEW DOMESTIC VIEWERS... This is all from Snookie and jersey shore...100% Internet wrestling fans can say what you want but this is true.. Just as the fact that cm punk does not draw. I..yes I personally like cm punk, but guys like us that wrestled themselves or go on internet forums are the MINORITY. My nephew, who has every wwe figure n watches raw each week n goes to the big arenas to watch wwe live does NOT go on internet forums nor does he go to indy shows. We like Punk...he and obviously many other FORMER WWE VIEWERS do not.

ok all of u act like the ppl who bought wm were the iwc.

really do u think ppl would give two shits abt cena/miz, del rio/edge cole/king and snooki.

maybe u dont want to give the man credit but facts are facts.

the card except taker/hhh was very very lame. not at all wrestlemania material.

this years wrestlemania was simply saved by the rock who is the reason the buyrate went over a mil. no other reason and anyone believing otherwise is a naive fool.

i enjoyed the matches but the card really wasnt all that good. i think its a pretty common phrase heard all over the world regarding this years wrestlemania.

i saw wrestlemania because of the rock. sell out or not. backstabber or not. same old same old or not. the rock is the biggest thing to come out of the wwe. yes i said it and its true. the rock had an illustrious wrestling career and made it big in hollywood which no other wrestler has done. many have tried but none succeeded.

this years mania credit goes simply to the rock. il admit despite the rock being there i didnt really like wrestlemania a lot but i did buy it. why. because i wanted to see the rock at wrestlemania after 7 years. and that is what most of the world thinks.

as a guy said above. one girl texted the other that snooki is on wrestlemania. how many girls would actually tune into wrestlemania. dailymotion streams wrestlemania online. im pretty sure they wouldnt spend 50 bucks on snooki for a demonstration of a backflip.

so once again. it wasnt cena/miz it wasnt king/cole and it sure as hell wasnt snooki. it was all the rock and to an extent taker/hhh and thats the truth no matter how much it may hurt.

:wtf:In the words of the Miz "really really"

Why would several viewers of jershy shore order ppv because snooki gonna be in a match, sure they l watch if they are she'll get drunk before the match and reveils thing that havent aired.

sure if she gonna go on ellen or any of that shits talk show she those guys gonna watch but not order a frigin ppv for 40 bucks

I highly doubt non-wrestling fans would pay 50 bucks to watch Snooki in a match that every non wrestling fan sees as "fake" because the matches are predetermined. WrestleMania drew for multiple reasons...

1) WWE is continually growing their overseas markets.
2) The Rock returning certainly gave people a reason to buy it.
3) Undertaker VS HHH...everyone knew these two wouldn't disappoint at WrestleMania.
4)Michael Cole vs Lawler...ok that one is a lie.

Honestly though, Rock played a HUGE role in it but there certainly were other factors.

If the buy rates were over a million, then a million were probably disappointed. I thought Wrestlemania 27 was the biggest piece of fucking garbage, I have ever watched in my life. I would have rather watched that Justin Bieber movie, and I hate that little weasel. Wrestlemania was atrocious this year, hands down horrible. The booking was terrible, the matches were terrible, and the promos in between were terrible. Can't forget that Snooki was there either, that certainly didn't help, although if I remember correctly, I was taking a shit at that time (Which I might add, looked better then Wrestlemania) so I didn't see the entire diva match.

Triple H vs Undertaker...wasn't as bad as HBK vs Undertaker the year before, a matter a fact it was ten times better. HHH and Undertaker was hands down the best match, and surprise surprise, I wasn't pleased with it. I mostly wasn't happy because it kept reminding me of last years match. Let me get this off my chest. Shawn Michaels and Undertaker, repeatedly kicking out of each other's finishers non stop for 30 minutes, does not make a good match. WWE has this little magic spell they use, that whenever two guys keep kicking out of finishers, all the fans in the arena, all the fans sitting at home watching on their TV, are automatically in awe.

Well it's fucking annoying. To answer your question though, it was The Rock that sold. Everyone of those 18-30 year old males that were engaged to the Attitude Era, and love sucking the cock of The Rock, the same ones who got pissed once the PG Era came along and left, are the people who raised sales. They saw that good Ol' Dwayne Johnson was going to be there, and they just had to buy. The same Dwayne Johnson that left to go do movies, left the company and didn't give a damn what happened to it, that Dwayne Johnson. The same Dwayne Johnson that left, who is still considered one of the greatest entertainers of all time, one of the greatest contributors to the business, he contributed all right...to Hollywood running around wearing tutus.

I apologize, I think I got carried away there.
